Hello All!

FINALLY!!! It's happening!!! Cordy is gonna have to come clean! I'm so freaking excited to see the next episode BUT first let's discuss this one... some brilliant moments with Angel sussing things out and playing his cards close to his chest and very well I might add! I was so nervous for Lorne for a moment there too, sheeesh! Gwen is back and having a very intimate moment with Charles...he didn't mess around and I can't really blame him.  Gonna be interesting when he returns to the group too.

Your enthusiasm for Angel is heartening. This episode is a LITTLE odd for me (but not odd as in bad) just because everyone is dealing with the same problem except Gunn, who is at a swanky soiree in an LA that seems to have recovered nicely from the permanent darkness of, like, a week ago. Gunn gets to show off some of his less celebrated capabilities, which is nice. And you're right, of course: even when Buffy ends, it's not really over until Angel shuts off the lights.

Kinda like this one, it's a rare chance for Gunn to shine and a welcome return for Gwen. I don't think this is a particularly good season for anyone in Team Angel, but guest characters like Gwen or Faith really give it a boost for me. I love some of dialogue in this episode, like when Angel talks about the beast master "making it up as he goes along", and Gunn's line about being in a "supernatural soap opera". It feels very self aware, as if the writers are poking fun at themselves!
