Greetings Order of Shieldice! I hope you're all doing well. With today's post, I need your help! 🛡 This project will most likely end up being a Kickstarter or Game Crafter product, so I wanted to give you all access to the digital file super early!

'The World Oracle' is a deck of Tarot Cards used by GMs and Solo players to generate abstract world maps that contain locations, item prompts, and quest icons. 🗺

Simply draw and place cards beside one another, connecting roads and prompt words, and allow the abstract nature of the landmark layouts to generate stories and a world within your mind.

I've been working on the artwork for these for a while now, and was hoping you could all test them out and let me know what you think. The file may be a little printer-ink-heavy at the moment, as they'll eventually be printed by a card printing company soon. I'll try and make a more printer friendly version in the future!

If you do print them out, let me know how they work for you when generating a world. I have designed the cards with the hope that they can be used in many different ways, with many different systems, for in-game overland travel or GM world-building.

[ Please comment below with any ideas or additions - such as 'The World Oracle: High Seas!' etc. ]

Printing Advice: Desktop printers may not print the backs entirely flush with the card fronts, as there tends to be slight movement, so some 'nudging' of the files may be in order. If you take the file to a local printshop and ask for them to be printed on 300gsm, cut down, then get some tarot size card sleeves for them [2.75” x 4.75”], they should work fine! 😊

Thank you so much for sticking around here everyone! Your support means the world. I'm busy working on  larger projects at the moment, but I'll be posting some smaller easy-to-use tools very soon!

Found a typo: Campsite Card, D5 Camp Floor - very much guessing should be D4 ;)

Brandon

Do you have a low ink version available to print at home?

Hi Brandon! Apologies, not yet. The file is for a printing company in order to do a Kickstarter or Game Crafter project (I'm not sure what to do with them yet!). I will work on one in the near future 😃
