I generally like their lives better for most of their songs and it is certainly the case for Freedom. The studio is still a solid song but the live MV to me is just better in all ways. By the way Freedom is their most played song live (with Real Existence at number 2). Granted the older songs are more likely to be on top on a most played since they have had more time to play it but it definitely the case they like to play this one. Your are closing in on one of the milestone Band Maid songs. You probably have already heard this but just in case, Alone is the first song they released that Kanami wrote. Everything up to this point was songs written by other people. I believe they still worked on the arrangements which is why they sound like Band Maid. Kanami had been writing songs during this period as well but I think Alone was the first accepted by the record company. And it is great. I think about half the next CD is from Kanami and then almost everything after that is all her.

I went into this one like you, having only heard the live version, and I agree the live version is better. However, the studio version is excellent and I enjoyed it quite a lot. The Non-fiction Days is just so damn good I can't put it before that. So you would think number 2, right? I just can't get over Don't Let Me Down, for some reason I love that song.
