I really hope you watch the Dillon's episode. That one is also insane, and features an Indian restaurant like yours!abc

Jae

After knowing what Alicia does for work in other areas. I NEEDED this reaction lol.

Talon Karrde

So the guy got his money from the mob... he's since been deported to Israel... this restaurant was most likely a money laundering scheme, this ones nuts

Joey245

Your reaction to the tips revelation is something I've been waiting for ever since I saw the last one XD

Nick

hoo boy... as soon as i saw who this episode was about.... Alicia was not ready

REI

I worked in a place where the owner didn't trust any server to punch in orders. He trusted only me to do it, and so I had to punch in all the orders myself at rapid speed while serving tables. Also, if I made a rare mistake, I'm the one who had to pay for it since I punched it in wrong. I didn't get paid extra for this responsibility.

ABC. Katy (the younger waitress) had been working there for a month when this episode happened and was not allowed taste the food without paying full price out of pocket so she would eat on the way to or from work or at home the entire time she worked there.

Jonathan Canfield

This is the peak of crazy in this show. There are many that tried to compete but none could topple these two.

Zod Bain

About the google review thing. Here in europe a few "scummy" companies have been forcing people to delete their bad reviews lately unless you can proof that you actually went to the place that you reviewed. You get an email from google saying that you need to provide proof, otherwise your review will be deleted. I don't know what the process for that is to get google to do that for you, probably getting a lawyer involved. But it seems like there is a way to get those reviews removed.

Talon Karrde

I mean I think some restaurants doing the whole under min wage with tips to compensate that's allowed is fine, but if a restaurants is profitable and can afford to pay minimum wage they should be doing that.

WillGlacier

idk I feel like that's fair if someone would like, idk, be trolling online saying shit like "don't go here, I found a fingernail in my food" and in reality that person has never been there

Lucas_Oreki

Personally, I do like the taste of truffle even if I completely understand the arguments against it

Zod Bain

I definetly agree when it's actual troll reviews or review bombing, which was my suggesting to use that to retaliate against the review bombs from the other restaurant. However, I only found out that this was even a possibility because companies started to abuse this here to delete valid bad reviews and boost their google scores. In my country specific legal advice subreddit are dozens of posts in the last year about receiving these deletion requests and some also including a cease and desist letter from their lawyers to try to bully people into complying.

Notably, Samy got deported a couple years after this episode because it turned out he lied on his immigration paperwork to cover up convictions for drug trafficking and extortion. Puts his "I am the gangster here, not you!" line in a whole new context...

Martin E Melcher

I tried my best to watch these through but christ those people are just nauseating to even watch. Actual psychopathy. I legit think the only reason people went there was to get berated at and watch drama unfold like this.

Justin Bruce

Holy hell. That burger was wetter than the ones Spongebob cooks.

Aliulo

1:14:44 - I had it drilled into me growing up that you always quit, never get fired. Supposedly, it looks better on a resume. It may be the same case here.

Flip Flop

i used to work in a bar in a airport and they used to take my dial tips so we would tell everyone if they want to we can only take cash tips with was ok we didnt get much tips as it was a airport but i was really good at getting tips but then the owns said we can no longer take cash as we stopped at tips 100% so i quit was just a step to far for me

Nakhtichaos

Ya FUCKIN ALMOND MUNCHER (love you hope they tasty)

teatus

alicia needs to see gordon vs gordons mom cooking

ichigo

I wish I had the giant mammoth sized balls Gordon has. The ability to confront but not lose control of your emotions just makes me envious.

Jaquan Ford

I'll sometimes put hot sauce in my syrup when eating chicken and waffles when I finish the waffle and have chicken left. That's good sweet spice

Sanric

God, this is the craziest of the Kitchen Nightmares. I literally made popcorn to enjoy with this dumpster fire. Thank you for taking the psychic damage for our enjoyment <3

Craig

I cant believe Alicia was bullied into watching the best episode early. No reason to watch any more 🤣🤣🤣

Malcorpse

I like the taste of truffle but a lot of places go overboard with it and every other dish has some sort of truffle whatever. It's a once in a blue moon type of food

Polarbear Bowl

I watch the intro but skip the secret phrase, you cant control me, become ungovernable everyone

Draconic

The one consistency with all the reactions to this episode is that people always notice the owners crazy eyes, also, sammy once attacked a customer with a fork some time after the episode.

Connor Clemmons

To be honest, I thought this episode might have been that one where Gordon orders the thin crust pizza and instead get's the EXTRA THICC or even the pasta restaurant turned drive-through. Was not expecting her to witness the only establishment that Gordon outright had to walk away from so soon (and that's saying a lot because there is several seasons of this show).

Arcane.Joe

I know nothing about the food service business specifically but I've worked in different types of customer service my entire life. I like hearing the discussions you have during these reactions because it's always interesting to hear the thoughts of someone who really knows about the subject matter of whatever their reacting to. Also, um those two were just plain unsalted nuts. How in the HELL do you screw up an order so badly that the customer sends back their drink? I'm sorry, I don't know what career that woman is best suited for but it's nothing to do with customer service that's for DAMN sure.

Arcane.Joe

OH YEA sorry I know I talk a lot and I know it comes across as creepy and off putting I swear this is just the way my brain works. um....when you first said the code word was ABC the first thing that popped into my head was The Jackson Five because I'm old and my brain is random like that so now . . . it's stuck in my head. HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

DrOverbuild8363

You know, I get the feeling that when Gordon gave the waitress a tip around 59:12 in this video, Amy saw it as him paying for some dirt or info that she shared or something negative, and thus a betrayal of sorts. Might explain why things derailed even further so quickly, and why she let her go......if that was the same person she let go. I think it was.

xxDrain

How is it minimum wage if it's not the minimum.

REI

I get my burger medium Rare, and my wife gets hers Rare.

RussellSD

was the reason only he would work the machine so he could launder money perhaps?

Nakhtichaos

I'll be honest I want to see what more of you reacting to Gordon. The view of someone attached to food is not one I seen and I actively look for kitchen nightmares/ hells kitchen reactions.

Jaffar Black Fang

You should look up videos going into Amy's bakery Its a rabbit hole cause god damn its insane

Draine Weeks

Congratulations! You made it through. There are more doosies but this is the craziest one by far!

xman t

If you're reacting to recommended episodes, I recommend next you react to the Sebastian's and/or Burger Kitchen episodes. They're insane. Burger Kitchen is actually a two-parter.

Lucifer Moon

I just want to say love at first sight is real for some people. I moved in with my wife the first day I met her, and we have been together for over 10 years with no issues. I was her first kiss and her first everything else and she still loves me so much and I feel so blessed. She is standing by me even through my gender transition.

NickAsNickName

y'know, to me it looks like Katie just did a nervous smile

BakaSama

This was wild. I’ve never really watched shows like this except for Bar Rescue with John Taffer and it’s actually surprisingly similar, except Bar Rescue delved a little more into the science/methodology behind the business than this show does. That said, I think ABC stands for Absolutely Batshit Crazy and I think Gordon got out while the getting was good. I’m very tempted now to hunt down the follow up episode ahead of the reaction to it.

Demon Slayer

am I weird then for actually LIKING the taste of celery? Like legit, as a kid, I used to take whole sticks of it from the fridge, snap off the ends, and eat the stick RAW, no peanut butter or dips or ANYTHING, and I LOVED IT.

Alex H. Larsen

My understanding of the wage rules for American waiters, is that they still have to get minimum wage each month, but the owner is allowed to count their tips towards that goal. So they get a much lower baseline wage, and if they make enough tips to cover minimum wage for that month, then that's all they're entitled to. If they don't make enough on tips in a given month, the owner has to pay out the difference. It's a messed up system in my opinion.

Bren

I had heard bits and pieces of how absolutely batshit the owners were over the years. And somehow I'm still flabbergasted. Keep these coming, I say. Having your particular history and experience as a restaurant owner makes these very entertaining and informative.

Kevin Bartelen

Wanting your burger fully cooked is a Canadian thing. Americans are weird.

Manic Dman

"Gordon will go in with his life, Sami and I will go on with MY life" That says a lot about Amy right there.

LordVed

Most people have heard the idiom "give someone a fish, they will eat for a day. Teach them to fish, and they will eat for a lifetime". Basically, helping in small ways is nice, but teaching them how to help themselves is usually better. But I temper that one with this one; "Give a fool a fish, and they'll stink for a week, give them a fishing pole and they'll poke your eye out". There are some people you just can't help and may even lash out at you for trying. Be kind, but be mindful of ungrateful fools who may wish you harm.

Vegvisir92

genuinely surprised that restaurant was not set on fire

Vegvisir92

Sammy should've been put on his ass multiple times by now with that attitude

Oh man, talking about bosses asking their workers to do odd tasks or things outside of their job description completely brought me back to when I worked at a Pizza place called ABC Pizza (huh funny coincidence) where I had once asked the owner if I could get more hours. He told me to come in early the next morning like an hour before anyone would show up to open. So I did, thinking I was going to be cleaning the restaurant and then helping open or something like that. Nope, he had me follow him in my car all the way back to his house and he had me help him move stuff out and paint because he was moving. Didn't really think much of it at the time, I was just annoyed at having to do manual labor work of any kind and wanted to go back to the restaurant and cook. But I just kinda sucked it up and did it because it was "my job". I was only 18 at the time. Did end up getting like 52 hours that week tho, pretty sure that's the highest I've ever gotten with how much jobs limit hours in the cooking industry.
