Hmmm i havnt done a list sorry dude, but if i had a gun to my head i would probably say Oh my god Lion Hwaa As top 3 so far I get that the ending is a bit odd but i think its also part of its charm, and its hard for me to comment whether it wouldve been better one way or another. Plus i think i just blindly trust that soyeon made the best decision for the song structure 😂

HWAA is not only my favorite Idle song, it is one of my favorite songs of all time. I've always considered the rather abrupt ending a feature, not a bug. It's just such a powerful song and the harmonies! For a group that very rarely does harmonies, they're beautiful here. To answer a few of your questions: 1. The lyrics of Hwaa are written in the format of a old-style Korean poem, so, at the time, they probably would've been fairly hard for Shuhua to work through. It's like asking someone for whom English is a second language to read through the King James Bible. Yuqi and Minnie are just more confident with their pronuciations. Still, Shuhua got the "Bureul Jipyeora" which is, arguably, the most memorable line of the whole song. Soyeon has always been great about giving Shuhua memorable moments early on, even if she had fewer lines. (Also, recent performances of Hwaa where Shuhua has covered Soojin's lines have been great) 2. It is "Oogi" with a "g" sound or "Yuchi" with a pronounced "CH" sound (if she's speaking in Chinese). 3. Yuqi's wearing a wig in this video and it's actually something of a piece of legendary (G)I-dle lore. Both Miyeon and Shuhua would go on to wear this same wig for various reasons. When it came time to promote Hwaa on music shows, she did cut and dye her hair though.

This song is so beautiful and the MV is stunning. Just another reason why (g)I-dle is my Ult girl group. Matt is correct above about the pronunciation of Yuqi's name. I agree with you on the ending. Everybody Moo Party!

One of my favorite raps from Soyeon! The way it starts slow and builds momentum into the second half is so satisfying. Parts like that are what made her my favorite rapper in kpop 🙂.
