Milim and Veldora fighting!?! John are you trying to sink the continent? You're not wrong though, it'd certainly be a wild time. 🤯 So yes, you guys are starting to see more behind the curtain. A lot of things happening outside of Tempest that Rimuru either directly or indirectly messed with by showing up and being the stand-up slime that he is. Also a lot of people took that personally. 😅 More world building episodes coming up, but honestly just as pack with information and in no way boring. Something I appreciate about this anime is that when it isn't action heavy it IS entertaining. Love the reaction and seeing you guys put to together more puzzle pieces! The ride is still on the incline so buckle up guys! 🩷💛🩵

12: 40 well, he did torch an entire city, so some might consider that Evil Dragon behavior. Chris suggesting Milim and Veldora fight each other? Careful what you wish for Chris. Time you guys dusted off your Overlord paranoia, and start the analysis of who's got what agenda.

Cerulean Spectre

plus yuki was the only person who knew rimuru was human before becoming a slime because rimuru told him

Cerulean Spectre

probably because of rimuru influence veldora chilled out

Ha I'm just always inclined to immediately trust giant fire breathing dragons until they wrong me personally. Godzilla stan here! But yes we have got that paranoia flowing right now!!

For real though, this episode was packed with a lot of new information for us to process. I love it. They have such a way of drawing you in even though the episode might not be as action packed as others. It makes the action even more epic I believe. So stoked for the coming episodes!!

Very true! I remembered thinking that when he first fought Hinata but kinda just blew it off at the time. Things are getting very interesting!

In this section we face Clayman, but the Church and Yuuki are definitely important parts of the plot. And, as you said, don’t forget Milim. Demon Lords so far: Clayman, Milim, Leon, Valentine, Frey, Carrion, and unofficially, Rimuru. I don’t know if anyone explained so far that a True or awakened Demon Lord and a Demon Lord seed can all be called Demon Lords, so we don’t know yet what category most of these fall into. But you cannot call yourself a Demon Lord publicly, even if you evolved, because there are a group of official Demon Lords who must first accept you. They will challenge you if you use the title. Kazalim has a grudge against Leon, because he’s the one who killed him. Accordingly, so does the rest of that group. Kazalim’s soul was lurking in Yuuki, since Yuuki came to this world. Yuuki looks younger than he is. It’s one of the changes that happened to his physical body, that he stopped growing. I would estimate his age to be just under 30, iirc. I personally don’t think Yuuki had any nefarious plans against Rimuru at first, but later I think he decided that involving Rimuru in his plans would be beneficial to him. We will see his goal later. Besides Yuuki being one of a small group of people who know Rimuru killed Shizu, he is maybe the only one who also knows he’s Japanese. Rimuru wants to absolve Yuuki of guilt because he came from his homeland and feels a connection to him, although he still suspects him. So he wants proof. Evidence. If you had watched the Veldora’s Journal episodes, you would have seen that he had been spending a lot of time observing and learning from Rimuru’s activities. Ifrit was there too. Veldora may have been old, but somewhat like Milim, he was uncontrolled and immature. As True Dragons go, he is a child, and since the force of nature he embodies is the storm, or chaos, his personality reflects that. Moreover, he was killed a couple of times, and as I mentioned last episode, he then loses all his memories. The soul, thus the personality, remains. Prior to this, Veldora didn’t know how to assume a human form, and he let his emotions run rampant. He was so strong that his magicules destroyed the environment around him, and kept almost everyone else from coming near him (I guess you could say he was raised by wolves), and he never tried to moderate his power or develop any finesse. I don’t know if it was sharing a family name with Rimuru, but he really looks up to Rimuru as an older brother of sorts, despite the reverse age and power gap. He, like a lot of others, sees something special in Rimuru. Besides that, Rimuru looks at who people are as individuals, and not as part of a class. Thus, if he personally trusts him, so what if he’s an Evil Dragon (same goes for Diablo). I think that’s one reason his people show him such loyalty, although in Veldora’s case, they are technically equals. Veldora isn’t Rimuru’s subordinate in any way. They are true brothers. (Last episode Veldora called him his “sword friend”, but that was a mistranslation. It should have been “sworn friend”.) I see it as another way Rimuru is designed to make connections. Btw, it only took one person to seal Veldora: the Hero, the one who gave Shizu the mask.

Sworn friend definitely makes more sense! I was wondering about that ha
