TL;WR: I've done 16 animations, 6,291 renders, and written over 3,000 words this week. The update right now has +14,000 words and 16,939 renders (16,073 of which in 42 animations). Shit! More than one render per word!

Today I'm a day early on the progress report because I bring sad news. I've heard of a developer who has become so obsessed with his updates that he's gone a little crazy.

That developer, from what I've heard, promised 10,000 words and 300 renders per update when he started, and in his last update, he did +27,000 words and almost 14,000 renders.

Well, his craze to deliver the best possible product has gone from bad to worse. He has become so obsessed with making the best scenes he can that, with some scenes yet to be written, he is already at +16,900 renders done (+17,000 tagged).

Also, since it takes more work than he initially planned, this last week he took two days off work to give the update a boost. Result of the week? 16 animations, almost 6,300 renders, and more than 3,000 words written. Finished the first eight scenes and the animations of the ninth. Translated the first seven scenes and sent them to the proofreaders.

Yes, even though he's gone crazy, he's still working like... a crazy person.

Talking in the third person about yourself and dissociating personalities is a sign of insanity, isn't it? I have to make an appointment with the psychiatrist one of these days.

Since I'm out of free days (the ones I've spent this week were from last year), progress in the next week is going to be somewhat less spectacular. The good part is that the end of this update is near, with story progress scenes to be written (once I finish the ninth scene, which is lewd). They should be faster to write and render. My idea of publishing by the end of the month or early February still stands, and I think I'll be able to stick to it.

TL;DR: I've done 16 animations, 6,291 renders, and written over 3,000 words this week. The update right now has +14,000 words and 16,939 renders (16,073 of which in 42 animations). Shit! More than one render per word!

Keep up the hard work! I appreciate your dedication but don't burn yourself out bud!

I hope you will not overdo it to where you get sick. On the other side you can talk to Daphne or Scarlett also. I sure they have some medical knowledge to help you also. I know it is not their primary medical study, but who knows.

Egoisticamente no me voy a quejar, pero no te exijas tanto que te vas a quemar y podemos esperar algunos dias mas ... pero no muchos jajaja

I always look at TL | DR at the end of a post and think "You bastard ..."

Tropecita Games

Tranquilo, haciendo lo que adoras es difícil quemarse. Si no me he quemado en tres años no voy a hacerlo ahora.

Tropecita Games

Don't worry. Doing what you love is almost impossible to burn out. Too many stories to tell to get burned 😊

Ivan Escuder

Bueno, por si acaso. Que esta la historia muy interesante y me dejas con ganas de mas jajaja

Sounds like an epidemic!! How long do you think it will take for either it infects ALL AVN Developers? OR. They come up with a Vacine to prevent overworked developers being caused by this condition?

LeonDWfromNM#2023

Oh! Wait!!!! How close do you have to get to this obsessed fellow to catch his condition? Is it Airborne? In the Water? Something he ate? Someone who ate him? Someone HE ate? How does it spred? Sorry... Could not help myself. ;<P

I was just being silly, but yes, that is how I view "the point" of TL|DR ... to give the reader foreknowledge of what's to come and a choice to continue or not. It's also perfectly acceptable to put it at the end, since the actual phrase IS "Too Long, Didn't Read" ... but I still think it's a dig at the reader to do so (intentional or otherwise) ;-)
