Man ppl always hating on me for being lazy…I didn’t even do anything!!! Nah seriously tho, haven’t seen the vid yet so pretty keen to see what advice and struggles we share, would you all consider being comfortable a part of being lazy? The job is easy and it pays decent but I know there’s more out there career wise. I guess im being lazy because I could chase what’s out there but because I’m comfortable where I am it’s kinda like ehhhh. I guess being thankful I even have a good job should be a start.

Haven't watched the vid yet but ill share my experience, I got out of the military beginning of 2022 and moved in with some gaming buddies from childhood, real brotherhood bonds. We actually work together now and its not a bad job but its a field unrelated to the experience I built up in the military (I did IT), pays well but they're very adamant that I'm wasting my talents and should pursue higher professions but for me personally money is not a motivating factor, I make enough money to pay all my bills and live comfortably all while working at the same place as my brothers, and for me that's more than enough. I think it is ok to be content with where your at and build from there at your own pace, you don't need to always strive for something greater in life and its easy to confuse that with laziness. Edit: Watched the vid now :D I highly recommend the calendar idea you had, especially since you share a schedule so closely with your SO it will be so relieving to be able to look at a calendar on your phone or pc whenever and know what your MUST DO responsibilities are for the day/upcoming week etc. And even more so to see the days you DONT have something to do and can dedicate a day to rest and recover without being paranoid you forgot something, I do the same thing and make a point to leave 1 day a week without anything planned so I can put on PJ's and chill/rest for the day.

Havent watched the vid yet but from what you said here’s what I think: If you are satisfied with your salary and have something you like to do outside of work then it’s fine. Work gets you money, we dont all have to do jobs we love. If it pays well and isnt something that ruins your health, its fine getting money from a job you dont love but enjoying outside of work spending that money chilling. As long as you have time (and money) to enjoy life outside of work its fine if that job isnt a dream job. We cant all do jobs we love, what matters is that you can still enjoy something when you get off work (your buddies, gaming, sport, painting, whatever)

Despite what anyone may say, I like what you're doing Ron. Mental health is important, and even your theories when reacting to shows that may appear off topic to some people, I was never annoyed by it. It's always interesting

27(M) here. I think Panda4life had a good point. With the big social media boom it's easy to see all of these people living a lavish life, and it's easy to think that you need to attain more (financially) at the sacrifice of your happiness and mental health. While this can be a motivating factor for a lot of people and bring them happiness, it doesn't always have to be that way for you. It's all subjective for everyone individually. If you're in a position doing something you enjoy and you have enough to live comfortably with a roof over your head, don't stress too much about money. For me personally, I value happiness and mental health over monetary value. I make a decent above average wage, but by no means can spend money without thinking. But I'm happy and that's what matters to me. The key is to find your niche, a hobby or something that you're passionate about, and stick to it. Become an expert, work hard, and never give up on it, and I'm sure money will follow. Just my 2 cents!
