January 2024 Twitch Streaming and Future Plans Going Forward (Patreon)

Hullo. I hope yall are doing alright.

I'm just writing this now because after reshuffling my work schedule for all the extant commission work I hadn't finished after getting con crud for 2 days, I'm going to turn off Patreon subs for December and also for January as well.

I've been working up the courage to begin streaming on Twitch for the last couple weeks. I wanna conduct an experiment to see if I could get to Affiliate (the requirements to actually begin earning money on Twitch) by the end of January 2024.

As you might guess, if I'm going to take streaming seriously as a business, I'm going to have to cut into my commission hours - my breadwinner job. In order for me to stay solvent for January, I will have to replace my Patreon hours with the commission hours that would've otherwise been cut.

After January, I'm not sure what'll happen next.

It might just be possible I'll just shutdown my Patreon to pursue streaming as an alternative income method again. At the very least, my future comic idea will live on on Twitch instead. I think we'll see first and look if Twitch streaming becomes viable.

If this means that this Patreon will be shut down, then I would like to personally thank every one of you for sticking with me through all this, all my bullshit and erratic work schedule. I hope for what its worth, I've made this Patreon worth the money you've given it.

This is a pie in the sky hope, but maybe in the future if Twitch takes off (highly skeptical) I might be able to reopen this Patreon again.
