Like you were talking about in the pre-discussion. The setup up and with it the slow burn is really key to the show. It's what sets it apart from normal "case of the week" procedurals where everything is hurried through and then everyone has moved on in the next episode. A slow burn like the Wire is a lot more realistic in that sense.

On joe's question on who killed all the girls, the way I understood the converstation with the greek, vondas, and the turkish guy from the boat was this... The turkish guy said someone killed the girl who didnt want to be a prostitute and he killed all the girls because they saw. Its open for interpretation I guess but the greek says something like "you killed one then you killed them all" and the turk replies "no, that was another man". greek says " what man" turk replies "the one girl they saw they knew I didnt know what to do". So Kevin is right, the guy ultimately responsible for the 13 dead girls in the container is already dead.

every episode after this is just better and better, I can't wait for your reactions, my favorite part of The Wire is also when it fades to black at the end with that melancholy music playing, this has to be like the 6th time I am experiencing it and it really is a 10/10 show
