A few things lve learned by watching these guys is Koreans don't mind the rain and enjoy it..also when they aren't on a schedule they sleep in especially the youngsters..they stay up late and sleep usually til 12 or 1. Also they rarely make a breakfast as we know it. Their breakfast is lunch . And l've hardly see them eat dessert unless it's a bday cake and even then they barely take a bite..as you can see why they are so slender. I wish l didn't like sweets..lol that's my downfall.

One of my fav eps!! Its so cool seeing how the theme song spontaneously came to be 🔥 The boys always feel like a little family but you see it even more in this episode, especially since it was raining outside so they had no choice but to all be in doors ^^ so precious!! Can't wait for next week 🙌🏾

The book Suga was reading was “Almond”, a Korean bestseller. This novel was one of Suga’s inspiration to write “Amygdala”. The amygdala is shaped like an almond. It is the part of the brain that is associated with how the mind handles past trauma. In the novel, Almond, the mother encourages the child to eat almonds believing it will help for the lack of a working amygdala. That’s why in the Amygdala music video, you can see Suga eating almonds, “to encourage the amygdala to work for him”. (my Amygdala, my amygdala, save me, hurry, get me out of here 🎶). “Almond' synopsis 'Almond' narrates the touching journey of Yunjae, a young boy born with Alexithymia, a condition that hinders emotional processing. This touching tale emphasises the profound impact of love and friendship on our lives.” After being featured in ITS by RM and Suga reading it, the book sales went flying. It was already a bestseller but it became more of a global phenomenon because of BTS. 💜

A profound life lesson from Jin’s “Then he flings it.” Trying things and taking risks, but allowing yourself to make mistakes and even to fail. That’s how we learn anyways. What matters is we tried and did our best. I love Jin for his mindset. And how he was such an older brother to Taehyung here giving Tae the chance to try something he wanted. It was simply flipping a panjeon but it spoke of encouragement and support. This is my most favorite part of ITS1. Jin’s words of wisdom so nonchalantly said and their al fresco dinner with makgeolli under the rain ☔️ 💜

We in India also have deep fried stuff in batter when it rains. Like they mentioned, it's a tradition. And Namjoon and Yoongi were discussing the book titled Almond: A Novel by Sohn Won-pyung ( it's a good one) and Hobi randomly said " almond bon bons are the best" and Jungkook laughed at his joke. This is what CCW missed, and I noticed it for the first time, and this is the third time I'm watching! I love Jimin's don't wake me up song, it's an Army favourite 💜

Abby, the drink is "makgeolli". It is a white, milky, rice wine drink with lower alcohol content. Koreans typically drink it from a bowl. It was featured on Jin's Suchwita episode. The ones they sell in the States are pasteurized but typically it is not. If you have an Hmart in Dallas, they sell it there.

Books I’ve read because of In the Soop - “Almond” from ITS1 and “The Midnight Library” from ITS2. Both are good reads but I like “Almond” more. Hits a soft spot too knowing it became Yoongi’s inspiration for writing Amygdala 💜

"WHAT IF HE FLINGS IT" "THEN HE FLINGS IT" The statement that changed the trajectory of my life. This was during covid. I was in a very low place. Having all future plans delayed & canceled. University closed. Just didn't know what to do. Was beating myself up for god knows what reason. After I saw this episode. And heard Jin say it so casually "SO HE FLINGS IT". It put into perspective that you don't need to take everything so seriously. The lock down was something which was out of my hands. It wasn't my fault. So I should stop worrying & let things move the way they are. YOU CANNOT CONTROL EVERYTHING.

He explains in the beginning that he decided to pick up the piano to have a hobby other than gaming, lol. During this time (May 2020), BTS were continuing to livestream on both VLive and YouTube to stay connected with ARMY after the canceled/postponed concerts, provide content to help us deal with being isolated, and share updates on the process of making BE.

I watch ITS so many times but when I watch with CCW I begin watching it a different way. I never think about what the staff are doing, I don't really notice cameras and such. So i find it fun and entertaining with this new concept

Also, they are eating a "jeon", which is a Korean pancake. What they were eating has squid but you can get it with just green onions (pajeon) or other fillings. It is so good!!

Learn to play that instrument, take the dance class, interview for the job, go on that date. Thinking about Jin’s words when I’m afraid of failing or making a fool of myself has helped me so much. In this episode, whenever they said Lego, it was covered with a bird-like tweet sound. It was used often here bc it was a main activity in this episode. In the captions, they used the word blocks instead of Lego. Sometimes the captions will have asterisks in place of the brand name. And you'll often see tape covering a product's name or on their clothing that has a brand name on it. But not on products and brands they endorse e.g. Fila.

My favorite episode~ It was the episode where they got revenge on the haters who belittled BTS's songwriting and composing skills, and I think the scene where Taehyung flips the food at the end shows the members' personalities and relationships the best. I think it's a famous scene from BTS^^

My fav part is that the book "Almond " that Namjoon was reading first was just lying there and suga had nothing to do so he started reading that and got interested . later that is the book that inspired Amygdala which he made during this time of the filming itself. there is one scene where you can see him playing around the track for the same.

Love this episode, the sheer fun they have together without a schedule. The impromptu cooking and the wonderful meals they turn out. Pajeon being one of my favourite Korean foods, whether it is a seafood one, Kimchi or green onions, love it. Makgeolli as people have mentioned is rice wine and when it is distilled it becomes soju. Jin makes in his 4 part episode of The Drunken truth. Well worth a watch even if you don’t have time to review it. Jin is on a Korean variety show called ‘Half star hotel on lost island and it’s amazing. They forage for food like Abolone, conch sea cucumbers etc and cook some amazing dishes. There is a chef and his son that Jin is good friends with, but the amazing thing is Jin will blow your mind with how well he cooks. They eat a lot of fish and seafood raw as well. Looking forward to the next one. 💜💜💜💜

Thats what second watches are for, and part of watching a thing with ur friends. And its fun to later discover the part you missed. I watch bts content alone usually, so i can basically pause every two seconds or keep backing up and rewatching. Ya’all seen the ringcam clip of that elderly couple going onto a porch where a full sized live bear is standing like 6 feet away, and they dont notice? The man is facing the bear while locking the door for at least a whole minute and they never see it. Its me, lol. Thats about how my situational awareness is.

If you guys remember the book that Yongi used to read titled ALMOND, I think that's his inspiration of his song AMYGDALA and he wrote that song during that time. He learned about Amygdala in that book and made it as his song title. It's amazing to know how many songs he made during ITS 1. If I remember correctly, he wrote Telepathy during In The Soop 1 as well.

you guys’ ickiness for seafood opened my eyes! as an Asian whose diet is hugely dependent on seafood and squid etc (even handling raw seafood like what bts does) is totally normal in our wet markets and in our dishes, i didn’t realise it might be less common in the US (or maybe just in the area where you’re from?) — pretty fascinating that there are times you guys don’t recognise some seafood or feel grossed out. sorry, not judging! surely there are US food i don’t know either. and we have our version of mojarra here too! my mom eats everything including the eyes lol. but yeah just a bit eye opening for me cause it’s really really normal in Asia! 😄
