Oh god this is me reading any series especially when there’s years (decades in some cases) between releases (looking at you A Song of Ice and Fire, The Kingkiller Chronicle, The Demon Cycle, The Gentleman Bastard Sequence).

Seriously Brian! Mine included Connie Willis, the late Terry Pratchett, and I'd totally given up on Jasper Fforde's 'coming soon' sequel to '09's "Shades of Grey" (no, NOT the one with 50 shades)! When "Red Side Story" was released this year it felt like Christmas morning after years of figuring I'd die first (and then just haunt Fforde till it was done, while reading over his shoulder).
