Storyline Preview #1 (Patreon)

The first episode of Tales From The Unending Void is coming along pretty nicely. The story and renders are pretty much done, all the music has been selected and tweaks to the GUI of the game have been made. Most of the animation is also done, just need to render them.

I’d like to write a little more about the upcoming release, so please beware that there are potential spoilers ahead.

TFTUV won’t use the rigid day structure SL had, one episode can have as many days and time jumps as I want and that gives me a lot more freedom to write. In the first episode we’ll meet one half of the core cast of characters, the other ones will gradually be introduced in episode two and three.

As you might have already gathered from the extra scene poll, two girls are available for some physical antics if you want to, Jade and Céline. Jade is the first alien you’ll encounter and the only race that is commonly tolerated in the Sovereignty, generally being held as slaves. Céline is the sister of your best friend Kit and an early love interest, if you play your cards right.

The story starts inside the Sovereignty, a large part of space ruled by humans. It’s a militaristic society and the populace doesn’t have much love for aliens. We meet the protagonist Camran on the TGN Ypotryll ready for his first training mission on a drab moon in the Beta Centauri system. By sheer luck (and a little computer hacking) his team for the mission ended up consisting of his close friends at the Terran Naval Academy. What’s supposed to be a routine mission quickly ends up being a complete disaster…
