Michelle, people can interpret things different ly but when Suzaku talked about going back to the base, instead of the drug Lelouch interpreted it like Suzaku feels like that is where he belongs, instead of the Japanese resistance. Lelouch has been trying to convince Suzaku to join, but now he feels like “oh shit maybe Suzaku really doesn’t wanna join us”

Suzaku talking about going back to the base simply meant he treated the base as home, in a sense Lelouch is disappointed that his friend has fully aligned to be with Brittania so much that he calls it home.

Lelouch meant Suzaku doesn't think he belongs at the school even though Lelouch his closest childhood friend and his new Brittanian friends are there with him. Instead, in Suzaku's mind he is a honorary Brittanian soldier who works and fights for Brittania(to protect people) so going back to the base is where he feels he belongs.
