Hey everyone! It's been a while since my last Print Preview, and it's because I've been trying to change the way I do things !
This mostly concerns people on the Collector tier, or those who were considering it. This DOES NOT concerns my website prints.

So to give everyone context, before I was ordering the prints online, sign them and then reship them to Patrons. This would take time, be expensive because of the double shipping, and I couldn't really print all versions every time. So after the conventions I decided to take the leap and purchase a "pro" printer and try to do that myself. It would be better for me, faster and cheaper, and I could offer all versions every time, and maybe even new type of printing goodies for other tiers down the line 🤗)
So I bought the Epson P700 Sure Color which a lot of websites and youtube videos were rating super well, and I purchased a few different papers, thinking it would go great...
But since then I just never got the quality I want. If anyone bought my posters online, they are printed with a partner that sources it's paper in Japan, and I'm astonished by the quality and how my illustration looks on their matte paper, so eventually I want to offer the same quality to my collectors, and of course to people visiting me at conventions, so that way, people who are collector AND order on my website don't see the difference.
So that was the intent, but I don't have much knowledge in printing, and I tried following a bunch of guides to get good colors with that printer, but for now the test prints are dull and washed. You can compare the tests in the image to the 2B print I printed online, see how the colors and skin are dull.

Soooo to wrap up, I'm trying to find a graphic designer that knows printing to help me get all those things right, and in the meantime will probably get back to order the prints as I did before, because I'm so late on fulfilling the collector rewards.

And of course if someone is a pro-printing person, and wants to contact me or "Shiro" on discord, please do 💖 (But please keep in mind I've seen the youtube videos, and tried the "how to" basic stuff.)

That's the update concerning prints ! Hopefully next update will be to showcase the super great result!
Have a great day

I actually use the P900 for my prints and love it. Do note that they are quite thirsty when it comes to ink so keep that in mind but the prints themselves are amazing. I hope you enjoy your printer 😊

Oh that's nice to hear ! Did you get good results out of the box or you had to tweak settings ? Also do you print on Matte or Glossy ?

Ultra Premium Photo Paper LUSTER and the Epson metallic photo paper glossy were my two go to papers. On a technical level the luster is better but on a personal view I like the metallic gloss. It helps with punch and vibrancy imo. Just a note I am using the 17x22 so there are not as many paper options as some of the other sizes. As for out of the box honestly yes, it took me a touch of time to understand the Epson software but after that the only thing I changed was the print quality. I use max quality carbon black and everything else besides paper selection is auto. Now do run some test yourself on the different quality modes as the highest quality takes an eternity to print. I kid you not carbon black on a detailed 17x22 easily clears 30 minutes per page. To the point I would just que a few pages to run overnight.
