I don't know if you guys noticed but the large spell Aldaman(skeleton dude) used on Shuna was Disintegration, the same spell Hinata used to absolutely destroy Rimuru's double ganger in their fight.

Soooo, welcome to Walpurgis! You're never sure if you're with friends or foes, but the tea is LIT!🎉 I did say Shuna's title was HOLY Princess, as in holy magic. If you go back, everytime she tells one of the ogres/ kishin to do something they do it. So they have deferred to her power and wisdom for quite some time. Hakuro and Soei weren't even concerned that she would win the fight. Yes, Rimuru's legend expands without him even being present. I suspect an undead army could come in mighty handy down the line... 😙🎵🎵🎵 Yeah, if ever there was a person's threat you could take to the bank, it'd definitely be Rimuru's. This time I am writing this before LaLa gets to post so I guess I have to be completely original here. You questioned whether Veldora was strong in his human form. Yes, he is as strong as his dragon form. There are a few advantages and disadvantages of the different forms, but he can always switch if one form isn’t the best for what the battle conditions are. “Like a hot knife through butter” was made for Benimaru’s feat last episode. As I mentioned last episode, Adalmann is the Wight King, not the White King. As I also mentioned last Episode, Shuna’s Skill is analysis of magic and creation of new magic spells. Thus, she was able to take apart Adalmann’s Disintegration, and use the power he generated as input to her own spell. She is not as powerful as Adalmann, but she knows magic inside and out, and can manipulate it. She actually goaded Adalmann into using that spell, to get that power. Adalmann is restricted by the curse laid on him not to be able to kill himself, so he rationalized that he had to kill her in the process to get around the restrictions. Holy Magic works by different principles than regular magic, and Holy Magic is considered dangerous to monsters and majin. The fire ant question. It depends on whether I can jump over them. If the surrounding area is too wide, then I would worry. At least fire ants don’t fly, as far as I know. Everyone’s auras at Walpurgis. Actually, there is a lot more about this in the light novels and manga. Rimuru had always assumed that the best way to hide one’s strength was to conceal one’s aura. It turns out that it might be better to fool people into thinking they weren’t that strong. There was also some mutual probing of each other. This is where the difference between Unique and Ultimate Skills comes in. If you have an Ultimate Skill and try to probe someone with one, you are giving away the fact that you have one too. While you can figure out that someone else has a Unique or Ultimate Skill, you are giving away the same information if the other person has an Ultimate Skill. The whole purpose of keeping Ultimate Skills secret is not to give any information to a potential opponent. These very powerful beings have made it second-nature to not be easily analyzed. Rimuru realizes that he let slip to certain people that he has at least one Ultimate Skill. Rimuru and Raphael have a quick discussion and decide that having given this much away, they can only use one Ultimate Skill for others to see, or they might figure he has more than one. So they decide the one he will have to show is Beelzebub–because he will have to use something.

From what we've seen of her so far, I believe Shuna is actually quite weak when it comes to magical power itself, but she seems to specialize in defensive and interference magic (like the way she was able to prevent that Otherworlder girl from using her Unique Skill to brainwash people in Tempest, or how she worked with Mjurran to conjure a powerful barrier to keep the souls of the dead from escaping the confines of the city and allow Rimuru to bring them back to life). So she basically uses her opponent's strength against them. She riled up Adalmann to force him to use his most powerful attack, and then took control of it to have the power to cleanse the entire area. The next few episodes will be A LOT of fun, that I can guarantee. You're 100% going to love them. As I said before, Season 2 is my favorite so far, and Walpurgis is a massive reason why.

I hadn't realized that before, but you seem to be correct in that Shuna uses only defensive or at least support spells. I don't think her actual Skills limit her, but it's just her personality or maybe by necessity because she doesn't have a lot of power. She was trying here to get Adalmann to use a powerful spell, and it needed to be a holy one, and it happened that he used an offensive one. Or somehow she knew or reasoned it would be Disintegration, which Rimuru had described to her previously.

I always find this battle fascinating because it really is a slap in the face of The Holy Churches teachings about monsters. Thanks for pointing which spell it was, I missed it like the first 3 times I watched this episode. It's such an awesome detail and really important for the storytelling. 🩷🩵💛
