Glad you are watching this…will def help you understand some Soprano references though the whole impression Silvio does “I thought I was out, but they pull me back in!” Isn’t till Godfather 3 but you really don’t need to watch that whole movie (kinda awful). Also, watch goodfellas if you haven’t before just for some more good characters/acting in the world of Organized Crime

The monthly movie reactions are real. On November 2nd Hereditary, on December 4th Godfather. Then probably the next movie at the beginning of January. The only question, of course, is which year. 😂 I want a Reaction to the Christmas Movie Klaus (Netflix) 😌

Great reaction. The juxtaposition of the baptism and the assassinations is stunning and also my favorite scene(s). Tom is also one of my favorite characters. After Michael retrieved the gun in the bathroom and comes out and sits back down with Sollozzo and McCluskey, the look on his face is so intense. Like he is not distracted by anything, except focused on what he is about to do. Good non-verbal acting by Pacino. --My top two movies all time are GF and GF2. You said you want more background. You will like the prequel part of GF2. --Recommend GOODFELLAS (1990) [Scorsese, AFI Top 100, based on true story]. Tony Sirico (Paulie) of Sopranos is in Goodfellas (1990). --A big +1 for the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy (2001-2003). You will love it. The extended cuts fly by. The Godfather is a classic. But watching it through your eyes is the best. 😂😭🤣 your faces throughout this movie. Pure comedy

Goodfellas is definitely a big one to watch. Anyone who loves Sopranos I'd say it's a must watch.

I sat down to watch this movie a long while back and my father came in and it was all I could do to stop him from spoiling everything. Michael's speech changed because of the punch from the police captain. It did pretty serious structural damage to his face. He was in Italy for awhile but it took very long to heal. There's a lot more detail in the books, but from the movie alone it's difficult to tell the passage of time.
