Most probably Illumi’s needle was a consensus within the family in order to protect Killua by not taking risks and always keeping it safe. Also, I’m impressed as to how you can keep yourself from binging this part of the arc. I know because of schedule and all… but still! 😩😂

Btw Togashi made the whole timeline/time schedule for his story on notebook, who's doing what on what time. He did it for this arc too, I saw his notebook spread out and it was insane.

The issue is that it’s not “fine” for Shoot and Knuckle to run away. It puts everyone at risk. Their job (along with everyone else’s) is to keep the royal guard busy and away from the king at all costs while Netero fights him without worrying about the Royal guard intervening. Leaving Youpi to roam and unaccounted for puts everyone in danger.
