Napoleon in Italy: Part 1 'The Little Corporal' - Patreon early access (Patreon)
Content
Dear Patrons,
Here it is - Part 1 of our new Napoleon in Italy series. This episode brings us up to speed with Napoleon's fortunes since the siege of Toulon, and covers the first dazzling weeks of his campaign in Northern Italy in April/May 1796. The climax of the video is the Battle of Lodi - in reality, not much more than a battering of the Austrian rearguard, but a key moment in Napoleon's 'personal development'!
Big thanks to PMF Productions for all their help with this one, I think you will agree they've done a brilliant job with the theatre-level maps, as well as advice and support in various other aspects of the video.
This episode features new-look credits (an old-fashioned crawler, as we call them in the biz), with the names of nearly 400 patrons.
Typos for Merch is also in effect - first person to spot one gets any item of merch from the store as a thank you.
We'll start work on Part 2 almost immediately, and report with updates soon.
This video is going to be my first experiment with a 'Live Premiere' on YouTube, at 6pm on Friday 2 December (the significance of the date will be obvious to many.) Feel free to join in and see how it goes!
Thanks again for your amazing support, and hope you enjoy the video.
