Silver Screen

Oh god... Am I ready to cry again?

Schleep

Alicia is losing $50 😭

Talon Karrde

This movie is made by a fair amount of people who left disney when they shut down 2d animation,

Marceline

YOOOO i love this movie

Shykiba

Sad fact this movie didn't actually do 'that well' overall compared to what you'd hope when it came out BECAUSE the creator had to make it himself as due to wanting to make this film and the style of it he was essentially blacklisted from the industry and told no one would want it. He created whole new art and animation techniques tj make it and no one even wanted to publish or broadcast it which is why it went to Netflix.

Gamer Kane

I remember reading something, I don't know if it was a one off that I happened to find or was a big controversy but it was criticising the movie for altering the Santa mythos. I'm so happy I give things a chance before judging them because this is top 3 greatest Christmas films alongside Muppets Christmas Carol and the original animated How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Vegvisir92

one of my favourite christmas movies, i love it so much....also Alicia, i think you owe him some money...

N00B

I cannot cry. I have tear ducts like Popeye's chicken biscuits. I can squeeze lemons into my eyes. I can cut ALL the onions. I can watch every sad movie... ...except this. The integrity of my ducts are compromised the moment I hear: "Once a year... I get to see my friend."

Graxdon

It's peak

Pell D. indestructible

I saw it for the first time 2 weeks ago, I cried, this movie is beautiful, simply beautiful

Kampela

Never really thought of this, but this town has classic European race war going on: Black Hairs vs Red Heads Yes really, that how it is here at Europe. You can be of same color, but having large nose, flappy ears, different color hair or even accent and it is good enough reason to be judgemental. Oh, that big skeleton on harbor, it belongs to a whale. That is what skeleton of whale looks like. Sámi or Saami are ethnic group of people who live in northern most parts of Europe: Finland, Norway, Sweden and Russia. Some of them are still keep up to their old migratory lifestyle, these groups have had free passage to move between borders freely, they follow Reindeer herds when they migrate.

AzulSora

HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF THIS MOVIE BEFORE?!

Artemis

Netflix does like to take things that many other streaming services won't take and it has worked for them quite a lot doing this

protosaber363

Klaus is my favorite Christmas movie of all time.

Kaz

The Klaus Klums Klans

Justin Payne

I think JK Simmons voiced both the general guy AND Klaus actually

2Lazy2Name

I really hope you plan to watch this with your fiance and/or nieces.

YubarReingok

I watched this when it came out in 2020, and since then, it's been a tradition of mine to watch it every Christmas. This movie is so good. I think this is honestly, even counting the classics, my favorite Christmas movie. Die Hard 1+2 being close seconds >:3

Malcorpse

This was also my first time watching this and omg I have a new favorite Christmas movie 10/10 truly a modern masterpiece

John-Paul Frew

I always end up watching this move one way or another when Christmas comes around

Silver Blade

WindWarriorPlays

God Damn it i told myself i wasnt going to cry this time. only a few movies and one piece can do this to me every time

Chase heo

Next y'all you should watch violent night that Christmas movie has in my opinion has the most badass and the most hot Santa

Chipp_

My only question is: Why is Klaus so attractive???

FunkyOnion

Apparently the drill sarge was voiced by Patrick Warburton, which caught me by surprise.

SlimeKingK

RIP Norm Macdonald, The Boatman. A genuine real one.

NerdyGothKitty

It's soooo underrated; I can't believe how many people don't know about this movie. First time I watched it immediately blew every other Christmas movie out of the water for me. Instant classic :D

jason remy

Same , my first time too, and that being my first ever Christmas movie like legit . Btw Not a Christian , and normally I avoid this since yk ,never had the idea came to my head that I should check a christmas movie . All thanks to Alicia now that I got this one chance to react to it. My idea of Christmas fully changed and a new form of respect and adoration has been formed in me for this wonderful, magical day . Thanks y'all for letting me enjoy this expensive together . P.s : I always tell this to myself that I ain't gon cry or leave a drop of tear from my eyes . Guess what , mission happily failed 🤣.

jason remy

Woooow , that's why I kept telling myself , bro why does this remind of Disney so much 😭😭❤️❤️ . Can't believe such a gem was never talked about enough . Been complaining for years for not getting a true Disney animated masterpiece films like the 90s .

Vincent

The "fish" skeleton was whale bones. Whales have big, huge bones.

Malcorpse

Christmas is so far removed from Christianity at this point I think anyone can enjoy Christmas stuff and find some meaning in the holiday. I'm not Christian and neither is my family but we still go all out and enjoy the festivities and be together as a family.

Patrick Waldeck

This is not just my favorite christmas movie but honestly one of my favorite movies ever.

Julio Castillo

Fun Fact: Jesper's voice actor is Jason Schwartzman, AKA Gideon Graves from Scott Pilgrim vs The World and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.

JRWins

Every year since this movie came out I watch it. My favorite part is when Margu gets her gift.

slavicandsapphic

This is random but id love if you watched other genres of live action movies(like society of the snow or 28 days later!) so many great movies go under the radar tbh

Tom Gates

This is definitely the first time I see a reaction from alicia that is only 3 minutes longer than the content, don't think they ever paused

Matt Clark

This is one of only 2 Christmas movies to be released since 2010 and make my "watch every year" list. The other one is Journey to Bethlehem, which is a very fun musical, but I can understand Non-Christians being less interested in that one.

Mortis

This movie became a yearly tradition instantly once I saw it the first time. It’s just a perfect heartwarming Christmas hits all the right emotional notes. Plus I love the sámi representation in it and they they actually speak their own language and don’t just speak English.

Bologna Amputation

Well damn. How did this masterpiece go under my radar? What an experience.

Andrew

one of my favorite Christmas movies is Arthur Christmas (2011) as I love the message the movie has

Klaytor

From my knowledge only usps workers are government agents

mld-Drake

doesn't matter how many times i see this movie, it will always get me to cry in the end. absolutely amazing storytelling

Safy

I love this movie so much it's not even funny. Sami representation in media is really rare to come by, especially from countries that aren't Norway, Sweden or Finland.

holycobra

My favorite Christmas Movie!!

Daisy Azuras

This is a perfect film. I watch it every year and every year I just cry all throughout it. It’s just such an emotionally perfect film. It’s an idealistic concept that I wish humanity would strive for.

Lance Ivy

a stamp is a penny he need six thousand to move . he should sell those chicken eggs like ole girl and mail people junk mail himself one penny at at time

WillGlacier

Why the fuck have I not been made aware of this movies existence until like 1 or 2 months ago! That's criminal! 10/10

Nightmareman99

Gd this movie instantly became a Christmas classic for me watch it every year

Brutebandit

This movie is such a great movie. Amazing writing story and animation, its definitely a 10/10 movie. Another movie I know youd love and cry at too is a movie called Belle, its a netflix original and Id highly reccomend checking it out

One G. O A. T. One Dream

Amazing movie! really really love how its not Klaus who just "became santa" NO. A postman changed a grumpy old man and a town, and born out of that became a Christmas merical. And how they tired all of the modern day "santa lore" into the plot. And this is not a 2D or 3D but more like 2.5D made with dynamic 3D lighting system where they can blend 2D and 3D together with ease. Truly a peek movie. Just love how we see the teacher dead inside in start, but then when the kids started showing up she slowly got more and more life back. Then just the idea that Klaus becake Saint Klaus aka Santa :D but continued to wisit his freind till Jasper died I fancanon.

sebas hernandez

Alicia is a heavy commentator on any reaction she makes, so for her to only add 10 minutes to a 1:30:00 hour movie is insane. that shows the amount of engagement the movie has, incredible.

G0R0_!ch!B@n25

The director of this movie was inspired to make a Batman Begins type origin for Santa Claus

Draconic

I cant believe I missed this post, this is one of my favorite christmas films, it is absolute cinema. Edit: Correction, after watching it again after a long while, it is my favorite christmas movie

Bologna Amputation

Watching this for a third time because it's just such a comfy, feel-good movie and reaction.

Bologna Amputation

I just noticed at the end that Jesper and Ava moved into Klaus' house after he was gone. That's a sweet thing. Klaus built his house out of love, for a family... and that family eventually came.

Empo

This movie lowkey reminds me of The Saga of Karl-Bertil Jonsson as a christmas movie. But about Santa Clause, instead of a heavily satirical look at christmas in 1960's Sweden.
