MANGA THIS MANGA THAT HELL NAH

Jacob L

FYI there’s post credit on ep11

DerozTY

damn the anime is GOOD. I understand why people who didn't read the manga enjoy it so much

DerozTY

It was a running gag that Koma was always bragging about his past as the Devil Ape, but every time someone cut him off lol Now we see that he wasn't talking shit

Ron Jackson Jr

aight ron u cant sing buddy bit of a voice cracked there

DerozTY

what Ron says at 25:08 is really funny when you know they about to watch akame ga kill

Audium

We all hope that one day, production will pick this up and redo the anime and give us the 24 episodes we deserve. We all know this anime is a money maker too. So many people would buy into it and be all about it too.

terrance trueheart

Never read the manga but I thought seasons 1 and 2 of Tokyo ghoul were absolutely amazing. Personally season 3 is where it starts to lose me and season 4 was the worst for me. Still think ppl are a lil too harsh on the anime as a whole.

Chris Bogomas

Nah considering they moved plot points and cut out whole arcs it’s justified imo

Dylan Gardner

Always forget how great of a character Touka is, also voice acter is amazing. Highly recommend reading the manga or at least going into season 3 (Re) with an open mind. It at least wraps up the story though at warp speed... oh and prepare to be totally lost at the beginning if you don't read the manga.

Allokinetic

Remember throughout the show, Koma kept saying "y'know back in my day I was known as the devil ape!" and everyone kept cutting him off or ignoring him when he said it. lol

Allokinetic

Season 1 was peak, season 2 was good, but they cut too much between s2 and s3 that they just butchered it. Unfortunate really, when the source material should've been a slam dunk for this studio. :/

Lycoris radiata

They probably never realized it lmao, I only realized that until the second watch through. You really have to pay attention to the dialog in this anime to catch the little things. Another reason why I love this series.

Lycoris radiata

Remember guys that there is a post creddit scene in episode 11 and 12!!!! Don't forget to miss it.

Lycoris radiata

Also remember that this season was meant to be anime original story but mid production of the anime they scrapped the idea. That's why some of the episodes of this season feels rushed or some aspects dont give a detailed explanation around the middle of the anime they decided to go the manga route but since they were only allowed to do 12 episodes everything just felt rushed unfortunately 😕

Brien

I don’t keep up with this series but just wanted to say I love you guys and you’re my favorite creators❤️

jiwon330

i hope ep 11-12 Together

Saith Uchiha

They need to Remake Tokyo ghoul. Trust me a good studio for one of my favorite mangas. The studio fucked up and as a manga reader you need to stop after this season.

Saith Uchiha

Do not watch next season as a huge Tokyo Ghoul fan.

Spencer Smith

Watch all seasons please don't stop

Seb

shits about to go down

tommaso giobbi

Ep 11-12 together would be dope as its the season finale 🫡

Camron Mallory

Episode 11-12 together please

Kwabs Maniac

Yall gotta watch the last 2 episodes today

Heartz04

Make your own minds up if you want to the watch the next season, ignore the comments😩 in my opinion, the show lowkey gets ruined after this season but people will have different opinions

Patrone07

Glad someone mentioned it because I was like ain't no way the don't atleast remember devil ape guy but the episode gave em a lay up so we good 👍

Rocketboy

To me if you did not read the manga, season 2 is perfectly fine i’m pretty confident you’ll like it

RorotheShadow

I think you should just watch everything and form your own opinion at the end. I always think it sucks when people say don't watch this and then you don't. In doing so, these people have robbed you of the chance to form your own opinion. But that's just how I see it.

Mavoal On fleek

i agree with the comments here, watch all of it and form your own tokyo ghoul opinion, after all we are not talking of a 200 episode type anime.

Kcashforever

Tokyo ghoul anime doesn’t even folllow the manga after season 1. And when the manga releasing it was one of the biggest mangas out top 1-3 every year. Tokyo ghoul manga till this day is a top 10 manga in my opinion

Usher

The devil ape was foreshadowed throughout the whole season. At first I thought the dude was joking when he shoved this topic here and there but he stands on business

inno#2732

def keep watching lol, dont let the community ruin it for you, if you end up not liking it while watching, at least you were able to form your own opinion on it.

Kee

I don't have an exact answer for you Ron when it comes to "How and why can an anime mess up the manga". There's a lot of reason why anime sometimes divert from the manga. Most of the time it's because the manga is really popular at the time and gets an early anime adaptation. The anime catches up to the source material and a lot of different things can happen. -Entire filler arcs to let the original manga progress -They change the story so that the anime can be it's own thing -They slow the pace down via a bunch of different means. -etc. etc. Sometimes, I heard, it's at the will of the author itself. It can be because they want the anime to attract people to read the manga and so they don't have the anime cover the entire content of the original work and/or change it up. There's just tons of different reasons why the original work can be changed during an adaptation.

Tomedn

First comment on a video here, I've been watching you both for over a year now and just had to comment as would love to see you guys react to the other seasons. I appreciate the anime may not have lived up to manga readers expectations, but as a non-tokyo ghoul manga reader this is one of my favourite anime of all time. Sure, season 2 does feel like there are some gaps in information but it ends beautifully and I find the rest of the anime to be a lot more informative. Would love to see you guys go on watching this :)

Alex

One day we will get a remake. one day.

Taiga

When Akira was trying to kiss him, Amon was like: "Akira stop setting flags", and blocked her mouth XD

SomchineVang

Finish what you started for the ghouls fans!

Rocketboy

Love the fact that bro has been saying « I’m the ape devil » for the entire season but no one listened to him and turns out he’s been badass all this time

Taiga

I think the show gets worse after this season. But i think it's get worse, not because of this season, but because it gets worse in general. I've read the manga, and TG:RE manga also gets worse, pacing is worse, artstyle is worse, it's sometimes hard to distinguish characters, because they look the same. Sometimes it's hard to tell if the scene is in current time or flashbacks (there's a lot of flashbacks iirc). Many of the things the author introduced earlier gets forgotten (like the concept of different types of Kagunes for example). For how good/bad the manga is, i think the TG:Re anime doesn't do much worse.

Taiga

I think he even mentioned it in the 1st season, ngl.

Zaphora

AOT is what an anime that catches up to the manga but waits for the manga looks like. Takes an eternity to release but it's incredibly high quality when it does. Tokyo ghoul manga is incredibly good and the big changes come around the end of s1. You could still watch s3/4 as an anime without having any expectations or following all the minor details and still enjoy it as by itself detached from the manga it is still good Just not as great as it could've been

BLANK

U gotta watch last bit of episodes in one video cause they link together 👀👀👀 u just have too..............pls? 🤣🤣

Bri

These last few eps… bye

Kee

Yea I'm aware. I was just speaking for anime in general. Not Tokyo Ghoul specifically. I am a believer that if you didn't read the manga, the anime by itself is good. I have no idea for S3/4 since I haven't watched them myself. But I'm not against them reacting to it or anything. I don't particularly like when people try to gatekeep an anime because the "manga is better". My reasoning being that even if a particular manga is a 10/10 and the anime doesn't do it justice. The anime in question could still be a 7/10 and is therefore still a worthwhile watch. As for Rice&Ginger, they are reactors that covers mostly anime and as of now they don't do read along. So they might as well watch as long as it's a good standalone anime. Regardless if it's not as good as the source material.
