The opening scene looks a lot like where I grew up. Brings back memories of sleeping out under the stars and skipping rocks on the lake :) Good times, as they say

Tragedy and Jim are not best of friends. Tragedy is more like the roommate you don't like but need to make sure rent is paid each month. For this episode, Tragedy was not only late with their share of the rent, but somehow ate the food and dessert that you had made for a dinner date you invited your girl friend over to try and make up after a major argument and then realizing you spent all your money for the food you cooked and now don't have enough to take her out instead.

I'm glad I have not. But having GM'd RPG games, and having watched WAY too much TV., I can come up with some of the most crazy stuff on the spot when PCs jump in and take the scenario for a drive off the side of a building into a kiddie pool on a building below.

It's funny how it's obviously not gonna last, and it feels kinda tacked on for convenience of plot coz of course he can't be married with a kid, he's married to the Enterprise, but damn if it's not heartbreaking all the same. Every kiss is as the first. We should all be so lucky to find that kind of love.

I was very lucky to have been blessed so. But like it was in this episode, it ended all too quickly. I will forever be grateful for the 22 years we had together, but her passing will always be something that happened too soon for me.
