Y'all know I'm honest, some love it some hate it but I gave this movie a solid 40 minutes and I was still bored 🤷 I wanted to like it but my goodness it simply wasn't happening for me, I know there's a lot of people that would disagree with me and that's fine lol for what it's worth I'm glad you guys enjoyed it

We get it! Not every film can satisfy every audience. This film begins as something but does a complete 180 during and after Act 2. It truly goes bonkers especially if you go in blind.

This is why I luv you guys lol we are always in sync, even when we disagree we agree lol

This old lady loves that you are watching the great 80s (and some 70s) movies. This story isn't the best the whole time, but you get the cinematic styles and the beauty of the film. I really want you to see American Werewolf because I know you will appreciate the practical effects and humor. So glad I found you!

Not my favorite movie, but you have to appreciate the filmmaking and acting. Wow.I'd love to see y'all react to Dark City and Dark Star. I find them both amazing aging films for very different reasons. One is a mindbending thriller and the other a veeeery early film my horror's John Carpenter and alien monster maker legend Dan Obannon.

We've had American Werewolf on our sights! Even though it wasn't chosen in the poll we are still very much game to watch it!

Adding both to our list! Thank you for recommending these ❤️Also loved your point of view. Even though this movie is not for you you could still appreciate what worked!

"Dark City" is mind-blowing. I didn't see its theatrical release but have watched it many times at home after disc release. The late Roger Ebert wrote in February 1998, "Dark City" by Alex Proyas is a great visionary achievement, a film so original and exciting, it stirred my imagination like "Metropolis'' and "2001: A Space Odyssey.''

Well as I said in the email I sent you guys, you can't watch this and not watch Near Dark. :) They came out at the same time and Lost Boys entered the cultural zeitgeist almost instantly, whereas Near Dark vanished to the fringes ... and unarguably, as much as I do think The Lost Boys is a fantastic film, Near Dark is definitely the better movie, far darker, far more enigmatic, taking the genre in a radically different but worthwile direction ... and it stars the cast from Aliens. There's a great story behind that which I'll recount if you review it, because it might contain some spoilers for the movie itself and you do not want a second of this film spoiled for you.

You won't regret it. A thrill ride and that rarest of things; a horror movie which manages to be both scary and funny at the same time. A perfect choice, a film that will stand the test of time.

I noticed the youtube reaction this morning, watched that and realized I just couldn't put it off any longer. I am now a Patreon supporter. As for Lost Boys in general, half my family LOVES LOVES LOVES this movie. The other half are so done with it. LOL. Guess the half that likes it have watched it one too many times. But I'm one of the lovers and I loved your reactions, especially since you had no idea what it was about going in. And I tend to love your reactions in general anyway. :) Very happy to be here.

Thank you so much for all the support and for watching these with us. We really enjoyed this movie. It was great going into it blind because we didn't know what it was about but while watching it the genre and the way they blended them was so freakin' entertaining it had us hooked!

TheMediaKnights

Definitely gonna add it to our list and give it a watch! Thank you for the suggestion. It definitely sounds appealing 😀

If you have never seen Big Trouble in Little China, another 80's movie, it's worth a watch. Kurt Russell, Kim Cattrall. Don't go into it thinking it's serious. It's campy but great. Kurt Russell plays a "Man's Man"(what else). But it's a fun time. Some others are also Fright Night (original 1980's) and Labyrinth. Love watching you guys. Your reactions are so real and informative. And I love how you appreciate and recognize what goes into making each movie.

new patreon here. my only creators. lol. i've commented on a few of your posts, and i thought it was time. you are major steps above your peers, if i can even call them that, and i've watched a few. you are the only ones i would even begin to want to watch LOTR and Hobbit, because as an avid lover of the books, i was always afraid of superficiality in reactors. but you lived up to what i expected, and i thank you.

i meant to say that the opening music is one of the most beloved and iconic 80s title themes, and suits the film perfectly. there are many good music choices, yeah, and the cast is top notch. this movie launched the wee phenomenon called 'the two coreys' based on the names of two of the actors, duh! and i used to hang out in the city it was filmed in and based on (they had to change the name), Santa Cruz. Very familiar scenes. thankfully no vampires, even ones as cute as Dwayne, played by Billy Wirth. I wish! i probably would have been annoying, showing my neck to him on every possible occasion.

and this is the second movie i've tried to watch here without picture or sound. sup?
