(Full)Victim box 52: Spooky tickles for Hu tao (Patreon)

Headlines around Teyvat were saying the same thing: Liyue Harbor was haunted. No one was sure when, but a ghost recently decided to haunt the massive trading city. It’s behavior was akin to that of a spoiled child, tossing and smashing goods, making inappropriate noises, and lifting skirts of unsuspecting women in public to name a few.
The intangible spirit was invisible to the naked eye. Their only option was to complain to the Millelith but they were ill-equipped for this situation. They were under a lot of pressure from both the public and their superiors from the Liyue Qixing, the elite who governed the country. Ningguang and the other members noticed that fewer traders were visiting and blamed this ghost for disrupting commerce.
They knew Hu exactly could help them Tao’t. By the Geo Archon they didn’t want to give her the satisfaction, not after all her run-ins with them, but there was no other option. She was the only one they knew who could reliably exercise this spirit. With great reluctance the Millelith commissioned the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Hu Tao.
The eccentric Pyro user already knew what kind of ghost this was when it began haunting. Or rather, ghosts. Sure she could have dealt with them sooner, as she deduced their hiding spot rather quickly, but the desperation of Liyue’s elite meant she could get a nice paycheck and promote the funeral parlor at the same time. Win-Win, at least for Hu Tao.
Hence why she ventured to a nearby cemetery where the rascals retired after a long day of haunting. On any other day Hu Tao might have found their antics amusing, inspiring even, but rules were rules. The dead mustn’t linger in the land of the living.
They disagreed. They wanted to keep playing since they were having a lot of fun. So Hu Tao cut them a deal: she’ll play one game of their choice but they have to cross over if she wins. The ghosts agreed; declaring that she could survive their tickle attacks for ten minutes, than she’ll be the winner.
Hu Tao agreed, knowing that the ghosts were overconfident as she bared her feet for them. And rightfully so! She already crossed the nine-minute mark of the tickling and didn’t yield. All the people of Liyue Harbor knew at the end of the day was the spooky ghost was exercised from the graveyard and Hu Tao was considerably richer for it
