I enjoyed the first half of this then it kind of fell off for me. It was alright.

Where did it fall off? I wish they played with the watching the show within watching the show paradox thing. But I liked how she wasn’t the original. That was an interesting twist.

I appreciated a lot of the dark humor in this episode, lol. I'm not sure who would play me in a version of this. Though, having my name twin do it would be pretty meta. It did get me wondering what my show would be called when I saw them scroll through the different ones. "Jennifer is pretty okay, I guess" lol

Hahaha, that's great. It is interesting to think about though. If we lived in a world where nobody could hide anything. Everyone's every move was available to be watched by anyone. Would it change how people acted knowing this. I'm sure there would be people who didn't care. And others who would try to get attention and become the "most watched".

I've seen all the other seasons of Black Mirror, and I haven't gotten my self to finish this season yet. The very first episode, in season 1 is actually one of my least favorite episodes, and season one as a whole (except for the merits one with the bikes) was one probably one of the weakest seasons, in my opinion. I like the message of the series primer though ( the first episode in season 1). You mentioned that the other episodes you've seen after that first episode of season one fell off, or wasn't as hard hitting. I would say that the main message of the whole series is about the technology, not necessarily to shock you. There are different kind of episodes, including a few that are fan favorites, for other reasons besides shock. I won't spoil it though, you need to form your own opinions on them. But they'll probably be more to talk about once we get to those episodes.

I'm not sure if you recognized the song from the Merits ("Anyone who knows what love is, would understand"), episode when she meets up with her ex-boyfriend. that's one of the things that carry over, kind of as a theme song for this series.

I don’t think I said that about the first season 🤔 maybe the 6th? 🤷‍♂️ The first season I felt set a standard that the other seasons aren’t hanging on to I think. Still great episodes but the hard hit message sending style of the first season, doesn’t seem to be all that present. More story telling like twilight zone, which is totally fine!! I think I just attached myself to that style too much.

It's possible I misunderstood what you meant then. But I wrote that before you reacted to the 6th season, so I don't think it was about the 6th season, unless maybe you heard that it was different or something. I don't know. I do think that the 6th season has a different feel than all the other seasons. But since the theme of the series is technology, they did still keep up with that. I don't know why it's different. but it seems that because they've been into the technology for a while by the 6th season? I believe I mentioned before, that the technology advances as the seasons go on from the beginning. They seem to start with regular streaming in episode one of the series. Then episode two they are on the bikes, in a room where they have to watch commercials, and peddle to power the building, or whichever ( I'm still not really sure how the rest of the world in that episode works). Then in the 3rd episode, they've introduced the memory recording technology, and so on from there. But yeah. this whole season (6th) is a different feel, indeed.
