Parmvir Dhugha

I’ve been waiting for this one 😭

gdnsx

peak part: #1 of this arc...

EnzoTorales

I’m not ready

beannieswife

nah this one gets me sobbing every time, I’m not ready

EnzoTorales

Usopp was definitely in the wrong here but luffy choose the worst approach too and that’s why everything escalated so quickly. This argument fell so real man, usopp sees himself in the merry and that’s why he just can’t let it go, I love One piece man.

vaughn

Let the emotions out because this arc loves to mess with them, glad to see genuine reaction to it :)

jiwon330

here we go..

Pain LaBaguette

ma man Ron felt it like we all did

ShaquanVirse

Surprise One Piece? Yesss Peak sadness

tonyylies

This one always hurts

EnzoTorales

This is more painful when you think about the fact that Usopp is luffy best friend.

Makayla Robinson

It’s crazy how things can escalate so fast I do think it could have been avoided if the approach was different on both sides but yea I hate these 2 episodes I usually skip it so sad 😞

tonyylies

I wanted to hear rons takeaway at the end but I understand cause its a sad episode.

Hamza

So perfectly written, so hard to watch everytime

Micole

These episodes were my 13th reason.

Parmvir Dhugha

Usopp leaving the crew is one of the saddest moments in the show

garri_d

Probably Usopp felt that his only impact to the crew was this ship, and now his insecurity about him being useless has reached it’s peak. And man, feelings at the end, this scene may bring back a lot of bad memories from anyone’s life

Shadoww

We all been there Ron ……. Its okay 😢

DarkGreenPhu

This is where One Piece didn't feel like a "kid's" show to me anymore... Peak still peaking!

Thunter

One piece broke my heart into Two Pieces 😭

Parmvir Dhugha

Some say usopps right. Some say luffys right. At the end of the day they’re two 17 year olds, the youngest in the crew, dealing with the situation in a wrong way. Usopp should’ve been more understanding and Luffy shouldn’t have just abruptly mentioned getting a new ship and should’ve taken account usopps connection to it. Both of them were immature and had to face the harsh reality of the situation. It’s not always sunshine and rainbows.

Seb

i'd keep the tissues around Ron

Joemar Villalon

Usopp is reflecting, he thinks just because they decided to get rid of Merry because she’s broken, they would get rid of him too for being useless.

100Rainy

A tragic duel with no winner. I feel bad for all the crew but especially Luffy, in this situation all his options were tough and it cost him one of his friends. As Zoro said though, it's a burden the captain must bear.

TheRealN

Request to watch the fight in dub lol

Shaide

This was tough to watch man because it’s so relatable 😭

Narwaldo

This show makes you feel like you know the characters personally like family. Then it hits you like this :(

EnzoTorales

Damn Ron really broke at the end man i totally feel you bro this episode is painful as fuck and with the fact that is so relatable too

The CulturedGentleman

First Reason why Sanji is the BEST strawhat. He has so much heart...and very socially aware. The instant he saw that Luffy was about so say something he would definitely regret he pushed rules to the side and attacked his captain. He also understood exactly how Usopp felt and therefore stopped Chopper from making a fucking sad situation way worse. The worst thing they could offer Usopp was more pity.

Billy

Damn I cried with y’all 😭

Sean

That hit something deep in Ron. This was a tough one to watch.

The CulturedGentleman

I strongly Urge you guys to have tissues ready for the rest of this show. If you have emotions, One Piece is gonna play on ALL of them going forward. I genuinely thought I was stoic until I watched this show and it made me sit and full on UGLY cry one night. Unreal

Mavoal On fleek

i've watched so many animes, and i don't understand why i get broken by fictional characters, it hits different than real people movies, i still remember this ep💔💔

sly

"that's what being a captain is. don't lose yourself. if you waver, who can we trust?" every fking time yo 🔥

gdnsx

aw man i wouldve liked to hear rons thoughts about why he found these episodes so sentimental at the end. i get it tho, sometimes you just wanna sit it out and think about it without speaking about it. for me personally, i found these 2 episodes so sentimental because of their bond of course. you usually see luffy and ussop so joyful. always playing around and making jokes while laughing. but when it comes to something serious and they come into conflict with their opinions thats when youre like dang, its serious. i dont know its just the conflict between 2 people who are usually so bonded that makes things like this so emotional. brotherly fights, in a way. i guess if you have brother(s) you could relate to it more too so maybe thats also why its so emotional. i hope i made sense.

Parmvir Dhugha

Ah man it hurts seeing them fight. They are legit like best friends and brothers. The peaceful flashbacks makes it even worse.

blackdheart

It’s hard to rewatch these episodes, my throat hurts seeing Ron like this. I hope you guys are okay

The CulturedGentleman

This. This one. He had always felt useless in the crew which is why he did odd jobs like always repairing the ship and artwork etc for them because unlike the rest who had very defined roles, he was just a friend tagging along for the ride.

gdnsx

its such a simple concept but its so deep for some who can relate to matters like this huh? at least for me that was the case

Changsta

I think Ron can totally relate to what happened in these two episodes. So it was very difficult for him to process these unexpected emotions. I think these episodes came out of left field for everyone. It's always been the Straw Hats vs. everyone else plus happy go lucky times. This was such a drastic foreign territory that just catches everyone off guard.

harinder

PEAK HAS BEGUN <3

Pedro Silva

yeah ron, i got you bro this is one piece.

beannieswife

oh my god, that ending took me by surprise😭 really hope you're ok ron :(

Amare D.

Damn hope y'all good

Ogbhino

BANGER!

Michelle Lam

yah. this hit me deep. wasnt able to talk for a good 5 min. will share in intro of next ep

jeremychavez

damnnn they never skip the discussion after any episode , one piece be hitting its alright

Bak choy

One Piece is a roller coaster of emotions and further cements the reason why it is my favourite anime of all time

The CulturedGentleman

Usopp always felt useless on the ship. He is the only one that doesn't have a defined role like cook or navigator, etc. He therefore tries to pull his weight by repairing the Merry because in a sense, he sees himself in it too since its like his main contribution from Kuina. In his eyes, if they are willing to part with the Merry now that its broken and useless, then soon they would replace him too. Fucking sad all around.

Jay

Been waiting for this episode.. damn. It still feels fresh and hurts the same. So good though and a turning point in the anime.

pink turtle

Damn, I didn't expect that ending 💔, hope you are ok Ron. One Piece can do that to you sometimes 😅. Thanks for doing your best to keep putting out videos despite your situation, hope your AC gets fixed and you guys are back to normalcy soon!

David Barron

And we're not even close to maximum peak.

Kai

zoro stayed with luffy while the others called for usopp, right hand man tingz

Dashaun Nuckles

I knew you guys liked naruto and their story so i know for sure you will like one piece since its better and have better emotional moments

jiwon330

i feel you ron.. It made me sadder when I saw you crying

The CulturedGentleman

Ive seen this show like 7 times already and this ep STILL made me cry lmao...Oda is different. just different

Monkey D. Luffy

well for the upcoming episodes keep a box of tissue handy.

No Remorse

❤️❤️ this episode hits far too many right in the memories.

Monkey D. Luffy

By the way ppl Ron wasn't actually crying. His allergies were acting up.

OneUglyGhost

To me this ark is where one piece starts

Kee

The episode that Usopp surprised the world. After saying he was useless and that he would be abandoned like the Merry, he just proves himself wrong. Man, I love this show.

Bunie

This is one of the things that sets One piece apart from from most other anime’s for me. The way it tackles certain issues and situations feels very authentic and real, you can’t help but feel connected to them and get emotional. Although this show seems very goofy and silly on the surface, it does have its serious, dark, and emotional moments and imo it’s done really well to bring out your feelings. Just be ready y’all cuz I remember crying a lot more throughout the series so definitely don’t expect this to be the last 😭

JT

I got a soft spot for Ussop & he always made me laugh, these episodes hit me hard.

Dandy Zoran

Its all right Ron, that scene hits hard. Let it all out

Parmvir Dhugha

Aight let’s get a lil deep. This isn’t just a ship for Usopp. He thinks of Merry as a crew member. He’s got a deep connection with the Merry as it was a gift from Kaya and a piece of his home in Syrup Village. Usopp leaving the crew is deep rooted as well. Him not wanting to abandon the merry is him projecting his own insecurities. He thinks of himself as weak and especially after the recent situation with the Franky family, a burden to the crew. He doesn’t want to be abandoned again. If you look at his childhood, his father left when he was young, his mother died shortly after. He finally gets a new family but his own insecurities take over and get the best of him. So he leaves the crew before they have a chance to hurt him and leave him behind which is a real world defense mechanism. Usopps a great example of how real one piece gets. We were all crying with you Ron. I haven’t cried more for a show than One Piece and especially this saga we are watching now.

Kae

This episode… the tears through the hat… It’s still as heavy as the first time I watched it

Dan Richa9097

There are more tears to come on this wonderful journey in the world of one piece. This is what happens when you fall in love with and ensemble cast

Ron Jackson Jr

cuz I enjoy them. Bro I like this anime wtf u on about this wasn’t a hate comment bruh u make me feel like I’m the villain 😭

MARMAR

Such an impactful moment its crazy how everyone was emotionally thunderstruck in that moment and Zoro was their rock beautiful words from the best swordsman

Kesendo

I'm genuinely curious, why do One Piece fans strongly want people to like One Piece more than Naruto, and why do you constantly feel the need to compare the two instead of actually discussing the episode you're watching? I've seen plenty of comments like yours, where people feel the need to mention how much better One Piece is than Naruto, but my other question is why Naruto and not Bleach, which is also part of the Big 3, or any other show? To me, it feels like you guys dislike that Naruto is far more popular and loved than One Piece in Western countries, which is why you feel the need to enforce your opinions on others.

Geno Montez

I swear man. One piece is the only anime that made me SOB 3 times. And none of those moments have happened yet lol

Geno Montez

This arc and the next one really shows Zoro stepping up as first mate

ALTOZE

everyone feels you ron <3

Parmvir Dhugha

I just realized that this is the first time we’ve seen Luffy cry in the anime. He’s always so happy. We’ve seen him get mad and serious as well. But this is the first time we’ve seen him sad and cry. Probably why this hits so deep too. Zoro cried after he lost to Mihawk. Sanji leaving Baratie. Nami at arlong park. Usopp in syrup village. But Luffys first time crying is during this scene. Can’t believe I just realized this.

Kokyloco7

Thats right Ron my brother! thats why One Piece is my #1 above all shounen Naruto, HxH etc. they all have their impactful moments but One Piece bro that shit hit home! the way Oda really tells stories that reflect real life, Especially when it reflects your own life and thats what One Piece does, its a cartoony show about a pirate but damn it when it gets real it gets real and no other shounen hits like this i promise! ENJOY THE JOURNEY THERES MORE TO COME!!!

PumpDaddyD

Damn 3rd time watching It still hits the same... 😭

101mavrik

Think Zoros lines got to Ron. Zoro has the hardest bars when it comes to the crew where even he seems to be the most logical. For more . . . I suggest we move to triple drops 3 times a week 🙋🙋🙋🙋

Buffy

don't hold it in Ron 😭

101mavrik

Probably cause some say Naruto has the best story or story telling, but if you have never seen one piece of course you would 😅

Mamox

so good, great reaction as always guys so glad we are finally getting to some great stuff my only complaint is this translation of a specific line. I dont know what the source of each translation is but the one here I never liked as much. Its the line right after the fight where Luffy grabsd his hat. The original way I saw it Luffy says "its...heavy" instead of "this is really tough..." to then which Zoro responds. I always found "it's....heavy" such a better line. smallnitpick to be sure haha, but a line i always really liked so wanted to point it out

AceReaper02

One piece has some of the most tear inducing arcs. Hope you okay Ron.

Mario Prime Plays

Probably the best directed episodes just from a film standpoint. The animation was top tier. The writing was perfect for both episodes. My favorite 2 episodes in the entire series, just 40 minute s of real cinema. Like this is the reason to watch One Piece from the start all the way up to this point. Great reaction as always too, I felt the exact way Ron felt the first time watching this because I have been where Luffy and Usopp was at one point in my life and you really do question how you end up in those situations.

Cold_Cyber

Thanks for the reaction and Ron I get how you feel hope everything is alright!

Dashaun Nuckles

myb I didn’t word it right i wasn’t trying to say one piece is better even tho i like it more i was just trying to say that one piece story and emotional moments r better, but naruto has other things better than one piece so yeah that’s myf

Abdullah Bakur

I can’t imagine how’d he react when he finally watches that episode that specific episode y’all know which one I’m talking oh wait actually there are several ones lol one piece done gave trauma man I swear 🤣🤣

Jesse Hanssen

She is truly made of ice. How does one not tear up?

Emmanuel Cordial

Ohhh Man, this is a step that defines luffy as a captain. This Arc really give Strawhat Real Life Problem that requires real life solution. This is Peak! P.S. Hat's off to Zoro for being true to the Captain! A true definition of Loyalty may it be good or bad it becomes.

Fedei

Yeah this will always hit no matter how many times I watch it and I hope you guys are alright after these eps and also your AC. It's crazy if you look back at previous eps especially the one where Aokiji was introduced. You can see Ussop really stressed and being more afraid. It could be taken as comedy but for one thing it probably showed Ussop that this is getting serious. With now Robin missing, the money being stolen because he was too weak to protect it and now Merry, which he may see himself as, being put away. I really feel bad for both Ussop and Luffy, they were the closest in having fun and also in age and seeing them fight now is always heartbreaking. Love the reactions as always

Goon

This arc is so GOOD!

Goon

CINEMA

SomeoneElse

The emotions in these episodes are so raw. The way everyone in the crew has a unique reaction to the situation is also really well done. It makes everything feel very real. This arc is emotional 🤣😂😭🔥

OGNero

It was hard to see Ron react like that more when I felt the same way, one piece have this impact in your life that reflects a lot of things. This show plays a big role in my life ❤️

Michael H

The tone of the show flips so fast and hard these episodes.

William Glasgow

this always hits hard. I always end up reliving every fight that ended a brotherhood. it's hard to put into words, but there's always that moment that lives forever in your memory when the line was crossed and everything after is just less

theshittycook

This fight... feels so raw!

Lucas Crismond

Completely understand how Ron could get triggered by this. It's such a real moment and feeling that as a man if you have brothers or close friendships that have ended badly can bring back. That moment of it ending and Luffy crying realizing how hard it is but you can't change what's happened is so sad.

Hector Tavares

When I watched this episode for the first time at 14, I felt more anger towards Usopp than anything else. Now, rewatching it with you guys at 34, it hit differently. I didn’t have enough life experience back then to understand its deeper meaning, and today, my main emotion was sadness. The episode broke me, and seeing its effect on Ron doubled the impact. I’m writing this with a headache from crying and sobbing so much. One Piece really is something else...

Bruno Mendes

Like someone mention naruto got sad stories like the Jiraya, minato etc. But Oda is different writing like nobody else. Even side characters many of them had a well of sad backstory. Sometimes make us laugh. Sometimes make us sad and sometimes make us angry. This is One Piece and we're not even close to the real sadness.

Travis McKinlay

I've never cried to a piece of art, as much as I have to this show... This is just the beginning. Brace your hearts.

JoanneLorac

Ron must have had similar situation before to have such a reaction

Phyllis

This episode hits hard every time I watch it. 😭 The sadness just creeps up on you and boom! I'm glad many of us here understood Usopp's insecurities, feelings and actions, Luffy's difficult decisions as a Captain and his feelings as a friend, and everyone's feelings on the argument and fight. Been waiting for this episode so much and I didn't expect Ron would be hit this hard and speechless but I also get it since I cry every single time. It was at the moment Luffy teared when tears started to well up in Ron's eyes. Like the arc's name, you guys definitely will need those tissue boxes.

pp

Zoro is always by Luffy's side. He is such a dependable companion.

Aaron williams

Usopp got on my nerves so bad during this he was being a brat he doesn’t deserve respect because he has not been of use before this to this extent it would be one thing if he had been formidable like this before but he hasn’t now you want to go hard because you’re fighting a friend?? What about those people that tried to kill us??!? 😒

Karaka

Usopp may be the weakest in the crew but I have to give it to him…his Battle IQ isn’t that far from Luffy & Zoro

Karaka

Facts, I’d say Nami is also up there with Zoro as the most loyal to Luffy but Zoro is definitely the most realistic and level headed when it comes to emotional stuff, which is what Oda showed us in these two episodes

Seth-San

Honestly this was the first time the crew had real conflict within itself, and the raw emotions were realistic and how disagreements can cause real issues. The truth is Luffy is the captain, and there needs to be some sort of respect when he decides on how to lead his crew and usopp although he had a difference in opinion overstepped and disrespected Luffy. Which is why Luffy said it’s too late To talk it out. He had to show usopp who runs this shit even though it hurt him deep Down. Zoro is a real g because he stood by his captain and didn’t run to beg usopp to come back. He made sure Luffy stood on his decision. And that’s why this two episodes were some of the best written pieces of one piece ever.

Karaka

This is one of the best things about One Piece for me, the characters are realistic and it feels like you’re watching the journey of actual real people

Andy Andy

The ship is the only value Usopp has on the ship. If the ship is abandoned by Luffy, Usopp is afraid that one day they will also abandon Usopp.

Aaron williams

This arc is quite the roller coaster and it just started

Aaron williams

Shes not Ivey bruh everyone processes differently. Plus Ron was clearly very moved

Aaron williams

That’s real because if this is how he feels here what then IWTL is gonna be moving

Tara Lamothe

Another fabulous take but of course that wisdom comes w experience so like you mentioned, them being 17 Def plays a part in it and it's written so realistically hence why so many can relate from one point or another in their lives

Aaron williams

It’s not the first time lol they all cried after leaving vivi on the island saying that they missed her and then a few minutes later Ms all Sunday walks out of the cabin luffy cries often actually but sometimes it’s more comedic

Aaron williams

YESS EVERYTHING ELSE WAS LIKE A PRELUDE. This is when one piece shows you what it’s truly made of specifically Oda showed us that this would be quite the odyssey

Tara Lamothe

So genuine, So warranted... Thank You for sharing💕 .. hope the ad gets fixed soon.. it's awful & expensive, hope the horrid ends soon!!

Aaron williams

Yeah you guys should invest in tissues for this arc 🫨

GentleCrank

Like Luffy and Going Merry, Ron has to say goodbye to his old AC

Aaron williams

Keep your condescension to yourself thanks I can feel how I want in the moment.

Adrien AURY

Don’t worry there is also tears of joy in One Piece

Aaron williams

And who are you to tell me how to feel? I’m caught up in the serious but I’m existing currently I enjoy usopp a lot actually but at this point he got on my nerves I can feel how I want take a seat somewhere and leave me be

cincin

L take. She has teared up more than Ron in other episodes. Not everyone processes every situation the same way. 🙄 Get off their back.

Kenneth Mayer

I didn’t get into anime till later in life, when I first saw this, it broke me. This show really knows how to resonate with and stir up some deep seated emotions. I get it man.

Whoopsie

Basically watching your friends/family fighting. A lot of us have been their and its super rough.

beckett9898

Ron bra, 🥺. This show pushes you and makes you feel it. So much respect for u showing that. Only brothers/fathers/sons know those fights The show writing is amazing and still is

ao kaze

No one said they have to d*e for the crew to loose a Nakama 😭 Bye bye usopp

Carter San

I won't say I've been through the same situation because I don't fully know yours, but I get it Ron. Proud of what you've become from it.

Patrone07

Its ok Ron that's what happens when you mix real life memories with anime, shit can catch you unguarded like a couple shots to the Gut

Patrone07

Gg you actually made me laugh I kinda wished you clipped Ron getting emotional and this statement right next to it that would be a classic meme

pp

At this point, with all spoilers gone, we can finally watch the opening. Each opening evokes emotions that can only be felt while the arc is ongoing!

Arz.09

I keep saying this the whole experience with anime openings is whenever you hear it play you think of the arc. These guys miss that experience by skipping high key

Arz.09

Ts always hit hard man

RorotheShadow

I'm so glad you guys understood the complexity of this whole situation! 🙏🏻🙏🏻When I watched One Piece for the first time, I read so many comments that were just toxic and hateful towards Usopp. They said he was a damn traitor and that they were glad he left the crew because he was just ungrateful and useless. They were just idiots who didn't understood anything! 🤦🏻‍♀🤦🏻‍♀ Usopp is just one of the most realistic characters in all of One Piece and I love him because of that! Usopp has thoughts and opinions about himself that we've all had at some point in our lives. And just the fact that he said he'd been thinking about leaving the crew for a while so he wouldn't get in the way of the others, especially Luffy, and cause them problems. That statement alone proves that his friends, especially Luffy's dream of becoming the King of the Pirates, are important to him because he's willing to break up with them so he won't get in their way anymore. But of course Luffy doesn't care if Usopp is strong or weak, he only cares about Usopp as a person, as a friend, but unfortunately Usopp has an too negative image of himself at this time, so he's not able to see that. And that's completely understandable and realistic! We've all been in a situation like that before... This scene really makes me cry every time, because I know how terrible and painful it is to fight with your friends, who you actually love... 💔💔 💔

tris273

I cried so hard watching these episodes. It's so authentic and realistic how the show/manga uses the wording of a conflict. That was the first time i got really heartbroken in One Piece and for me one of the best OP moments of all for some reason. I can just relate so much.. And One Piece always got me out of all seriousness bc of all the goofyness it contains nearly every episode. But this broke my perspective on One Piece. Oda is such an insane writer for building all of that up. Even in this reaction my breath kind of stopped the whole time while watching these episode, my head turned red and i couldn't talk to my friend bc i knew my voice will be broken and i'll fall into a big hole of sorrow and crying again. 10/10 Masterpiece Episodes.

aidan decristofaro

also the way ron ended the reaction was so fucking real. I was face deep in my pillow ballin my eyes out first time watching this

pp

Exactly! When I think of 'Water 7,' this opening is the first thing that comes to mind. Even though I was young, I still can't forget the emotions I felt when I first saw each opening. I know spoilers are important to them, so now that there are no spoilers, I want to share these openings with them.

Ananth Varma

Hugs Ron, I can somewhat relate I think, from past relationships or even friendships. and every time I tell myself the words that really changed me. from Haikyuu, Hinata says to Kindaichi when he asks if Kageyama is doing okay "not being able to back down and fight is normal for friends" sometimes the emotions need to com out and erupt and they become someone we used to know but if the bond is truly real then after erupting and facing each other, you come back with the bond stronger than ever. those are the real lifelong bonds to cherish every single day. much love to you both ❤️

Mahti

One Piece has made me cry more than I care to admit. There is no other show with so many emotionally impactful moments

Spicxgg

Unless you’ve been in this situation irl you cannot understand the weight of the pressure. It’s a lot because you have to do what’s right but you also love what you have to let go. One Piece is peak storytelling

RorotheShadow

And I also would like to say how much I appreciate and love Zoro in these episodes! ❤🙏🏻❤🙏🏻 He proves once again why he is the Vice Captain and why he is so important to the crew, and especially for Luffy. Luffy would definitely be completely crushed without Zoro's support and strong words... Zoro is always there to catch Luffy and the other Straw Hats when they don't know what to do. In these situations you can always see the sense of duty that Zoro has as a Vice Captain and how much he respects Luffy and his decisions. He is just the big brother and the shield of the Straw Hats! 💚💚💚 Man, I just love this cute moss head with all my heart! 💚💚💚

Immortal Art

one of the best one piece episodes ever .. great reaction as always .. it hurts more if you have been in the same situation as luffy

Nicholas Kent

Guilt, inferiority complex, immaturity and a complex bond with the Merry. This is what led Usopp to confront Luffy. On top of that, Luffy also lacks maturity as a captain. He sees that his crew is going through a difficult time so he tries to position himself to keep control of events. Even if it can be perceived badly. Let's not forget that Luffy and Usopp are the youngest members of the crew (apart from Chopper). They're only 17 years old! So we witnessed the fight between two young brothers in a way.

Minori D. Hunter

just started watching the upload, they look so happy

Emil

I feel you bro

Chris619

Usopp got that One Piece 👊🏽

Parmvir Dhugha

Oh yeah when they missed her. lol I forgot about that but yeah that’s different since it was like for comedic reasons.

A

Peak piece

Jannis Hornberg

And the story keeps getting better and better

JP Bandoy

Aside from Mr.2 (Bon-chans) sacrifice by helping the crew to escape in Alabasta, and Luffys flashback. This was basically the first time we saw Luffy crying seriously. It hit so heavily seeing such a positive force cry and emotionally hurt. We feel you Ron. ❤️

Yaz

It’s easy to get annoyed at Usopp for taking Luffy on seriously but if the duel was close range, Luffy wouldn’t have held back at the start either. They both have too much pride, the irony is that Usopp feels too worthless at the moment to see his own strength when it comes to long range attacks. These episodes are important, they show the crew doesn’t just have a blind devotion to Luffy, they respect him. Usopp took him seriously in a duel, Sanji kicked out when he seen Luffy was about to say something he’d regret, Zoro let his captain take the hits he needed to, even Chopper and Nami put their own feelings aside to let Luffy captain.

Miguel Nobre

thats not fair because Naruto fans do the same thing, you cant even call both of them fans, real fans just enjoy their favourite anime without talking shit or compare it to other shows

Spicxgg

His selfishness is understandable. It’s a symbol of his friendship with Kaya his childhood friend.

Zerato

We all felt the same way Ron!

Gjermund Norum Bugge

Usopp is selfish here, but it is completely understandable. This scene is so incredible... I also do not think he chose emotion over fact. The Going Merry is an actual part of the crew. A dear Nakama. He is about to lose the ship, off course it is a really hard situation, they all feel the same about Merry, but the ship obviously is even more special to Usopp. He has been tending to the ship the entire Journey.

Ron Jackson Jr

Makes me wonder what Ron’s childhood was like. We need to get some backstory of that for sure

Leo Rover

That era of One Piece when Usopp was still part of the crew was something else man... I miss it

Dashaun Nuckles

how am i not a real fan just by comparing the two people do that all the time, ur just calling ron and michelle fake fans

Saith Uchiha

As a HVAC tech trust me you need to be there for 30mins max. We truthfully love working without the home owner. Be blunt and honest idk the repairs you need but ask politely if you need to be there for everything. They’ll say no but we will need you ASAP when we finish.

kidCash3

Not following captain orders and blatant disrespect I don’t blame Luffy at all

Uchiha Itachi

yeah i know Ron it hurts...A lot...

kidCash3

You guys have to understand besides the friendship aspect theirs still order of authority on a pirate ship or their will be chaos Luffy no matter how dumb or if you disagree is captain and once he makes a hard decision that’s it..

Liana P

Man..... even the Merry crying. It all feels so much more real.

Liana P

Did you think nothing can make you cry? Well One Piece can. That's my case anyways.

Liana P

Zoro is the only one understanding the whole situation and being the rock of the crew. That's one of the reasons he always has been in my top 3 OP characters.

Liana P

That is why I get why Ron felt that way in the end.

Saith Uchiha

Michelle I’m at 35:23 are those muscles or is your arm just press down against your body? Because I’ve worked out for 2 years mostly my arms and my biceps are not as toned as that.

Parmvir Dhugha

Zoro would never. He is a tough guy but no doubt he loves his crew mates. Even when Sanji hit Luffy, Zoro didn’t care. This crew is more like a family. That’s why this episode hurt so much.

Liana P

just thinking about all those moments makes me wanna cry

As someone who had a very traumatic childhood I’d ask you and everyone to mind your own business. I’m not trying to start anything I’m just saying to bring stuff like that hurts a lot. My father tried to off me and my mom before I was 10 that should be enough to not need a back story. It’s not a story it’s trauma.

Parmvir Dhugha

That’s if Luffy asked. And Luffy would never. Zoro would never get in between their duel even if Luffy was near death. A duel is between 2 individuals and Zoro respects that. Just like when they left Luffy and Aokiji alone after Luffy challenged him to a duel. There isn’t any interfering.

Usopp just lost badly to Franky and co. He was "responsible" for the money and he couldn't even do that... which led to his insecurity add him being weaker than the monster trio, feeling like he has nothing to contribute. Then being told they're going to get a new ship because the merry can't go on anymore... it was the last straw for him. To him it felt like being told that the merry is replaceable and if the ship is replaceable in his mind he was also replaceable and before they could replace him he made the decision himself That's just how I saw the scene... which is kinda sad. To me each and every straw hat is irreplaceable every one has something they can contribute to the crew. But he just couldn't see it in that way in his current mindset...

Parmvir Dhugha

If you’re asking me then no I don’t think he was ever close. Usopp did damage for sure, more than expected from him. But Luffy was always winning.

Antonio Ricardo

Had to have been personal to Ron in some way. I almost lost my bestfriend cuz of a fight and can't imagine if it actually happened and then seeing this years later. That's how i would feel

Pizza_Mozzarella

Oh the good times with a full crew 🫡 even if Usopp wasn’t a fighter, he was the one taking care of Merry during their journey, and he had an even more special bond with Merry as she was a gift from Kaya, Usopp’s booboo. Which is why Usopp was the only one holding in to Merry until the end

koza

USOPP SAN 😓

koza

Ron are you okay? something must’ve hit you in the end :((

Yaz

Oda has never said that, the rumour was traced back to an old Reddit post. It’s more canonical to say Zoro would never kill his friends after losing Kuina. What’s more we know Luffy would never kill nor want to kill anyone, Oda confirmed in SBS 30.

Relaric

What a wild take. Usopp did not almost defeat Luffy and Zoro wasn't "itching to kill" anyone.

Focus Fresh

Zoro is my vice-captain 💪 real stud

Tom Selmer

Usopp is a big L this arc

Coleone Sengsakda

Firewolf

Love this arc so much, one of my favorites!

jiwon330

I can't wait for the incident in Sabaody reaction

Rui Duarte

They should make Usopp fight like this more times, 99% of the time he is crying and fooling around xD

Lemmiwnks

I’m shocked y’all 236 episodes in already. It feels like y’all started not too long ago

Jonhy0700

Dudeee, this brings back memories from the first time I watched this.... Thanks for letting me relive those memories.

Meteor

Hits too close to home based on what he said earlier.

IJALS

I remembered watching this episode for the first time. I dreamed of Usopp and Luffy and I was crying in my dreams too. Damn!

Jordan

And the arc is only getting started.. my absolute favorite scene is in this arc, and it’s a real tear jerker

BashaM

The irony, uh? Usopp’s best fight, where he shows he is not weak, is against Luffy, one of the only people who has never thought of him as weak.

Epidemic

That escalated quickly ahh episodes

Liana P

it's been about a year. I've been with sushi squad since they started one piece

Light

We’re not even close there why bring that up

Bernie 999

Not everything has to recorded, if he felt like he needed a break its totally fine, let out those emotions Ron. This is how we heal 🖤 no judgment and keep being yourselves, love the videos

BTTR call MIKE

I had to stop the vid a couple times bc of how uncomfortable usopp was being. I dislike how usopp was (understandably) selfish but he didn’t have to put that unnecessary burden on luffy when everyone else knew that the merry was on her last breath. Usopp killed their friendship signal handedly and brought down the crew morale with him. Glad zoro is the only one not being completely manipulated by his emotions. Truly sad ep tho more so bc of how luffy feels.

ListenHome李勝宏

I cried like crazy when I see Ron at the end. Damnnnnn......

BvldoDLaw

I think it's easy to resonate with Ron when watching these kind of shows and the powerful messages behind them because of the understanding one can have. Express and control. Love y'all.

Area0

I live in South Carolina and our power been out 3 days now because of the hurricane Helene been charging my phone in the car😅

keniskandar

I’m crying with you all 😭

Awkwardly Being me

Lmao I cried and rewatched this episode with my friends a bunch of times 😭 love one piece

Awkwardly Being me

This is my all time favorite arc. I rewatch and reread a certain scene a bunch of times! Thanks for the great reaction!

Jumpy Bumpy

I love the raw emotions that i see come out of y’all’s reactions. One of my favorite episodes in one piece for how real it is and One piece does a great job of reigniting past emotions. Hopefully you work through whatever it is that brought those emotions up. Love you guys! ❤️

Misael Matute

I mean the comments did tell you to have your handkerchiefs ready lol

Misael Matute

When you think about the fact that some of Luffy's attacks knocked out fisherman and warlords, it's crazy that Ussop was even able to survive that hit... .

Misael Matute

It's awesome when you think about the whole "I get to be the captain" was just a gag... and yet here we are. Ussop fighting the capt for the ship...

Guy Buddy

Personally, I think Usopp's anger isn't really directed at Luffy, but at himself. He's been silently doubting his place and abilities within the crew for a while, and now he's reached his breaking point. He still can’t face the fears he's been avoiding... fears about himself and Merry. The only way he knows how to cope is through a duel, like his favorite Elbaf warriors, hoping to prove—if there is any chance—that he's not as useless as he feels, by protecting the nakama he loves the most.

Ynfeli

I can never watch these episodes without crying like a baby, all the journeys , the bonds, the memories made up until this point seemingly just dissipates to nothingness. I feel for Luffy & Usuopp and all there tuff decisions that they had to make but that’s just a part of being man of your word, values, & standards & not buckling or changing for no one… not even your closest friends and family.🙁💔

ShaquanVirse

Peak storytelling this arc, can't wait for tonight's episodes

Parmvir Dhugha

I’ve rewatched this reaction a couple times now. Eager for tonight’s episodes and thoughts on these episodes in the intro.

Jesse Hanssen

as everyone should be. It is an objectively sad scene that anyone should be sad about, whether they relate to it or not.

Mistah Gaga

Ron is Such a REAL Man for this!!! I always have respect for Him 🤝🏿 As Men we have to become more comfortable showing emotions and healthily letting them out 🙏🏿

Cathy

I LOVE THIS ARC SO MUCH!!!!! 😭😭😭

Strawhat Gabo

Yeah idc what anyone says usuopp was a bitch this arc annoyed the shit out of me

Strawhat Gabo

Like you try this hard to beat the crap out of luffy while he couldn’t do shit to the franky guys

PaT_-

THIS ARC GONNA DESTROY THEM @@@@

Hamza

You think he couldn't beat the franky family due to lack of trying? He did well against luffy cause 1. He knows him a lot more 2. 1v1 3. He had a lot of time to prepare, which makes a huge difference for someone like him. If you think he was a bitch you're just failing to see things from his perspective

Silvana

Same Ron, same...

Braden S

ron; my brother and I got into a physical altercation a few years ago and i still cry every time I think about it man, the empathy is real with you brother. You are a truly good person and it shines through in a lot of reactions

Novel Hossain

Ussops such a little girl bro 😂 mad dramatic for no reason

Lil yeeter

its deeper than the ship bro its all an analogy of how he feels where his place is in the crew ussop masks his true feelings all the time and then uses up an excuse to act the way he does obviously hes going about this the wrong way but thats just how his character has been up till this point
