This was basically finished about twelve hours ago, but I added a little bit just before posting this to give the ending a little more substance. Apropos of that, I was actually unsure of whether this would manage to cover the entire fight...but Flauros really is the kind of opponent you can't mess around with, so I hope that was conveyed properly.

In this case, Emiya ran into a problem of being just a little too good, so he didn't get to be the one delivering the final blow. On the other hand, Aife also gets to show off one of her best moves, although when I discussed the aftermath with the editing team, one of the reactions was basically, "Yes, you have to do it like that."

One more chapter to introduce one more enemy — FGO fans should know who it is already — and then an interlude, and probably one more chapter after that to wrap things up. The end of Septem is in sight, finally.

I think for Okeanos I need to find more of a happy middle ground between the blitz of Orleans and the longer stretch of Septem, especially since Orleans technically covered almost four times the amount of time in-story.

EDIT: Moving down.

At least he won't...lev...long enough to regret his choices.

Marc Beans

Nice, visceral description of Lev's change.

I read this chapter yesterday when it was CiP but done, and the ending totally surprised me. Idk why, but it feels a bit weird to cut it off there. There thinking rationally, in some ways it makes sense. I just was reading it and thought the chapter still wasn't complete. Hmm.

Good chapter, and yeah, Taylor and company really need more Servants with hard-hitting AoE attacks.
