Great VAing, Phasmid! Excellent work, Lia! The way the rival acts in the wagon scene is a great show of the compassion they have and their lack of knowledge outside of healing and non-hazardous travel. It makes me more curious as to why exactly the listener pursued healing when they seem to be adept in adventuring. The scenes with danger feel right; the listener doesn’t say too much because they’re focused on keeping the two of them alive while the rival panics. They don’t waste time giving unnecessary information that’ll just rile up their travel partner more. And now we know the origins of Dan’s collapsed lung 😂🤣 I look forward to the next part in this series! I’m hooked 🤩

Oooh Lia you've done it again! Big doofus energy in this one. Can you imagine a wagon sized mimic? It doesn't even have wheels... Looking forward to intimate night watch scenes. Rival getting so gently woken for his shift.. and watching peacefully sleeping listener.. and musing over why a healer student have so many damn adventuring scars.

I feel like there's a reason Listener is like this, as Phas said they aren't taught these things in school and Listener kinda keeps to themselves. I have a suspicion they might have a conflicted past. Kinda the "It's easier to stay for myself and talk to nobody that explain" kinda type

The writing of the mysterious Listener who knows too much to not be hiding something and the compassionate rival who struggles with self-doubts and tries to prove himself is such a fun dynamic
