— Listen, Josh, this… this whole thing is starting to piss me off — Nick glanced around nervously, his eyes darting across the busy streets filled with pedestrians. It seemed like no one cared about the two slim girls in tight sports outfits. But not them. — I thought we were just gonna mess around and get out, not get stuck in these chicks’ bodies for so long!

— Calm down, Nick — Josh, now a slim brunette with a short haircut, frowned at him through dark sunglasses. He looked calmer, though every step revealed his nervousness. — We’ll find them. They obviously couldn’t have gone far… — he glanced at his watch. — Damn, it’s been two hours since we were supposed to switch back! We should’ve gone to the police… Looks like we miscalculated, maybe we should’ve waited there... — How he regretted that decision to "play" around in these unknown girls' bodies, who they initially mistook for prostitutes, but it turned out they really managed to switch bodies with them. They left them alone for just an hour, and it looked like the girls were even worried about their bodies, so neither Josh nor Nick suspected anything was off.

— No way we miscalculated! — Nick snapped, grabbing at the waistband of the low-slung track pants that kept threatening to slip down. — I’m sure they just ditched us. So what now? The police? Seriously?! You really think we can just walk in and say, “Excuse us, we’re actually guys, they stuffed us into these bodies”? They’ll lock us up in a mental hospital!

Josh squinted, his gaze fixed on a parked car ahead. A black SUV rolled slowly back, then edged forward again as if assessing them. He swallowed but tried not to show fear.

— Stay calm, Nick. Don’t panic. First, we need to figure out who’s behind this. Maybe it’s just… a misunderstanding.

— A misunderstanding?! — hysteria rang in Nick’s voice. — Who the hell are we right now? Look at this — he ran a hand over his flat stomach, adorned with a small tattoo. — I’m even breathing differently! And this is a misunderstanding to you?!

Josh didn’t have time to reply. The SUV’s door swung open, and two men in sportswear stepped out. Their confident movements and direct stares left no doubt: they were looking for these girls.

— Hey, May! Claire! — one of the guys called out loudly, tall and broad-shouldered, a cocky grin on his face. — What the hell are you doing out here? We agreed we’d pick you up straight at the club.

Josh and Nick exchanged looks, their eyes wide with silent questions.

— Do you know them? — Nick whispered, barely moving his lips.

— Nope… — Josh muttered back quietly, struggling to keep his voice steady.

— So why’re you just standing there like you’re glued to the spot? — the shorter, stockier guy stepped closer. His eyes roamed over their figures with open appraisal. — You’re ours for the whole weekend. Don’t try to bail, girls. Remember last time? — his smile turned almost predatory.

— W-What are you even talking about? — Josh tried to sound firm, but his new voice came out too soft, too… feminine. Even he flinched at the contrast. — We’re just… heading home…

— What’s up, May, lost your mind or something? — the first guy smirked, reaching out to wrap an arm around Nick’s waist. — We thought you’d be ready by now. What, you forgot about your debts? — He winked and smacked her hip like they were long-time buddies. — Let’s go already. Today’s a big day. Just don’t screw it up, or Chris will lose his shit.

Nick froze, a shiver running down his spine at the touch. He gaped, but no sound came out. His mind raced, struggling to comprehend how this “fun” had spiraled into complete madness.

— Look, we, umm, can’t today… — Josh started, hoping this might work. But the man took a step closer, grabbing his chin and forcing him to meet his gaze.

— Quit playing hard to get, May. If you don’t like it, tell Chris straight to his face, but you’re not gonna like his answer. — His fingers dug painfully into Josh’s soft skin. — So just be a good girl, and we’ll all get along fine. Got it?

— Got it… — Josh muttered, lowering his gaze before reluctantly repeating louder, struggling to free himself from the grip: — Got it.

— That’s my girl! — the guy released him abruptly and clapped his hands. — Now, into the car. Move it.

Nick had started backing away when the stocky guy wrapped an arm around his shoulder and, like a rag doll, steered him toward the open SUV door. He wanted to resist but felt his muscles tense, his body seeming foreign and unresponsive. They were squeezed between the two men in the backseat, the door closing with a solid thud as the vehicle pulled away.

— So, ladies — the one on the right drawled mockingly, slipping an arm around Nick’s shoulders. — This is gonna be a hell of a weekend, isn’t it? Chris’s birthday today, and he wants you two to be his best little kitties.

Both new girls’ hearts pounded wildly. Josh stole a glance at Nick, and in that look was pure panic. These guys clearly knew “May” and “Claire” way too well. And if they didn’t play their parts…

— Of course… — Nick croaked, avoiding the smirking man’s gaze. — We’ll… try our best.

Josh clenched his lips, feeling a boiling mix of fear and fury inside. Whoever set up this trap, he would find out. But for now… they had no choice.

Because if these guys realized they weren’t the girls they were looking for… things would definitely get ugly.
