[Hereafter] Chapter XVIII: Dragonslayer (Patreon)

This got long, again. I was tempted to break the chapter up into halves, but the first half wouldn't have reached my 3K minimum threshold, so I just shrugged and kept it the way it is.

Those of you on the Discord would have seen my comment already. For those who didn't, I was looking through Lyon for a castle that would have been around in 1431 to house our intrepid dragonslayer. I figured it would've been an easy thing to figure out. How many castles could there be, in one city?

Eighteen, apparently. Eighteen. WHICH CASTLE WAS IT, NASU? Also, as usual with FGO, the distances weren't accounted for at all, because most of the castles old enough to fit the circumstances were also a 30 or 40 minute drive outside the city.

I wound up fudging things a little. The castle they wind up going to, Chateau de La Motte, is first recorded as being inhabited during 1476. But that castle didn't spring up from the ground that year, fully formed, and record keeping back then wasn't spotless and perfect, so I just shrugged and went with it. It's the only castle inside the city that's anywhere close to the right size and the right age.
