Audreyldo

YAY I was thinking about going to sleep but no wayyyy i’m watching this rn

Nat Brojeni

Yes finally! I’ve been checking everyday! lol thank you :)

Caraxes🐐DT

Lore videos next? 👀 also Sansa does not know who she can trust lol if she just blurts out she don’t like Joffrey she could die… @cannon just because you don’t have white hair don’t mean you not a Targaryen lol there are plenty of dark haired Targaryens just like we seen in hotd they still have Targaryen blood from the parent.

Tuckerah13

🩵💙🧡💜💚

A_Daddy Daichi

Can’t wait to get off work in 4 hours!!

k

bruh sansas not stupid shes literally 13/14 here so naturally shes naive😭 and shes learned the hard way that she cant trust anyone in kings landing and has to mind her words so why would she show baelish she still has love and loyalty to the north when theyre considered traitors for all she knows he’d just go and tell cersei or joffrey she wants to go home and she’d be punished for that

AnimeAddict103197

Let’s go just finished watching it great reaction guys can’t wait to see more

SilverAtlas

Be careful guys, season 3 has some pretty heavy HOTD spoilers. Be wary of them!

Reilly Keith

So excited for season 3 even the early episodes have some big moments

TheSauceGuy

And so it begins

R

LETSGOOOOO

TheSauceGuy

Brig, the reason the quality drops off so much (apart from running out of source material) is because Dan and Dave got a Star Wars deal. After getting the deal, they rushed to finish the show despite GRRM pleading with them to extend it. Even if things ended more or less the same, a couple more seasons to add development to the characters would make things feel much less off.

TheSauceGuy

I love Pycelle lol

AlucardIV

Yes, now onto S3 where by the end of it you'll no longer be sweet summer children but men of winter. Can't wait!

Jed

Season 7 gets too much hate, I still really enjoyed it and it was building a lot of hype for season 8. Season 8 is where the show legit goes from top 3 all time shows to not even worth debating anymore. It really killed the entire show, I vowed to never watch it again because it ruins everything but I cant resist the reactions to Seasons 1-7.

Lalisa Truong

What is there to understand about how Sansa is acting? She doesn't trust anyone there lol one wrong thing said or one wrong move from her and she could die. She's right to not trust anyone but at the same time, she's still young and new to the game. The only thing keeping her alive at this point is her paranoia to not trust anyone and her "loyalty".

Jacob Goldsmith

can we expect the normal wednesday drop

Raven Sub

One of the biggest lessons Sansa has learned is that no one is what they seem. She once trusted the wrong people and she paid for it dearly. Continuing to do that is the only thing that would make her dumb. Remember, she is not watching the show, she doesn't know what we know. And we know Littlefinger isn't trustworthy so i'm confused by the reaction.

kyle

one thing about GoT that can never be taken from it is that it has one of the greatest soundtracks of any tv series/movie series ever

bondbond53

I really don't get your frustration with Sansa

Mitch

The worst part is they had PLENTY of book material for seasons 5-6 but they decided to cut a ton out and add their own original plot lines that were 100x worse then their book counterparts which is why 5-6 had a noticeable difference from 1-4. If they strictly followed the books 5-6 would’ve been pretty flawless and in turn 7-8 might have actaully been decent as well. TLDR Dan and Dave are disgusting frauds that thought they were smarter than George RR Martin and deserve nothing but hate and failure for their arrogance.

Shadow

Season 3 here we come🙏🏻 cannot wait

Audreyldo

Theon is one of my favorite tbh 😌🖐🏼

Nepenthe

Calling Sansa stupid is pretty wild. She's surrounded by liars who take sick enjoyment out of tormenting her. She interprets Little Finger's offer to take her home as a twisted test of her loyalty to Joffrey and Cersei. You guys understood that the Hound was honest in his offer because we're young adults watching as a detached audience that isn't inhabiting the show like the characters are. Look at it from the perspective of a young scared girl; the Hound is a monstrous giant man who she's seen ruthlessly kill people and who's been Joffrey's lapdog since she met him, one act of kindness doesn't change that and I wouldn't go with him if I was her either.

Tristan Cray

Popular people/things will always have defenders, no matter how crazy their "mistakes" are. They're entitled to their opinion same as anyone else. All I know is GOT is the best six-season show of all time. 👀

PST3

You want to know what Stannis saw in the the fire: the Timberwolves

ken

IMO season 1>2 but the next 5 are better than both

Max Dalton

Brig has been COOKIN these last few eps in the discussions. Excited for s3 boys

Mia Malvik

Hear me out about Brienne tho

Ethan

Qhorin Halfhand and Maester Luwin didn't get the screen time they deserved, absolute legends till the end!

TheSauceGuy

A little harsh but they did fuck up big time when they didn't need to.

Ethan

brock surrett

if you guys like lost, you need to watch the show from. its from the creators of lost, its so good

bateman bookworm

sansa watched her dad get beheaded after everyone betrayed him including little finger, why would she trust anyone at this point

R

oh yesss, like the comment so they see

Nymeria Stark

Great discussion of favorites characters/underrated characters at the end

Marcusinmilw

Calling Sansa dumb is pretty harsh, especially from someone who has already seen the entire series. Let's not forget, she is only 14 years old. Sansa has been manipulated and pulled in so many different directions is it really any wonder she doesn't trust anyone? Come on now.

alee

Everytime Sansa is called dumb my blood pressure rises a point

alexis ♡︎

dany so fine this ep jeezus christ

AlucardIV

I find Carter's 'hot take' not hot at all tbh. I found Daenery's attitude during S2 downright unpleasant and made me hate the character. But I'm used to being against the majority. For instance, I think seasons 5-8 are various degrees of dogshit with a few great episodes in seasons 5 and 6 whose potential were completely squandered later on, so enjoy any interesting and intelligent characters that engage in good and clever dialogue and make cohesive decisions while you can. But hey, the production value goes up in future seasons.

Dean Cyphers

I mean I’d definitely point and laugh at D&D if I saw them in the streets lol dolts of the highest order

MaraReaper

Been having a bad day, seeing this upload has perked it up! Thanks Geks

Sonia Amiar

ik right.. but we can't blame em, they're still at the beginning of this journey

Nivek

“WHAT A RAT BURN HER!!” 🤣🤣

Marcusinmilw

I'm with Cannon when it comes to Catelyn. She has made SO many stupid and reckless mistakes that have put her family in further jeopardy. I already dislike her because of her unfair treatment of Jon.

Goat

And then they got dropped from Star Wars on top of that after the horrendous reaction to the last season 😂

Ana

She really only made one mistake so far tbh. And that was taking Tyrion

1999

The Walking Thrones

Elliot Pownall

They forget shes a sheltered child with no life experience and shes been put in an impossible situation.

Goat

I agree with Carter about Dany being entitled in this season but that's totally on the show. They changed her character from the books for the worse, I legit cringed when she was saying "I am no ordinary woman, I am the mother of the dragons" or whatever

MagicSquirrel

You guys in the comment need to fucking chill about their reactions. It's THEIR reactions. Let them react, don't try to shape their reactions based on your own. It's THEIRS... wtf

Mae

I’m going to annoyingly repeat this every episode, but WARNING there’s a major House of the Dragon spoiler in episode 3x4. It’s one sentence and adds nothing to the GOT plot. You guys should just cover your ears if you don’t want to be spoiled, I wish I didn’t know it!

Tyler Sick

Cannon you can keep the lambo ..as a thank you of course for helping me with that charity last week

Daenerys Targaryen

Once you've finished season 3, you will have ceased being summer boys and will become hardened winter men.

Brehton Zumwalt

I heard you mention Blue Eye Samurai 👀 Are we gettin videos of it?? 🙏

Jake

Season 3 can't come quick enough

Daenerys Targaryen

For real. Book Dany is not annoying like TV Dany gets sometimes. Yet another reason to dislike D&D 😡

Chris Sanford

Not to be the one to bear the bad new, but the actor who played Kevan, Tywin's brother, Ian Gelder just passed away today. May his soul rest in Peace.

Keiji

Valar Morghulis

Sanji

Baelish pulling some bbl drizzy moves on Sansa 😧

salma

Geez I love Wednesdays and Thursdays :)

danidelight

I love how in the beginning Jon was seen like such an outcast of the family, and now he is thought of as a safe space when Winterfell ultimately falls apart.

So basically everyone who watched got knows it? Lol. Anyways id like to avoid it can you tell me the timestamp? I am currently at 3X1

Mae

It’s 15:49-16:06. A lot of GOT watchers wouldn’t have remembered bc the Targaryen names didn’t really mean much to us before HOD and it’s such a small bit, but if you know the HOD characters there’s no way you’d miss it. I’d say avoid!

nora

Brigs back at it again calling thing left and right lol really impressive

Bellaa

“i am the son of light” 💀😭

jblakk

Alfie Allen(Theons actor) is so fuckin good man. I wish he was in more stuff.

sushi

yep to the last part! originally in the books rhaenys actually has dark hair because she’s only half targaryen and the other half is baratheon but they changed it in the show to avoid confusion.

sushi

sushi

fun fact: the character who plays talissa is the granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin. her name is Oona Chaplin.

Pulse rifles suck in pve

a really important detail ive seen someone bring up is that its common for history to be based on whats written or told through generations. However, that doesnt mean its what ACTUALLY happened. We're watching hotd as if it is currently actually happening so we can see the true events unfold

Nicole

Jamie making fun of Brianne being a virgin when the man only fucks his sister 🙄

Mysterious Figure

Can you give an example of her self righteousness from before season 7/8 where they essentially butchered her? Before then I think she was written as mostly reasonable and kind person sticking to what her character was about.

Rigny la Belle

Breaking Bad and Lost for the win

A_Daddy Daichi

Sansa is trying to be safe. She’s definitely learning the game slowly

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

UGH such a good finale I forgot how much they put into this episode <3 Let's gear up for season 3! So excited to see reactions of things to come!

Jessica

I need to know if they know the different theme songs!!

Jessica

Season 7 is still very good. It just lacks from the writers. But overall got is one of the best shows out there considering the outstanding acting, cinematography, music, production in its whole. Just the writing is weaker…

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

Rewatching this with you guys made me re-realize how much this show cooks! Try not to pre-judge seasons 7 and 8 yet based on what people say, I'd rather hear your raw, un-biased thoughts as you see it, as it has been to this point.

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

I will stand up for you Jack, I also have forgotten certain details of scenes over the years XD

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

Maester Luwin's death still makes me tear up even after seeing it multiple times, my guy was so wise and kind <3

Nonos

S6 is fire, and s7 not the worst but hating season 3 is kinda crazy bro💀

jblakk

AND, that scene is crazy in hindsight too. So saying "thats crazy" while rewatching is valid lol

Jessica

also in jojo rabbit, it got a few Oscar nominations

Nicole

Absolutely even though she isn’t really a lady or doesn’t want to be anyway. So not sure she’d go by those rules but yep!

Nicole

💯 I love it all, I won’t go into it but open mind boys.

k

arya’s naive in her own ways as we can see throughout her encounters. but shes also different in that she’s always been resistant of the life she was born to lead as a daughter of a lord. sansa accepted and loved the idea of that life which is why she expected kings landing and her betrothal to joffrey to go differently than it did. im sure most of the other young, privileged noble girls were like sansa; at that age theyre simply a product of their upbringing and the people around them

Meave

I think Brigs will predict the plot twists

Wiifty

You’ve probably heard it already but the final seasons suck because they ran out of source material and the author of the books stopped contributing to the show

sushi

i merely made a comment about her character throughout the seasons we’ve seen her, none of what i said is something we haven’t seen in seasons 1-2, but i will delete for your sake buffy summers 😥

Kim555

you don't know how much you guys make me happy. You make my serotonin max out. God I love watching stuff with you

Delane Gill

For me, season 7 wasn’t dreadful but it was very disappointing. There were a lot of cool and exciting moments which felt nice to watch the first time. But the more and more I think about the lack of logic and terrible writing around them the more I hate how much a wasted opportunity it all was. The show kinda got carried by its budget and name by the end. If season had the same quality of writing and plot as the latter seasons I don’t think the show would’ve popped off anywhere near to how much it actually did

Poragami

season 7 wasn't bad, it just wasn't up with the standard. season 8 was dogshit tho

Jessica

I enjoyed it when I watched it the first time, and I think most people did, but of course there’s a lot of plot holes that should have been filled with at least 10 full episodes etc

Jessica

Right there’s a lot of epic moments tbh!! I like it. Trying to stay positive 😅

Keiji

Sean Bean is a walking spoiler. You just know his character dies.

Keiji

Arya is not underrated. She’s a lot of people’s favorite. We just don’t wanna say anything right now.

Thomas Strunk

No spoilers, but I think most people dislike the final two seasons because they feel rushed. The pacing right now is a complete 180 in the final two seasons. In my experience, binge watchers also don't mind the ending as much because they didn't have to wait like 8 years to get it.

Caraxes🐐DT

Cannon also don’t forget just because you don’t have white hair don’t mean you not Targaryen lol I mean dany is his mother so he for sure a Targaryen just like rhaenyra boys are still Targaryens that got they hair color from the dad side…they still have Targaryen/blood of the dragon in them.

brog.

love the respect for theon. its easy to shit on him but he is one of my favorite written characters

Nomaan

Daenerys definitely develops better in later seasons

Caraxes🐐DT

But it’s not just hindsight tho cannon I mean you expect her to trust little finger the man that also betrayed her father when he needed help?? He has shown no reason for her to trust him or anybody in kingslanding tbh so her saying what she saying makes every bit of sense especially with what she seen happened to people that talk bad about Joffrey or the Lannisters

Caraxes🐐DT

How is letting kingslayer go not a mistake? Lmao we get she’s a parent and all but that don’t mean it wasn’t a mistake

Sweede TW

the Winterfell thing will make sense later trust

You gave it away. Now I know she'll be surviving and be a badass character. Why cant yall stop giving hints

Keiji

She actually becomes a vengeful zombie. It’s very tragic.

TheSauceGuy

Bill Nye The Sauce Guy lol. And yeah, Star Wars has gone way downhill since Disney acquired it.

JJ

its definitely not as bad as they are expecting. just compared to how careful the earlier seasons were crafted, it doesnt hold up, especially on rewatches. on a first watch it will be more than fine for them

khalidz

house of dragon was good , but nothing can come close to game of thrones even with the last seasons

JJ

loved how before they saw this show they didnt understand how it could be better than HotD. and while its good, the dialogue doesnt come close, the characters don’t come close

MagicSquirrel

We usually get two episodes back to back. Not this time ? :/

🦇

In the last few weeks the uploads usually happened on wednesday. So i think they will give us one more tonight.:)

G

Have you guys watched walking dead ?

Alex

did they react to blue eyed samurai?

Madison

the journey left is actually INSANE i am so excited

Alex

jaquen hgar😍😍😍

Goat

@Buffy Summers I think I know which one it is and completely agree 👀

Afra

Socorro Viernes

Sansa defender till I die...I think y'all forget she's a young girl with no one to trust in kingslanding so I don't think it's fair to judge her for that and her choices also with Catelyn I don't think you would understand unless you're a woman or a mother that would do anything for their children or someone they love

Ana

@Caraxes if she didn't let the king slayer go they were gonna kill him 🤦🏾‍♀️ and then Sansa would have been killed and Robb's most valuable hostage would have still been lost. Or we not watching the same show? Let's keep it a buck. Ned is the reason his family is in this situation. Unfortunately he didn't know how to play the game

JJ

who cares we all saw it they arent fragile

jblakk

Wait til HoTD Seasons 3-4. I think people will change their minds a bit.

Dani

season 7 is not bad guys, it's actually really good. season 8 is the only season most people would agree is bad, the rest is pretty good.

Watch One Piece

I like how people are defending Sansa by saying, "well she is an ordinary girl, all girls were like that at that age." That's great, doesn't mean we have to like her. In a world of dragons and faceless assassins, we're supposed to like the ordinary 12 year old girl?

Dani

Season 8 was bad but 7 is definitely not.

Jessica

Bruh got still is gonna be better. It’s just something about it, it can’t compare but hotd is great and has a finished story already so it’s gonna be full circle

JJ

disagree as a rewatch person. a first watch perspective I think they will agree with this

Laladybug

Will you react to some house of the dragon interviews/behind the scenes?

Azmaing1

Season 7 was as bad as season 8, only it wasn't the final season so hype made people blind

Becca

The Daenerys take is 😬 the woman had dragon dreams, walked into fire unharmed and rebirthed dragons after they’d been gone for hundreds of years, she also survived some horrific ordeals and went from basically 0 power to what she has by the end of season 2 and you guys are saying she’s too confident in her self? And comparing her to brother… bruh

Becca

If Rob or Jon snow had done any of the things dany has by this point in the show you guys would be praising the hell out of them

Becca

Real i love these guys reactions but sometimes i wish there was a woman watching with them because some of their takes are very male brained😭

Socorro Viernes

No one said that you had to like her I admit when I first watched the show I thought she was annoying, I just think it's harsh to call her an idiot when she's a 13/14 yr old rn so she's not going to be some genius manipulator compared to the 40 yr old adults that have been around that kind of environment for way longer

Caraxes🐐DT

Eh we can guess all we want but we don’t know if he woulda died lol she didn’t even try to get loyal men to wait for rob she just went on to let him go for her own reasons in the end but yea it’s Ned fault to a extent but you could blame many people not just Ned tbh

Ana

@Caraxes those men was definitely gonna kill Jaime. Let's not act like it wasn't gonna happen. Then Tywin would have really turnt up. She made a decision that could save her daughter. Who wouldn't do the same? And everything that has happened so far has been Ned's fault because Ned is not the brightest person. Ned's biggest mistake that led him to his downfall was going south. He had plenty of times to say no. He had plenty of reasons to leave when he got there. Ned being nosey is what caused this. Robert having bastards is not a secret especially in the book so why he so hung on it? Ned didn't listen to Renly. Ned had plenty of opportunities to go home and stay out of it. Ned told Cersei that he knew about her children another huge mistake. Ned mistakes is bigger than what Catelyn has done. I love Ned but his honor and stupidity is what got us here. Yeah Catelyn is terrible for treating Jon wrong but to say she made so many dumb mistakes when she only made one is crazy. And that's more towards the original comment not you

jblakk

They dont even know what Dragon dreams are bruh lol be serious. They praised her by the end of the episode once she backed up her claims and proved everyone wrong. But prior to that, she WAS talking crazy, being confident while having no gold, no ships and a tiny army, even Jorah doubted her confidence. Dany is cool because she proves people wrong not because youre supposed to think shes great from the jump. You dont need to blindly back her like this and demand people look at her like they look at other characters. They criticize Jon ALL THE TIME. Before Robb had won anything they were fearful of him and scared about his confidence too. Then he bested Jaime and Tywin and responded by sayng they won nothing. (A humble move) You cant compare Robb and Dany. Their feats are different, their flaws are different.

Ana

Dany is definitely arrogant. They're not wrong. We can't bring in what we know. Keep it on season 2 and where we're at now. Anything outside of that is irrelevant. This is their first watch

Alexa

I respect Sansa's survival instincts. She isn't a tactical genius, nor is she brave. She's just trying to survive long enough to escape back to her family. She doesn't want to take any chances with someone like the Hound. We as the viewer can see it would have been the right choice, but Sansa is choosing what seems safest to her. That's what trauma does to most people. We stay in constant fight or flight mode until we feel safe. I relate to Sansa more than any character, as a girl who grew up around adults that I couldn't trust.

Mahti

Season 7 is worse than the earlier seasons, but it's still reeally good. Season 8 is a massive disappointment and a huge drop in quality but I still enjoyed at least 80% of it

RogueReptilian

Theyre right tho, at least at this point in the story. The way Dany handled qarth for most of the season was...not great. She redeemed it in the end tho when it felt like she could actually back up her arrogance unlike earlier in the season

Mahti

She only made one tiny mistake of capturing Tyrion which then led to her husband dying, her losing most of her children and all her people going into a war against the king. Whoopsie daisy. Aaaand she released Jaime who they sacrificed thousands of men to capture

Richard Jacobsen

To be fair, she really isn't in a position to play the game. Maybe if she got married to Joffrey faster, she could have stopped the war.

Watch One Piece

You thought she was annoying because she is annoying, you all need to stop trying to convince people to like her. Anytime they criticize or say they don't like Sansa, a bunch of people come out of woodworks trying to convince them to like her lol. She's unlikable and that's why people don't like her. Saying she's only 12 years old or whatever doesn't fix her being an unlikable character.

Dean Cyphers

What does male brained mean? Nearly all reactors I’ve seen watching this show are males and they were perfectly capable of sympathizing and understanding Sansa’s plight 🤷🏼‍♂️

k

ur the one who seems to not be able to handle the fact that people can like sansa and find her annoying or naive but still understand where shes coming from and not cast her off as dumb. nobody ive seen has been forcing the guys to like her, theyre just offering their own opinion on the things they’ve said about her which we’re all entitled to do. disagreements and differing opinions are guaranteed with reaction channels, thats natural and doesnt mean anyone is being negative !!

Alexa

Her confidence isn't what is the problem for me, it was always that bit of a ruthless streak. That is what reminds me she is in fact a Targaryen

Emily P

Something that I feel like could have been explained better in the show is that Theon is quite literally a hostage. If his father rebelled against the crown again, Ned Stark would have to execute Theon in turn on behalf of the crown. I imagine that knowing your pseudo-family may one day have to execute you through no fault of your own would be really tough mentally. Theon has felt the headman's axe hanging over his head for his entire life.

Lydia

We're already on season 3!!! From here starts the ascent to the peakkkkk

Watch One Piece

You forgot to mention that she got her wolf killed, got her dad to dishonor himself and still get killed, fall blindly in love with a sadist and turn on her family (until they kill her dad), hasn't tried to escape even when multiple people offer her a way out effectively ruining the Stark's war effort. Jaime got set free because she continues to passively be a hostage and her mom is as dumb as she is and set Jaime free. Ohh and almost forgot the most important one, treating her family and those who care for her like shit. But hey, she manipulated Joffrey once or twice lol so I guess that makes it even.

aubrey

people wonder why sansa didnt trust baelish immediately when the last two times baelish teamed up with the starks he betrayed them and set them up hahaha

ssj4rit

Fr lol, like she basically thinks everyone in King’s Landing is an enemy and if she slips up once she’s done for. Not even a bad approach to take tbh

Zoro’s Enma!

It’s 2am I should probably sleep but trust I’ll be here waiting idc if yall don’t drop ep1, ill be awake until yall drop 😤 HAVE A GREAT DAY 👊🏽

JaJa

Someone is in the kitchen cooking 😏

Watch One Piece

Damn, you're so smart. Apparently Ned being a dumbass somehow absolves Sansa. Did Ned force her to be snobbish and unlikable too? She instantly got a crush on Joffrey and begged Ned to marry him, and still had feelings for him after he showed his sadistic tendencies. What she should have done is try to escape so she isn't used as a hostage, and if she couldn't escape, then as a last resort, kill herself so that she couldn't be used to hurt her family. But hey, apparently being a willing hostage is much more likeable lol.

Blackeyedlily

Since this Season is now finished, I really want to recommend that you guys consider reading the second book in the series titled A Clash of Kings. With both Seasons One and Two there are absolutely no spoilers for the future seasons. You can read those two books after the corresponding season with no worries about future spoilers. And there are some specific reasons that I particularly recommend the second book. The show made some significant story changing decisions to some of your favorite characters. And I think it particularly diminished the storylines for Jon, Robb and Daenerys. In the case of both Jon and Robb, I think the story runners thought that they had such handsome young actors playing those roles that they wanted to play up the potential romance aspect for both characters in this second season, expecting audiences would love that. For Jon in particular it really weakened his character in contrast to the book version. While Jon’s encounter with Ygritte in the book still results in his not executing her, he doesn’t run after her and try to recapture her. He doesn’t get separated from Quoran Halfhand and his band of Rangers. This results in a much better story for Jon IMO, as his journey continues with the Halfhand. He isn’t responsible for getting the other Rangers killed, the way the show hints at. And while he pretty much ends up in the same position at the end of both the book and the season, his book storyline has him coming off much better. And it’s just more interesting. I really think you guys would enjoy it. This season is also the weakest one for Daenerys compared to her book story. I think this is primarily because the show runners had a tough time trying to figure out how to portray her story in Qarth. But it is very different from the show. Some people don’t like her chapters in Qarth, but I really enjoy them. That whole segment of her story comes across like a fairytale. And in the end she comes to realize that Qarth itself is very much an illusion. While I understand why you all enjoyed her scenes in the final episode, it doesn’t compare with that chapter in the book. Her visit to the House of the Undying is probably the most magic filled chapter in the entire series so far. And it is chock full of prophecies and symbolism. Plus the complaint you all had about Daenerys acting so entitled this season (which is a common complaint about her this season) is very different from her book behavior. In the book she doesn’t go around demanding or threatening people in Qarth the way she does in the show this season. As far as Robb’s story goes, the changes from book to show don’t have a huge impact on Robb himself this season. Just know that those changes are not minor ones. And they will have a more significant impact on Robb’s story as it goes forward. To sum up my comments, I really think that you guys would enjoy the greater depth of character for these three key characters that the book would give you. It would also add additional dimensions to Tyrion and the King’s Landing story, as well as Stannis, Davos and Melisandre. And if the idea of sitting down with the book doesn’t appeal to you, the audiobook is a great listen that you can do at anytime. BTW, the narrator of the audiobooks is the actor who played the pyromancer/alchemist wildfire creator this season.

Dakota

man Mckays face when Dany was walking through the throne room in King's Landing lmao

Sara

I think the reason why Danaerys has come off as "arrogant" ig is because she's a known as a "true Targaryen". The "true Targaryens" have that arrogant and hot-headed trait but also have great leadership and fighting skills as well as great relationships with their dragons. Daemon (HOTD) was also like that in the books (Fire and Blood), though in the show he comes off as more immoral, as well as Aegon the Conqueror, etc. So I'd say its just in her blood lol.

lola

Listen… seasons 7-8 are NOT that bad. They are 10000% better than all the mediocre and hyped up shows on Netflix/Hulu/HBO combined BUT they are not AS good as the first 6 seasons. GOT is a class of its own so that’s why people complain because our expectations were based off prior seasons. But there’s still A LOT to look forward to that was executed really well in 7-8. Don’t be discouraged.

Em

Please get it out of your minds that seasons 7 & 8 aren’t good. They were rushed but they’re still AMAZING.

Jsjdifjfjfjrjkeowkhdhf

Carter's hot takes always has something to argue with by the rest of the baes... sometimes lol

Lydia

Same! But the good thing is people have hammered how bad it is, so the geks won’t think it’s as bad automatically lol plus all the seasons make for insane reactions

Gobbo

there were moments that were cool but overall those seasons were far from amazing. At least that is my opinion having watched it week to week when it was being released.

Josh

GOT Season Rankings IMO: 4>3>6>5>2>1>>>7>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>8 I actually think the consistent quality starts to go a downhill slightly after season 4, but some of the episodes and moments in S5/S6 are just soooo legendary that it makes me love em even more than the earlier seasons

Gnarlybudz

Having seen this show many times. I’m confident Ramsey was probably the horn blower annoying Theon

Chad-gon Targaryen

Can we talk about what Dany did to Doreah? Basically condemned her to a death in darkness likely involving being raped by Xaro and then beaten to death and eaten by Xaro. I don’t even think anything Joffrey has done is anywhere near that EVIL.

Blake

It’s funny you guys said that season 7 and 8 get bad because they ran out content but it’s actually the opposite, they tried to condense a bunch of content and end the show too quickly

A_Daddy Daichi

That’s why I said she’s learning. I thunk the war would have happened regardless

Caleb

No it definitely is bad television, season 7 and 8 completely disregard any sort of cohesive story telling

Marlon

they're awful and if you can't see how much damage they did to the overall story, characterisation, dialogue, and internal logic of the show then you're blinded by fandom

Marlon

HOTD is a million times better than season 7&8 bro what

Marlon

very true, also with the production value going up they still somehow managed to lose all the high quality costumes from earlier seasons lol

JJ

basically the only flaw is the writing. but the acting, visuals, set work.. literally everything else remains peak

JJ

2 and 1 being below 5 and 6 is hilarious

JJ

why do yall feel comfortable talking about future things like the geks don’t read this

Josh

Yeah well as I said, I don't think 5 and 6 are actually more well made or higher 'quality' than 1 and 2, it's just that 5 and 6 have the massive advantage of being at a point in the story where there's a bunch of payoff, due to the brilliance of the foundation built in earlier seasons I think this way for a lot of series

Daenerys Targaryen

McKay's glance to the camera at 45:32 😶❤️

Anna

Well to be fair it isn’t actually hindsight thing this time!! Y’all can be pretty harsh on Sansa even though she’s just a child, any move could mean death so she’s basically stuck in place from fear. Whereas Theon is being a rat left and right, on purpose, getting characters we love killed and yall are still able to see things from his perspective and want better for him. I get empathizing with Theon btw bc I do too!! l just think it’s interesting to not empathize more with Sansa as well? She grew up thinking everyone was as honorable as her dad and brothers and now that she knows that’s not true she has no clue where to turn or who to trust. That seems reasonable to me 🧐 don’t get me wrong it’s frustrating for sure but not more than what any other characters are doing and she seems to catch the most flack for it is all we are saying

Chad-gon Targaryen

For casual viewers who can turn their brain off (or never had it on to begin with) seasons 7 and 8 aren’t that bad. It’s on a rewatch where the flaws really start to show.

Heyangel

Aw poor Jack. I still get excited and hype over scenes on rewatches purely because there’s so much content and you do genuinely forget smaller plot lines and scenes. And it’s such an epic show it’s hard not to get sucked in again and again.

Gnarlybudz

Ramsey’s name was already mentioned by this point. We know it’s his garrison surrounding Winterfell.

S Moonchild

it is still watchable and entertaining in terms of graphics and stuff. Some tv shows are so boring, you can't even watch it. But yes, it is a huge downgrade to the level of the show

Paul

true except like the last 2 episodes. others still had some good moments

ShanB

this is exactly right. bad by game of thrones standards is not equal to bad by typical "good" netflix/hulu series standards. 7&8 still better than lots of "#1 series" on netflix by far.

lola

Season 6 is actually my fav season… but I completely agree with your take. Dialogue in 3-4 are peak, visuals and acting are peak in 5-6. Everything else is good but it’s really like all kinda equal to me except for 8… 8 was just TOO rushed but there were moments I enjoyed especially visually.

NMP

it really depends. if you’re bought into the direction the show started going down around 6-7 then its not that bad. but if you remember and go back to how good the show was at its peak then yes its trash in comparison

tp

But even besides that, she's making objectively good decisions now 😭 what she learnt from Ned's death is to not trust the people in King's Landing. And the viewers know even better than her that Littlefinger isn't trustworthy

tp

Capturing Tyrion didn't lead to Ned dying. The only mistake she made when capturing Tyrion was taking him to the Eyrie, but she didn't know how cuckoo Lysa had become lol

Adri

I understand Jack I always forget things that have happened in shows I’ve watched I have a terrible memory haha

Em

Relax, just trying to stay positive so they have a great experience. The constant whining about 7&8 does nothing at all to enhance their experience. Let them come to their own conclusions.

Em

Compared to other seasons, I would agree…compared to other tv shows, still amazing 😊

lola

I think it’s a little weird that you stole my pfp not gonna lie…

Heyangel

Umm, not sure if you’re joking or serious, but I got this from my meme folder that I got from Twitter forever ago. but heyyyyy pfp twin if you are joking 🤣

Michael H

It was wild Jack calling Sansa an idiot for not trusting Littlefinger—the guy who basically makes a hobby of betraying Starks

LullaBelle

“He’s not a Targaryen.” Did you forget what Rhaenyra’s oldest sons looked like? They too took the dark hair of their father.

tp

I think they'd die of suffocation before everything you're imagining could come to pass

LuvStarburst

i binged all of season 2 this morning, part of it was when I was at work last night. tomorrow I'll start season 3 and hopefully I'll be caught up by the end of the week.

kiiturii

as someone who just finished reading a clash of kings a few days ago, agreed whole heartedly. The book also gives Sansa a lot more context as to why she's doing certain things, and makes a lot clearer how little she wants to be in kings landing.
