Is This Bottomless Pit A friend Of Yours? (Patreon)

Next up this month was Pocahontas' loveable pal Meeko as the next character to add to our collection. Considering he's one of the more complex characters he was a pretty straightforward model to sculpt, I really enjoyed making his little arms and tiny hands, and to my surprise the head dress actually turned out to be super easy! it also included a little bit of practice for one of our Halloween models we've got coming out next month, no spoilers.

To paint Meeko I used Valejo Silver with gunmetal gray patterns. For his head dress I used Polished Gold and Arteza Strawberry Red with Golden Hour and Space Gray for his feathers and details.

I think the model came out beautifully and I'm really happy to add him to the collection because he's easily one of my favourite characters, he's so funny and brings so much cheeriness to quite a bleak story, and I could honestly watch an entire movie of him just trying to steal food. For the rest of the collection I plan on modeling Meeko's best friend, Flit at some point and of course the adorable pug Percy as well.
