january sketchbook tour!! (Patreon)

WOOOO SKETCHBOOK TIME!! ya girl has been drawing more often which feels very very good. i've been experimenting with some different styles and coloring methods and i'm trying to just embrace the process instead of being like ALERT THIS IS BAD STOP STOP STOP because! ya gotta make bad art to make good art. i'm in a tiny block right now (i'm trying to design my new thank you inserts for orders and i'm having a very hard time) so i'm about to go post up at a cafe and draw a bunch of my friends' instagram photos lolol

a warm up sketch page! the lady in the middle was practice for a commission i did later that day (i also like the fancy judgmental chick at the top there)

i really like the way the red sweater girl turned out on this warm up sketch post — i think that i turned the noise up a bit too much but i like the mix of clean line art with messy lineart and the sketchy way of coloring them in!!

tho i am STOKED on my new freebie postcards — they're gonna come in like 8 different colors so each order gets a different color, and i think i'm gonna make a full set with different sayings in the middle to sell as a postcard set!! 

last page of this sketchbook! took me oct 2017 - january 2019 to finish it. hopefully i'll finish my new sketchbook quicker! also i think that moleskine art sketchbooks are my absolute fave the paper is so good ;—;

i took a walk around my neighborhood and drew some cute houses while standing on the sidewalk looking like a CREEP but it was good practice! excited to color these in — might even break out my copics again! and then there's a cool bar nearby with a big crow on the sign so i tried my hand at drawing that too. 

and that's that! gonna hopefully film a sketchbook tour of that finished sketchbook tomorrow (weather permitting) and get that up on the WEB this friday. we'll see!!
