Such a fun movie!! We don't necessarily watch movies to see the next Oscar winners, we watch movies to be entertained and maybe learn something! This one definitely gave the movie fan both!! It was added fun to watch it live with both of You and of course it has a squeal!

The Kingsman series is one of my favorites. What's interesting is that they are based on very good comics, but overall actually takes very little from the source material compared to other adaptations. Even more interesting is that they are really good anyway. Not something one has learned to expect from adaptations. I completely agree about the script, it is a lot of fun. Some of the characters are fantastic (Harry, Valentine) and are awesomely acted by Firth and Jackson. The cast delivers and the script taps into that classic Bond-feel but still keeping it fresh and interesting. The one-liners are there, the characters are clever and some of the dialogues are very thought out. There are a lot of things to pick up and it actually has re-watchability, again not something typically associated with this kind of movie. The action and camera work is just straight up fire! It is absolutely over the top, but it is also very clear it's suppose to be. This isn't regular people fighting, these are exceptional agents of destruction and we get to enjoy the ride. The follow up movie is also very good, The Golden Circle. Maybe not as excellent as the first one, but definitely worth a watch. Revisiting this universe is always fun. I have issues with the third movie, The Kings Man. I won't get into them here, but if you decide to watch them all there is a discussion to be had about that one, unfortunately.
