Ugh, if it's not one thing, it's another, isn't it?

So, rather than something entirely my fault, like delays usually tend to be, this one is something I can't really do anything about.

Those of you who still follow the thread have already heard, of course, but I've got a rash on my right hand, specifically my middle and ring fingers. Don't know how it happened, don't know why, but it did. Tried hydrocortisone before, but it came back, and whenever I think it's gone away or going away on its own, it comes back.

The rash itself doesn't interfere with my writing. However, the cream my dermatologist prescribed for it does, because it makes it difficult to do anything without getting it all over the place. Since I have to put it on three times a day and I try to give it at least one or two hours to soak in before I wash my hands for any reason, the last five or six days have seen me spending three to six hours, or more, unable to do anything with my right hand. 

That, uh, that makes it rather impossible to do any writing, as I'm sure you can imagine. And even if I could put a glove on and still type something coherent, the instructions say not to cover it up or bandage it without discussing it with your doctor. Since this rash has been irking me for several months, now, I'd rather not risk it by ignoring the directions, either way.

The good news is that I'll be down to two times a day starting on Monday, which will cut the time I spend unable to use my right hand in half, at the least. Even better news, next Monday, I only have to do it twice a day for ever other day, and then after that, I'm done, and hopefully the rash will be gone for good.

To boil that all down: no chapter this week.
