I love how I'm still going, "punch him, Bobbie!! BOBBIE RUN!!" lmfaoo What a good episode. Martens is such a fuckface! He deserved a mother fracking head butt. He just has such a punchable face. Bobbie claiming asylum is another one of my fav moments. I loved how the episode went back and forth to Strickland + Mei and the team, and how well done the set changes were. And those space shots as Alex was flying?? Damn, imagine watching this show on an Imax or theatre screen. That would be unreal!! The son of Naomi is such a big reveal, and I forgot it happened there. I can't wait for you to learn more of that story. Thanks for the early upload, dude!

Can't wait to watch your reactions to the last two episodes of the season! Re: Mars, as someone who grew up in a non-Western country, the portrayal of this overwhelming expectation, especially from older generations, that people must live for their country rather than the other way around is chillingly familiar. If I'm in a charitable enough mood I can even believe that somewhere underneath that expectation is a genuine wish to improve the country as a whole, and doubly so for Mars in the show. Nevertheless, this wish inevitably gets corrupted and twisted by people in power and those who thinks that the ends justify the means.

I don't believe the Karakum came from or has anything to do with Venus. It's separate from the ship that's shadowing the Arboghast.

Fun fact: during the filming of Bobbie's fight wiyh Martens, she was supposed to throw him uo against the tv screen which they planned to switch out for a prop tv which would be broken. However, she threw him with so much force, they broke the real tv. And as others have said, I can't wait to see you reactions to the next two episodes.

I love how invested in all the characters you are. Can not wait to watch the rest of the season with ya. It's going to be fire!

Frankie Adams (Bobbie) is 5'11". Apparently casting agents kept sending petite actresses to read for the part, but they were specifically looking for someone close to 6', of Pacific Island descent, and who looked like she could pummel people. They found a winner!

I only heard you say monsters instead of dragons once. Both phrases get the same idea across! Great episode and loving Bobbie's arc! She had nothing to lose and everything to gain. She gets to stay true to herself. Her new duty to Mars is to expose the corruption so she hasn't lost her duty or honor, she fulfilled both. That she had the courage to do it with the enemy she so clearly established how much she despised only highlights how much more she despises what her own leaders did to her and her team. Go Bobbie!

Hang tight, the next four episodes are going to redefine what this show is capable of, and definitely take it to a whole new level.

What I love about episodes 10 and 11 is that it's pretty much a classic dungeon crawl. The Expanse's origin as a table top RPG is very clear here with the way these two episodes are structured. Our party of intrepid adventurers meet a villager (Prax) who is in dire straits because of (insert disaster), and they go to the village where they meet other villagers who provide more clues to the puzzle (Basia, Roma). And then they start their dungeon crawl, with a (non) boss fight at the end.
