This is from their debut album Play, which means it came out when Chanhyuk was about 17 and Suhyun about 14. Chanhyuk wrote every song on the album. Akmu are more famous in Korea than abroad and part of it is because of their outstanding lyrics. When you post this on YouTube multiple commentators will want to make sure you understand something that escapes non-Korean speakers: the Korean title of Melted is 'ice(plural)', but the word looks and sounds like the word for 'adults'. So Chanhyuk is very deliberately inviting the listener to 'mishear' the lyric 'why is the ice so cold' as 'why are adults so cold'.

The MV still makes me emotional watching it, such a beautiful song with so much symbolism.

Chanhyuk is to me one of the best composers I've encountered since starting down this Kpop-journey. Both musically and lyrically. Add to that the fact that Suhyun's voice is up there with the best in the world for me, you get something very special. This song is fantastic. The MV is beautiful. A real piece of art. Gripping, well directed and very well acted.
