Eternals is the next film on our journey through the MCU! I'd really been looking forward to this one since we saw that post credit scene during Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings which basically said the ten rings were calling out to something.

Turns out, that movie wasn't referring to Eternals!

Synopsis: The Eternals, a race of immortal beings with superhuman powers who have secretly lived on Earth for thousands of years, reunite to battle the evil Deviants and try to save Earth from total annihilation.

This film had a huge cast but there was definitely a stand out character: Karun! Can we just appreciate how dedicated he is to backup cameras! Hope you enjoy this reaction!

Not everyone hates this movie. You can ask a few fellow reactors such as Mary Cherry, Natalie Gold, Movies with Mary, Ashleigh Burton, Alex Hefner, and even the Normies. Sure they had some criticisms which were important to note, but overall they enjoyed the film for what it offered. However, I will point out that some said this would’ve been better as a limited series. I personally agree, and I felt like that was all the more reason to have a platform like Disney Plus to tell more stories in length. On my own behalf, I’ll admit that I struggled to enjoy it the first time. I actually didn’t intend to watch it until it was available for streaming because I heard about the mixed reviews going around. I can see why they said what they said, but when I saw it for the second time on Disney Plus two years and a half ago, I enjoyed it a lot more than my first time watching. Now that I got that outta the way, here’s a list of fun facts about this movie: 1.) The 10 Eternals chosen for this movie are divided in two categories. We have the fighter half and the thinker half. Makkari, Thena, Gilgamesh, Ikaris, and Kingo are the fighters since their powers are more for direct combat. Ajak, Sersi, Sprite, Druig, and Phastos are the thinkers since their powers are more about strategizing. 2.) Gemma Chan previously portrayed Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel 2019. Now she's back as Sersi, and she got to keep her accent this time. 3.) Kumail Nanjiani had to go on a strict Marvel diet. However in early 2020 while being interviewed, Jimmy Kimmel gave Kumail a bunch of pizza and cake to munch on for the first time in a while. Then after this movie was available for streaming, Simu Liu (Shang-Chi) filled in for Kelly Clarkson in her talk show and also got to interview Kumail. He revealed that his niece was so happy to see her uncle on screen as Kingo. She even enjoyed dancing along to the Bollywood dance number. 4.) Bryan Tyree Henry revealed in a behind-the-scenes interview that he was crying with excitement when he got to put on his costume for Phastos for the first time. 5.) Don Lee is best known for his role in Train to Busan. He said he wanted to portray Gilgamesh so he could be an inspiration to the younger generation as their first Korean superhero. He also got to include his boxing training in his role. 6.) The second post-credit scene features the Ebony Blade that Sprite mentioned to Thena. In the comics, Dane’s codename is the Black Knight. 7.) The guy who asked him if he was ready to wield the Ebony Blade is another character who is supposed to have his own film, but it keeps getting delayed over and over. The pandemic and the strikes contributed to that. Until we have concrete confirmation that it’s happening, I can’t really say much else. If they manage to move forward with production, you should at very least know that they plan to make it R-rated.

Thanks for sharing all these fun facts about the movie and the actors! That is so sweet that Bryan Tyree Henry was crying with excitement! Gemma Chan is such a wonderful actress and I was so happy to see that she was the star. Even though it wasn't my favorite MCU film, I still thought it was really fun. I agree that a limited series would have been a good idea, at least to set up the characters since the cast was so big. But, I'm excited to see the Eternals cast again in future projects!

Unsubscribe? She did Daredevil Season 3, and explained her reasoning for the others already. I would have explained to you as well her reasonings, but your stinky butt attitude is making me not want to. Bye bye and have a good day

I actually enjoyed this movie for what it is. I had a fun time in the theater and I'm glad to have this reaction

You should, like, chill or whatever. It’s just a movie.

I love this movie and so glad you did too! Not sure why people hated it so much lol. I understand there’s a lot of exposition but I was thoroughly entertained A few answers to some of your questions with no spoilers for future things. Doctor strange couldn’t have manipulated time becuase he no longer has the time stone. If you remember in Endgame they all got destroyed. Also. In the comics, Thanos himself is a deviant! or at least part deviant. So that’s why Harry Styles (Eros, otherwise known as Starfox) looks normal. Thanos’s entire family looked like humans. He’s the only one that’s big and purple. This is just comic knowledge though. It could definitely be changed in the movies but that’s for time to tell! And Kit Harrington’s character is also a comic character. Both him, and Thanos’s brother were avengers in the comics at one point of time! I won’t say anything further because after 3 years these post credit scenes haven’t been answered yet. So we’re just as much in the dark as you and id love for you to be surprised when we eventually get answers! I’ve seen this movie more than most other marvel movies. It just speaks to me. I really love cosmic sci fi and mythology so this has a special place in my heart

Glad you enjoyed it! Interesting insight on Ajax’ decisions; never thought of that. Looking forward to future reactions.

I love this movie - I know I'm in the minority, but this was a great ensemble character study, something we haven't seen before or since in the MCU. I'm glad you liked it

Shelley Lloyd

Really? I love JJ and hoped to see it here, too, but I'm not going to complain about her choices. I wasn't a fan of this when I saw it in theaters, but I enjoyed it a bit more watching it again here. Unsub if you aren't getting what you want from the channel.

Robert Inman

There were some of the names that I didn't directly associate with earth history and some that were easy: Icarus, Circle, Athena, Gilgamesh, Hephaestus, Ajax. Ones that didn't slot in like Druig, Kingo and Sprite are more puzzling. Also,, is it just me or does Jax and Lambie have a bit of an Eternals vibe? After all, it doesn't look like Lambie is aging, and Jax could be playing the valet! 👍

Gabriel Urias

Why won't this one transfer to YouTube like all the others?

Armando Castillo

Speaking of blade...have you seen the original trilogy? Those would be a fun trilogy to react to

Glesnie

Awesome watching this one with you I really liked this movie especially with the end credit scene with Harry Styles Thanos is his brother he's not big and purple to funny Jax looking forwardyp Hawkeye

So, I will agree that this one is one of the weaker Marvel movies. Not to the point where it is bad, but for having as star-studded of a cast as it did, we just... didn't get enough emotion out of them. Like, for an ensemble movie that hit the ground running with 100% new characters, Guardians does it right. This one... was just alright. Very long, and needed a bit more oomph. Still, it isn't one of the Marvel movies that I was actively upset with. And yes... there ARE Marvel movies that I'm actively upset with.

2 movies into Phase 4 and there's already a big pile of abandoned plots and continuity problems. Watching this in theaters my mind was reeling with the ramifications of this movie, on the same level of Infinity War. Was a big let down when nothing comes of any of it.
