Tonight is the night 😎

ButtercupsTrueLove

Rest in peace to Linda Hamilton's identical twin, Leslie (the T-1000 twin Sarah).

yeah, it was awesome. i watched together with my wife. we've seen it originally in the 80s so this was a nice trip down the memory lane. thanks for the memory recall. haha. hint hint 😜

Yoooooooo spoilers ahead on the weird offchance that someone hasn't seen this movie and somehow ends up in the comments here: I have seen this movie at least 12-15 times in its completion. I just realized that the moment Sarah goes off to murder Miles, she is doing the same thing that the Terminator is trying to do to her. Killing her for things she hasn't even done yet. That's a pretty cool theme/mechanic or whatever you'd call it. I know it's pretty obvious but I never directly made that specific direct correlation until this particular watchthrough (typing this as John and Arnold trying to figure out why she left and where she went) *edit* glad I typed this when I did. Ari immediately made the comment when Sarah was walking toward the house

Glad y'all enjoyed this! I knew y'all would! A few fun facts the CGI for it's time was mind blowing, James Cameron and CGI have always gone hand in hand, idk if y'all watched Titanic but Titanic didn't come out till 1997 but James Cameron had the idea for the movie years way before 97 but the special effects/CGI hadn't caught up to his standards, Yes Robert Patrick T-1000 practiced not blinking as much as possible to make the machine more believable, I know there's a few more Terminator movies in this franchise but in my opinion the only one worth reacting to is Terminator Genisys it pays homage to the first two, maybe sometime in the near future I know y'all would enjoy it!

Every time I watch "T2:Judgment Day" I always enjoy how James Cameron didn't make Miles Dyson the stereotypical corporate villain but instead someone who came to realize that his decisions could be world-ending for humanity. Dyson didn't intend to sacrifice himself but when circumstances changed he knew what he had to do. Joe Morton was the title character in an indie film before "T2" called "The Brother From Another Planet", a sci-fi comedy where he received praise from Roger Ebert for his unique portrayal of a friendly alien who visits our planet and observes our odd human behavior.

TheMediaKnights

Nice! Glad you noticed that! Such great writing! The way they drew those parallels was fantastic. My favorite one however is the more mechanical Arnold looks the more the human like qualities start to show!

TheMediaKnights

Adding Genisys to our list! We've mostly got the first two recommended but if there's more worth watching we are always game. James Cameron has always been such a pioneer when it comes to technology and how this goes in tandem with what you can achieve in cinema. Seeing what he was able to do back then is truly impressive and inspirational. The guy does not settle for mediocre! He rather wait until he has the right tool to do the things he wants to do with his films. Cannot wait to see what else he comes up with!

TheMediaKnights

Loved that about the film! We were expecting to see the classic guy who even when knowing what would happen was not gonna show any type of remorse. What a surprise to see that he immediately understood the gravity of the situation and rectified it. I love it when they treat characters like real people would. You could tell this was just a guy fascinated with the science and tech behind it all.

Using my phone. Also tried using my laptop. Vimeo saying I don't have authorization or something. No worries though. I'll just wait till YouTube version drops. Thanks anyways

TheMediaKnights

There should be an embedded video and it should just play here directly on Patreon and on a device where you're logged into Patreon. It should not redirect you anywhere else. Is this happening with the other videos as well?

Same issue for me on Android Patreon app {pressing link tries to open vimeo app or if I uninstall the vimeo app, it tries to open the vimeo link in Chrome). It works for me on the same phone when accessing Patreon in Chrome, though. Btw, have been really enjoying your movie reactions. It's like watching some of the classics for the first time again through your eyes!

Adrianna Marie Aka AD

Strangely yes but I've not had this issue on other channels so not sure what's wrong. I was able to play it using Chrome though like suggested from someone. Plays just fine now. Just not on the actual app for android.

TheMediaKnights

Thank you for letting us know! We’ll look into it. See where the issue is coming from! Thank you for watching these with us. We’re so glad to hear you’re enjoying these. We’ve been having a blast!

TheMediaKnights

We’ll get to it! Don’t know exactly where the issue is originating. But it seems like it’s an issue with the app and it’s Vimeo integration at the moment. We’ll have another upload up later today so feel free to let us know if the situation remains the same or if we figured it out 😃

Huge fan of the franchise & in my list of favs since I was little (& too young to see them). My mum went to see T2 & didn’t know Arnold was the protector (no spoilers then). He was such a big star by then since the first movie. Great idea! I messaged R.Patrick on Twitter about his running training to be able to run fast without being tired. They all practiced with arms/ military people. He was awesome! Arnold was commended for his skills to use/ handle the firearms. Literally practising endlessly for Terminator to make it so slick & robotic. All the next sequels - T3, Salvation (Christian Bale is John), Genysis & Dark Fate are worth watching to follow the story. They all have cool chases, scenes & moments, but you’ll see how the first 2 are 2 of the best ever. Without Cameron directing his heart & soul into it, it’s hard to follow these 2. Lastly, Vasquez from Aliens was John’s foster mum & Dyson plays Cyborg’s Dad in DC’s Justice League - familiar faces. True Lies (James Cameron) & The Running Man are 2 more worthy Arnold movies! I think Predator & T2 are his 2 best. Hasta La Vista Baby.

TheMediaKnights

Not knowing Arnold was the protector was such a great surprise! Love to hear when actors go above and beyond and train for their films. It really does add a layer of authenticity that helps the overall immersion! Thank you for your suggestions! Adding them to our list 😀

While I enjoyed Genisys, I'd respectfully recommend Dark Fate over that one. Mackenzie Davis is great in that movie, and of course it brings back not just Arnie but Linda Hamilton, too. It was also produced by the man James Cameron himself. Would def recommend as your T2 follow-up!

Rest in peace! Thought this was a joke at first until we googled her. Had no idea she had a twin sister! Awesome to see they included her in this.

The lengths I went to in 1990 to avoid knowing anything about the film before going to a Midnight Premier was tough. Watching the film 34 years later through a newbies eyes was so fun. The shock at "good guy" terminator, the shotgun flip on the motorbike getting a cheer and the sadness of a robot dying. It felt like watching the 1st time again. Thanks guys.

Rewatching this reaction and I hope that you two have at least watched the special uncut edition in your own time. It has so much more context. 🙂
