You recounting your story got me slightly emotional. I had a similar experience with Dreamcatcher though I'd been watching K-pop for a few months at the point that I found them. Like a lot of people, I think, I discovered K-Pop during COVID. Around July, 2020, I saw a video on the Jolly YT channel that was along the lines of "A Priest reacts to How You Like That by Blackpink". I watched that video and found that I enjoyed the song but mostly I was really impressed by the symbolism that they found in the MV while they were reacting to it. It was a gorgeous MV and the symbolism and interconnectedness of the different scenes in the MV really spoke to me and my love for narratives. It was the first time I'd truly given K-Pop a chance. I, like most people on Earth, had seen Gangnam Style but had never dug deeper into the genre. For the rest of 2020 I devoured Blackpink's discography and towards the very end of December/beginning of January I started checking out other groups. (G)-Idle, K/DA, Stray Kids, Mamamoo, & even Twice. The variations in style, the story telling present in the MVs, the unique combinations, the amazing vocals, and the blending of different genres all appealed to me. I was thoroughly hooked. Then one day during that winter, an MV was recommended to me via YouTube's algorithm. That same thumbnail that grabbed your attention grabbed mine and from there on our stories are basically identical. I still remember how incredibly HYPED I was when I finished the Scream MV. I'd never seen a music video or heard a song like it before. I grew up listening to groups like Linkin Park and Evanescence, groups that blended rock and other genres to create something new and Scream spoke to me like nothing ever had. I discovered later on that I'd actually heard another Dreamcatcher song before and loved it when I heard it, but I was driving and never went back to see who sang it. That song was Piri and was my official first DC song. When I realized I'd heard it before and that it was Dreamcatcher it just made me love it and them even more. Here I am almost 3 years later and they're easily my favorite group of all time. It doesn't matter what type of music I'm in the mood for, DC has a song that will fit it, AND they're some of the sweetest and funniest people I've ever seen. It's just criminal that more people don't know them yet.

I had no idea anything about the group, I even thought Break the Wall was a title track or something. I had just clicked on it because Youtube kept recommending it to me and I got annoyed and just clicked. Best decision ever! After Break The Wall this was the first MV I saw and I was hooked.

This song was the 2nd song by Dreamcatcher that I heard...Piri was the first, I knew I was gonna love this group because of Piri...I KNEW I was gonna love this group because of Scream. I had never heard of a Kpop group perform a song like this one. I can't wait to hear the rest of this albums song reactions from you. Other than my ULT group (EXO). Everybody Moo Party!

This was the song that got me into DC too, and still my favorite song full stop! Before DC I was a heavy Mamamoo stan, a casual (G) I-DLE enjoyer, and that was it. This song presses all of the right buttons for me, from the great vocals, to the pumping chorus, to the Queen-like voices in b-part of the chorus.
