273 really showcasing again what a fighting genius Luffy is. Learning Shave and doing it better than Blueno after seeing it once as well as coming up with Gear 2nd. Then his "Robin, I've come to get you" at the end 🔥 That's our GOAT. The ending to 274 is also so iconic. Ngl, the comments saying you're hating One Piece were wildin 😂

dont let luffys goofy nature fool you, he is basically a fighting genius like goku and besides his powers the reason he is so dangerous to fight is because he adapts to whatever his opponent does and figures out their weakness. The only villain you guys have seen thats lasted longest against luffy so far was crocodile, and he lasted 3 rounds with luffy figuring out his weakness in the very first round they fought

of course. there are many instances when people choose to dislike or put off a anime due to the fandom which is why i said that’s the only way they’d ever feel any different about it. obviously they’re mature enough to put that aside.

also if you didnt know, oda is huge fan of dbz thats why he has some dbz elements in one piece like introducing power levels in this arc. As for why he scrapped it afterwards, I dont think the numbers would make sense in the later arcs and you'll see why

Basically without spoiling anything Ron gear 2 is something luffy comes up with it is his thing. Different users with their own fruits discover their own ways to push their bodies and powers to max like Crocodile and draining moisture with his sand, Ace powering his little ship, Chopper discovering new transformations etc. Their power curve is determined by their imagination and training even if some powers sound broken by default. Edit: to give clarity in case it sounded like a spoiler: Chopper since you met him had more transformations than your regular zoan user because of the rumble ball he concocted

Oda just did that so you see the difference in powers of the CP9 from other people and even within CP9 itself. Bruno was above 800, and Luffy beat him pretty easily, no sweat given. Lucci was the strongest, almost by two times stronger than Kaku, the second strongest of CP9. And Lucci's power was above 4000. And by showing that Luffy needs to take him out as their leader, aka the Boss , he needs to reach that high as well. And an usual soldier's power is just 10. So yeah imagine the diffrence. Oda wanted to show how crazy powerful the CP9 is and what Luffy and the others have to deal against in order to get Robin back

I believe this was said last episode, Luffy mentioned that losing to Aokiji(where the Straw Hats got ROLLED) made him realize how weak he was, and that he needed a way to get stronger to protect his crew mates. That's when he started thinking up Gear 2. Or the "gear(s)" 👀 So yeah he has been practicing this, just not on-screen. This is the first time he's used it against opponents.

Luffy's always coming out with new moves. Even before he first set out as a pirate, he had already thought up and practiced a whole arsenal of moves on his island. Don't be surprised to see him randomly use new ones. That's basically his biggest strength as a fighter, the creativity and versatility with which he uses his Devil Fruit. And Oda tries to make it as clear as possible throughout the show.

I wanted to remind you, in alabasta, Robin wanted to die in that underground temple. Luffy saved her even though she begged to die. And when she joined she told Luffy she’s joining because he forced her to live. So it might seem like it’s weird that she says she wants to die, but oda has mentioned this side to her before.

The quad drop could have been a triple drop, and I assume this is the only reason that people expected a triple drop before that so that the schedule would line up for it. If you did 3+1 it wouldn't work as you said and a 2+2 would be cutting the intended triple drop in half. Edit: and I just want to say I watched everything until now and you guys improved so much. You had some confusing moments in the past as you pointed out (and had to bring people to give you summary points etc) but you've been in the zone for a long time. Regardless of that I wouldn't be here now if I wasn't enjoying the ride all the way.

Bountys is not specificaly about power levels,its about how dangerous you are to the WG,look at Robin for example,she had 80 million bounty since she was a lil kid,because of the things she knows

I know man. We didn't have the luxury of double triple quad drops to what many of you guys have now. We could only wait every week for this awesome moments. We didn't even have illegal and legal anime sites to watch back then. We had to find and watch them on different platforms like YT or download from torrent etc and in it's not the whole episode too since it is uploaded in parts sometimes. Then bunch of illegal anime sites came out and now we have legal anime sites. Times are so much better now and so much more convenient. We need to appreciate this anime community we have man.

My partner used to say 'Coup de Boo' every time before farting after watching Franky doing it ... I cannot lie ... It challenged the relationship 😂 Chills when Luffy tells Robin she can die if she wants to, but to do it while being by their side, not in enemy's hands. He doesn't force you to feel differently, or tells you that what you are feeling is wrong.
