I swear I got goosebumps from the first season opening such a good anime. But am I the only one that doesn’t like watching the openings and endings and stuff. Because to be honest you guys already saw a lot of things you shouldn’t have supposed to see. What I learned from anime is definitely avoiding videos or anything from future episodes. The epic scenes, transformations, powerups. Or whatever hit way way harder when u don’t know what it looks like upfront. Or don’t know it will even happen at all. But in the openings and stuff they usually show all of that already which I don’t like. And this one things got me way more hyped about anime just wanted to share that with you all. try it and u will see for yourself. Love the videos first Patreon I ever subscribed on I usually don’t pay for this stuff but you guys give off amazing vibes so I just got the whole subscription love man!!❤️❤️

Bruhh I get what you are saying but what you are talking about is some of the second season and the third one. The first season and most of the second season are one of the best anime ever made bro only watching the first season alone is on par with everything they are watching right now it defeats MHA seasons 1-5 and some parts of AOT don’t discourage them on what not to react to that negative in every anime there is something good maybe it’s not your cup of thee but they will find it amazing then u just robbed them of their watching pleasure just by one comment

it's hard to say. like if it started out bad and got good then its fine but when I watch something with a great start and and terrible end it just feels so bad. Like I really liked Promised Neverland but after S2 I wouldn't really recommend it because of how disappointing it ends.

I don’t agree. They screw the ending of season 1 and the rest of the show is unintelligible trash. Characters switch sides with no explanation. They skip all kinds of important backstory. And I’m not the only one that thinks it’s not worth the time. And you are delusional if you say any part of Tokyo ghoul is the best anime ever made come on that’s just nonsense

I think this is a beautiful show in the first season and I highly recommend watching the first season and you can watch part of the second but it is one of those shows that in my opinion gets progressively worse every season

I know people have said it before but while the op is great for this show, the anime itself really isn’t all that special, I know people say the first season is *amazing* but I think it’s decent at best, and it drops down rapidly for each season, after the first season it doesn’t even follow the manga anymore, while some anime can pull off original stuff, this one isn’t one of them, I understand if you want to watch it anyways I just think there are more anime that are worth watching before this one

Yeah but it’s not just about what they would enjoy it’s also about what we want to see them react to. On Patreon we are paying for this content so we should have a say. They can watch on their own time if they are that interested in seeing it. They should spend their reaction time watching the stuff we want to see reactions to.

Tokyo Ghoul OP is awesome but I do not recommend watching the anime. I loved Season 1. Season 1 was great until Season 2, 3 and 4 came out. The anime totally skewed from the story of the manga and messed up the flow.

As many have commented i would not recommend tokyo ghoul at least not the show. Its a shame how they treated the source material (manga) which is in my opinion, one of the best out there. It might be fun to react to the show, but i would rather recommend reading it. And btw the artist of the 1st and 4th opening is TK from ling tosite shigure he has two other openings under his belt, one from PsychoPass and one from 91Days (dream recommendation) and even a song for a spiderman movie.

I’ve read the manga and watched the show and they skip significant details and DO NOT explain character motivations for their actions and skip very important backstory. They basically cut and the rush the story. This is a widely held opinion by a lot of people that read the manga and watched the show.

Lots of comments about quality of the show after season 1 and 2. The show takes an alternative route to the manga. And lots of fans did not enjoy it unfortunately. Definitely the type of show Ron would like though. Has that right vibe.

Personally I really enjoyed the Tokyo Ghoul series but the thing is I watched this when I first started watching anime (like yall) and at that stage I found every anime I watched really enjoyable even though most said it was horrible or bad so I personally would enjoy yalls reactions but then again its yalls choice and and seeing the comments it sucks but many seem to not want yall to react to it lmao.

I see a lot of comments hating on Tokyo ghoul and ppl saying like, we as an audience should decide what they watch. I kinda feel that’s wrong. They should honestly react to the shows that they are interested in. If they react to a show that they’re not really into it becomes boring for them. And that probably leads to them not finding reacting fun. And imo, if you don’t like a show they’re reacting to you don’t have to watch it. No one’s forcing you. And the argument about us Patreons paying for special content, we already get uncut versions of all shows. I HIGHLY recommend seeing TK's live version of Unravel. That song hits my soul in a special way (as well as the whole anime). And he does that screaming stuff in Unravel too, just isn't in the OP size. His vocals are amazing. And you should look up the lyrics as well because they do add a depth to the music as well. But this is one of those that you can just feel the emotion without knowing the lyrics. It's a special one for me!

Now you are having two different conversations here. you are comparing the manga to the anime and basing the choice to watch the show on how similar the story’s are. Of course the manga is better but you are neglecting the shows story as a whole, only because the show is not as it is in the manga or as it could be. But that does not that the show is bad the manga is just better. You are influencing your opinion on the show based on the story in the manga. I was not insulting your intelligence but is you’re saying that you don’t understand the reason why certain things happened for example him switching sides and I do understand the reason just like other people then it must be something from your end. But telling them not to watch the show just because the manga is better is not a valid reason I just find that to be ridiculous I would love for them to react to the show even if it would only be the first 2 seasons

While I think this is a good concept, I don't think its a good idea to be doing this. Reacting to openings is the quickest way to get a show spoiled. I know yall might say by the time yall watch the show yall wont remember anything, but you guys are analyzing the openings and that will also influence the crazy overthinking theories yall (ginger lol) have. I would much rather prefer you guys watch a trailer for an anime for you guys to decide or let us vote like we did for the OP. I mean this in the nicest way possible so I hope it doesn't get taken the wrong way. I will always support you guys anyway!

I don’t think I’m a fan of the using openings to determine shows you react to. It’s not always a good gauge to use for anime. I thinking suggestions and polls are a better way of figuring it out.

the problem with this series is how the anime adapted it. it’s literally perfect dare I say better than anything you guys have already watched on here but where it falls short is the fact that it was adapted by a lazy anime studio that doesn’t even tel the story or cuts entire bits out. I would say watch it because it’s still a very good series regardless but if you reach towards the end it just ends up becoming confusing because nothing makes sense

I personally do not recommend choosing shows based on OP/ED for numerous reasons. 1st: The OP/ED in a lot of cases doesn't represent what the show actually is. 2nd: You gonna get spoiled a lot and that affects the reactions. 3rd: Better OP/ED /= better show. Hope you guys reconsider.

The problem is reacting to OP is a really bad method of choosing shows because the OP is not a good representation of what the show actually is and they gonna get spoiled a lot. You guys would love Tokyo Ghoul. The first opening is really the only banger though. Tokyo Ghoul was the first anime that got me into cosplay -- it's very dark, gritty, full of gore/blood, includes unique powers, and some of the best pay offs in anime. I wasn't a huge fan of the direction of the show took come season 3, but I think season 1 and 2 is MUST watch anime for fans. Also, Ron you're correct in your sense that JJK and Chainsaw Man are similar comparisons, though TG came before them.

Code Geass “Worlds End”! Op 4 i think? Is my all time fav anime intro song… I feel Code geass would be an awesome anime for them to react to as well. The story is great and the main character is probably my favorite anime character of all time. I personally thought it had the perfect ending although season 2 wasn’t as good as season 1 IMO. the main male and female characters are still being voted most popular anime characters so many years after the the anime ended.

Since most of the comments are opinionated, I’l state just the facts: 1- whether Tokyo ghoul is a good show or not, it will be good for the channel because there’s a lot of demand for the show’s reaction. 2- the openings/endings of a show does not reflect how good a show is 3- most anime openings/endings have a lot of spoilers (especially the openings of the 2nd season will spoil most of the 1st season) 4- The 2nd season of Tokyo ghoul deviated from the storyline of the original source (manga) 5- The 3rd season of Tokyo Ghoul followed the source but it rushed through at least 2 to 3 seasons of content in 1 season.

Season 1 of TG is objectively one of the best in anime but season 2 and on is pretty divided on the fact it doesn’t follow the manga and deviates or jumps around on important events unless you’ve read the manga then watched the anime you can piece together what’s going. I would say give it a try and if you like it, go ahead with it.

This is not the case at all. This would only apply if the only issue was that it didn't follow the manga. It isn't. The show cuts out massive chunks of information, character development, world building, motives, backstory, etc. To dismiss all criticisms as "they're just comparing it to the manga" is disingenuous and untrue.

I watched it without reading the manga first, i loved it ? Reading the manga afterwards was just a cherry on top. Don’t force your opinion on other ppl. You didn’t like it and that’s fine but trying to make it look bad so they don’t watch it is a douche thing to do. Let them decide if they like it or not. State your opinion and leave it at that but arguing about other ppl‘s opinions is just a dick thing to do.
