Next season is much better in my opinion. Follows a story and doesn't jump around a lot. Despite many people hating on it.

I’ve rewatched s1 at least 10 times it aged so well and really never gets old. It’s a shame s2 animation is a significant downgrade but at least the story and characters are just as good if not better than s1. Even tho s3 has the same staff as 2, from the trailer it looks like they improved the art and animation a lot so I have super high hopes for 3.

Season 2 has less animation budget, but focuses way more on story, so while it doesn't look as crazy I still really enjoy season 2. It just had a bunch of people trash it because of the animation comparisons to season 1 but it still has good fights in its own right. I remember cracking up laughing multiple times in season 2 as well so the comedy is top tier.

Love the reaction as always! Just a heads up for season 2: dont be too disappointed on the animation - cuz trust me we all did at some point but hey thats what happens when projects get passed around between studios w different budgets. The story gets better and introduces a lot of cool characters —— which makes up for the drop in animation quality.

So bummed mappa or wit arent doing One Punch Man so that turnout could be quicker. Arcs 3-5 in the manga are SOOOOO good. And they arent even animated yet... One punch man and Berserk are the only two shows where I genuinely think the manga is as good as the anime if not better experience-wise. Glad yall love the show though!

Most anime have similar budgets and as stated by the character designer of S1 it had an average budget. The problem was J.C Staff had a very short deadline which not only affects the quality directly but also makes it harder to get animators on the show.

I really hope you guys find a way to react to the blu-ray version. The ghosting and dimming in season 2 ruins so many actually well animated scenes.

Thanks for saying it’s a significant downgrade instead of just straight up saying it sucks. Because people compare s2 to s1 they often say stuff like that even though the animation isn’t trash like they say, just mediocre. On some parts here and there it’s even good.

I like S2 better, story-wise, and good animation is highly appreciated, but it's not a factor for me, believe me, I've watched some questionable anime lol Glad that you guys enjoyed S1, exited for S2!!!

You guys should definitely watch the One Punch Man: Road to Hero OVA. It's basically like a Saitama backstory episode! Ideally the best time to watch it would be before season 2.

I like Puri-Puri, but is he in prison for more “meeting with HR” kind of stuff or straight up heinous stuff? The first is sort of funny, but the second is vile and I don’t understand how he could be accepted as a hero if that’s the case, even as an S-class. I know a lot of heroes do sketch stuff, but for Puri-Puri it’s kind of handled as a joke so maybe it’s not good, obviously, but not like a storyline in Law and Order SVU.
