ahh this is really staring to break my heart. I hate seeing them like this. I hate seeing them be put in this position by force, but I know they have to come to terms with it. It's so clear that Hachi likes Yuki man, and she likes him back. its just tough to stomach how badly theyre dealing with all of this.

If you didn't notice every so often at the end of the intros this season, the weather/season outside the window changes, and in this episode, it's the only one where yuki turns around and looks at the viewer!

I've always been under the impression that regressing and going back to old habits when it comes to trying to start and maintain long term relationships isn't a bad thing. Especially for such damaged kids like Hachiman and Yukino with alot of trust and self esteem issues. It's easy for them to start to doubt their own feelings and desires, thinking its a false front for something else. THAT'S OKAY. It going to take alot of time and effort to get through their issues and find a strong foundation, and that's okay. Haruno has somewhat decent reasons, but it is selfish. Her methods can just as easily be destructive as it is helpful for pushing them. The way I see it, she's cynical and afraid for what's to come in the future too. She's lived this long in a lie, and believes its too late for her to change and hope for something genuine. That every little thing you do to deceive yourself into thinking you're changing or making a difference is in the end nothing but a massive self deception. That's why she's so forceful and harsh in her approaches. She's desperate to get the satisfactory answer to her own problems, through Yukino's struggle. Its not just as an older sister wanting better for her younger sibling.. its also hope for herself. Regression and old habits are part of the process in the cycle of change in my opinion, so distancing yourself from others a little bit to work on yourself is ok. But to Haruno, as long as you continue to stay in the same cycles it'll never end. So she's pushing Yukino a lil too harshly at times.. hoping dearly to be proven wrong despite being the cynical girl she is. She's putting hopes that if Yukino and Hachiman can make it work despite all the attempts to force every single doubt into their connection to pull them apart.. maybe something genuine does exist. That if they can find a good balance of being together helping each other grow as people while staying true to their own ideals and dreams for the future.. something genuine can in fact exist. If that can happen.. then maybe there is some hope for Haruno herself to find something genuine too. In herself and maybe with someone else. Haruno definitely is quite a character. You'll either love her or hate her.. or all in between 😂 she represents the cynicism of the old Hachiman who is still there somewhere in him that is still afraid of things to come that could or will change things and destroy what they've built right now. And that is OK to feel. Don't ever feel like it isn't.
