Walpurgis T-shirt? Cool, can't wait to see what you guys come up with. What design would you pick for an Overlord T? Middray(?sp) can stand as a sparring partner with Milim but not if Milim goes into killing mode, then he's like the mountain range Milim blew a hole in.

Okie dokie. Now that I've waxed poetic about a possible Walpurgis shirt time for the show: 1. I think it would be fair and appropriate to call Rimuru's forces subordinates. You are right, they are his friends, but they all are still his military force and answer to him. I don't think they would themselves would be offended at the term. It is what it is, and they know how much he loves them. 2. Yes, I think that Father Midray is indeed arrogant. But so is almost ever other person in this world, so what's one more? 😅 As to whether he's as badass as he claims... well he does spar with Milim to a draw. So take that for what you will. 3. Doppelgangers. As always the power of an ability is based upon the person and their intent with the specific copy. Soei, for instance, I believe can change the copies abilities and powers for whatever he is using it for. Either that or I'm mixing up my stories again. 😑 4. If Clayman isn't watching and sweating I wouldn't be surprised. He IS an arrogant prick without question. But you're definitely right, almost no one likes him, and he SHOULD be concerned. The question is whether he is smarter than he is arrogant? Guess we'll find out soon. 😈 5. Benimaru in battle is such a wild departure from him in any other situation it's absolutely hilarious! He's so goofy and tread upon in everyday life I feel like his battle persona is his chance to act out all the aggression he keeps bottled up. Like the only reason he isn't a spree killer is because he doesn't want to be a disappointment. 🤣 6. That was the Orcs homeland. I believe you are forgetting that Geld is the original Orc Lord's son, not the one who Gelmund manipulated. GREAT reaction guys, still loving your insights to everyone's actions. Once again I am going to glom onto your comment for organization. 1. Yes, this is an army, also a government, and Rimuru named them. It’s kind of magical law that they are his subordinates. They have all sworn allegiance to him (by the way, I mentioned before that several people did not become the subordinates of the people who named them, remember Gelmud? Also Veldora named Rimuru, but he’s not Rimuru’s superior except in magicules). Monsters in general naturally submit to strength, and Rimuru has proven his strength to them. The problem comes in when they aren’t physically stronger, just given a supervisory role by Rimuru. Then they have to prove themselves. Which brings up the issues mentioned in the episode. First, monsters and majin measure their strength by the amount of magicules they have. Middray pointed out that this is a fallacy, that training is much more important. Rimuru and all of his people have gotten stronger than their quantity of magicules would indicate. The second thing is, this army of Clayman’s was woefully unprepared for Rimuru’s forces, and a constant theme is that, in war, quality beats quantity. And since we’re talking about Dragonewts here, Slimeworld has a lot of races that over time have evolved or devolved in some way, and they are capable of reversing it in certain situations. When Soka and her team working for Souei were named, they became dragonewts, as did Gabiru and his team. But Dragonewts are part dragon (remember, these aren’t the True Dragons) and part human, and the choices and desires they made at the time, (and Rimuru’s wishes played a part, as well), determined their evolutionary path. 3. Doppelgangers. There are people who have a few versions of this Skill, such as Ifrit, Rimuru, and Souei. Souei’s Skill is more versatile and powerful than Rimuru’s. Rimuru learned it from Ifrit, and Souei learned it from him. Rimuru can’t make as many replications, and he can only control one at a time, and he has to be nearby. Souei has about 8 of them, and they can act independently at a distance, but the main body is more powerful than the others. And there are other versions. There’s specific terminology, but I’d have to look it up. 5. Benimaru. Hell Flare is a combination of a barrier and Black Flame, that keeps the heat inside the barrier, and controls its effects. Something he learned from Rimuru. Benimaru, like most monsters, is a battle junkie. He’s almost as bad as Shion, he just hides it better. Remember when Rimuru sent him to Eurazania and he challenged Carrion? Rimuru hopes he gets this tendency under control. Monsters in general respect strength, and often want to fight to find out who’s stronger. Remember they all wanted to run off to fight Hinata during the meeting episodes? Rimuru is always trying to not just put out these fires, but also to keep them from starting in the first place. I think Albis showed her crazy side after that final transformation as well. She reminds me of Albedo a bit there. I have a theory that she isn’t so fond of that wild part of herself, and usually tries to hide it. But it shows that she, too, is a majin. 6. Other topics. Last episode I forgot to say that when they called Adalmann the White King (in the subs), it was actually supposed to be the Wight King. What does Chris mean when he says, what’s going on with [the clowns]?
