Charlie

Ugh game of thrones 2 days in a row?? Where is the anime????

Kim555

OMGGGG this posting time is legendary for me, it’s 7pm, so dinner time

Anna J

Bruh I just watched 5x5, this is amazing, pls continue with this tempo lol

Mike Lew

This episode 🤢

lola

YESSSSSS… been waiting for this! Alright next up… a 4 eps binge!! 😎

Anna J

Yeah they are too good for us to wait, we need a triple threat weekend

Nivek

Crispiest Diet Coke snap of all time

A_Daddy Daichi

I just woke up. Y’all are cooking 😤

Tamara Manley

YESSS!! Just about to eat my dinner as well🙌🏾

Nomaan

Oh how interesting it is to hear the boys talking about their predictions of the ending 😂😭

Chandler Stryker

Need episode 8 asap, favorite GoT episode of the entire series! Can't wait

Ryan Ry

Lord of the Sus @Brig, dont be upset about the allegations, that is not the purpose of it. Just admit it. Be free. Be true to yourself and to your patreons. Youll be much happier for it.

Ryan Ry

Nobody cares about anime. Its made for children. Watch Frozen instead or Moana.

Sean Carroll

This was the most controversial episode of all game of thrones at the time for many reasons….. until season 8

Charlie

This whole channel started on anime so what do you mean no one cares about anime? Actually im glad they are pumping these episodes out, so this crap can end faster

Jiggy

“This dwarf lives until we find a cock merchant” is single-handedly the best piece of dialogue in the entire series

Ali

You guys really need to watch Koruko's Basketball... the basketball references are insane. And you all will find yourselves some new 🐐s.

Bri-Ana Monique

Fingers crossed we go back to 3 episodes a week soon 🥹🤞🏽

Hannah

This is always a hard watch poor Sansa🥲

Nope

Dude everywhere you go in these comments you keep posting negativity we all know you hate these next 4 seasons but it's become so annoying to read the comments with all the negativity.. You gotta chill.. like saying it 1000 time isnt gonna make the later shows better. I accept the criticism and I mostly agree but you don't gotta make it your whole personality there are still some nice moments in these seasons so let people enjoy.

Niffol

This episode marks teh beginning of the end. Its ALMOST all down hill from here buds. buckle up.

Amna 🍉

Correct me if I'm wrong but i'm pretty sure Theon was wearing Robb's outfit from the Red Wedding

jason 𒉭

the fact that they waited til sansa actress was 18 to flim that is actually insane

Dryden Tyler

Kinky upload in 2 days. Bad episode but pog schedule

tp

I hate the Dornish plot in the show 😭 and Baelish marrying Sansa off to Ramsay really makes no sense lol. In the books Ramsay actually marries Sansa's childhood friend Jeyne Poole, who everyone is passing off as Arya Stark.

Shadow

Let’s gooooo. Another lunch time GOT drop. Gek goated

Amna 🍉

"She's taller than him" THIS COMMENT TOOK ME RIGHT OUT😂💀

Amna 🍉

Dorne plot is a W in the books

Niffol

Yes Even the bad seasons of Thrones are still good television. mostly. BUT!! They are not good seasons of Thrones. Take note of how much you guys sounds disappointed right now. Not even Carter will be able to glass half full his way through his feelings after S8 lol

Alex

🤐

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Say what you want but Joffrey the Gentle would never let anyone disrespect Margery as his queen (that is if he'd still like her)

Nomaan

Carter talking about the actors of Ramsay and Theon wasn’t another movie😭 it was the Game of Thrones musical by Coldplay which u guys should react to😂

Maria

I wonder if anime reactions would even exist if game of thrones never happened

jblakk

I hope everyone else is like you. Comments could get really spoilery if they dont mind themselves.

Marcusinmilw

This episode infuriates me more than any other episode of the series. The backlash when it first aired was crazy, and rightly so. There was absolutely NO need for the final scene with Sansa and Ramsey. It served no purpose whatsoever. It did not further develop a character and it not help to advance any plot. What was the point? To show us that Ramsey is a vicious, cruel, evil monster? We already knew that!! No matter how many times I see this episode or watch a reaction to it, it still makes my blood boil every single time. F**k you, Ramsey! DRACARYS!! 😡🤬👊

Kneegrow

Let’s goooooo perfect timining boys rolling de zootaroni

Kite

I hate this episode 😔

Marcusinmilw

56:03 I am totally with McKay. The entire Sand Snake and Dorne story is a huge part of what makes me dislike this season. It’s so lame and boring. The Braavos story does not help either, nor does the High Sparrow crap. I think season 5 as a whole is pretty much trash except for the final three episodes.

jblakk

Tyrions "guess again" is probably the most immature thing that makes me holler into laughter everytime.

Icchi

I’m not a genius, just reminding you they’re 2 different stories, comparing them won’t do any good

Kite

not only for that Sansa scene that's super sad, but also the Dorne arc is kinda ass IMO and all the high sparrow stuff sometimes doesn't make any sense

Amanda Reutermo

my guys— we're getting to that point in the show where 75% of the comments are people complaining about what's going on in the show, and I for one would maybe say that it's better to stay out of reading the comments for now. I honestly miss being excited about checking the comments after watching the upload to see what people had to say about the episode. sure, there's always been negativity in the comments about the downgrade in writing in future episodes, but it's off the charts now and I don't get why people think it's so incredibly important to remind everyone how much they think the show sucks now. just let the geks watch what they want to watch and enjoy it in their own way? touch some grass, put on some noise-cancelling headphones and scream whatever uninteresting remarks you have about how everything sucks now into the void because it's getting tiring seeing it in the comments everytime I'm excited for a new upload by the guys.

TheSauceGuy

George Reek's Redemption Martin

clémence

I agree, the comment section these days is always so negative and the "In the books…" terrorists are getting annoying. On top of that these people are constantly repeating things that have been said a 100 times already 😴

jblakk

Besides Tommen being a kid, he was also told by Tywin (Tywins last advice to him) to follow orders and learn to be counciled by listening to his advisors. He has none, and if he did, it would be Cercei and the High Sparrow. That plus him being a kind person lead to him being a pretty tentative person who doesnt commit to decisions.

Kim555

you guys should seriously have yellow low ambient lighting to set the mood, I don't think anyone cares for the bright white studio lighting. As long as you're clear and there then it's great

Wilson

The show changed the majority of the Dorne/Sand Snakes plot for the worst. Believe or not it was actually a pretty good arc in the books, but cut characters/D&D changed that

kyle

from next episode until the end of season 6 is where GoT really hit it's stride that helped popularize it into what it is today. this stretch is filled with the best moments in the show, especially season 6. as much as i have issues with D&D, i think they did a really good job at continuing the show even while running out of source material. then everything kinda derails imo but this stretch is great

Leo

Can you guys release back to back episodes till E10 and then take your own time to start new season 😉

Scinaps

Something needs to be done about the brightness levels, show is too dark while the boys are too bright, it strained my eyes not gonna lie

Leo

S5E10 bought the surreal hype to the show.

Kim555

Omg same cause I watch in the dark. It kinda hurts my eyes sometimes

TheSauceGuy

Did they not catch Baelish subtly boasting about how he knows about Cersei and Jaime's relationship? He gave such a smug look too lol.

jblakk

Also I think the writing for the faith militant stuff is clunky. But it actually has precedent in the lore. The faith militant in the Targaryran era used to be uber influential and powerful, and Maegor the cruel took their powers away and forbade them from holding weapons ever again. So Cercei reinstating their weapons was breaking 200+ years of balance. They took away their weapons for a reason, and once its given back to them theyre the strongest entity in kings landing.

Lady Stoneheart (UnCat)

I don't see 75% at all. I think people should learn to let different people exist and scroll past what you dislike. It's literally like 3 comments I saw saying this is it, then some valid criticisms mixed with pluses about the show, then the rest are pretty straight postive/not about the show, but channel, sooooooo.... maybe what bothers you most just stands out most to you. I tend to notice how many comments criticizing the critical comments, because they irk me the most. We all got stuff.

TheSauceGuy

Jaime is in a guard's uniform and Trystane doesn't notice something's up until he sees the blood lol

TheSauceGuy

Olenna is such a fun character

Teri M

I remember when this episode came out, there was a bit of an uproar over the rape scene. I feel so badly for Sansa and everything she has been through.

A_Daddy Daichi

My poor Sansa ❤️‍🩹

Seth Aasland

i think we should talk more about stuff that happens in the immediate reaction for an episode, rather than talk about the overall quality of the show. we don’t want to tarnish their experience

A_Daddy Daichi

1000% agreed. It’s better this way so I hope everyone jumps on board for a better experience here on out

TheSauceGuy

Cannon, Maegor the Cruel destroyed the power of the Faith of the Seven in Westeros. Before that point, the Faith could have dedicated armed knights and soldiers. One of these groups was the Warrior's Sons (they look sick). During his rule, Maegor made it so they could not be militarized, but Cersei undid this. The Faith Militant of Cersei's time is far weaker than that of the past.

Roy Koopa

I won’t be ‘that guy’. But even the Cersei-Margery plot, which is one of the better plots in this season, is still so much better and deeper in the book. They cut so much of it out and change so much of it that it really doesn’t feel like it makes sense in places.

TheSauceGuy

The name of the episode is crazy

TheSauceGuy

The Dornish plotline in the show is why this episode is rated so poorly

Jsjdifjfjfjrjkeowkhdhf

The Dorne scene is like watching a CW show. lol Carter that's funny

Roy Koopa

That’s what’s so annoying about it. The Dorne stuff is some of the best stuff in the books. I can’t explain my disappointment when I saw what they did to it in the TV show.

Roy Koopa

Whereas your comments are of course completely new and entirely original.

mk

What you guys need is the misbehaving cat

Chrisiyyi

I agree with end discusion, people need to understand that the little folk are dispising the crown because of all events that been and are behind the faith, Tommen does not want to do anything as he is also scared that he will do something wrong and it causes alot of people in the city to rebel. You could see it the first time he went to the sept and everyone was yelling insults at him. He does not know what to do as he is also super inexperienced. The faith has so much power now because cersei gave it to them, it hasnt been overnight even if the show depict it like that, time is always funky in shows and people seem to forget one scene to the next can be a lot longer then the show depict it.

Seth Aasland

if Ramsay only has one hater, it’s me. if Ramsay has no haters at all, i’m 6 ft under.

Shadow

The faith militant vs maegor stuff is some of my fav lore in the verse. Knowing about that definitely helps understand the faiths power

Chrisiyyi

The scene carter talks about with the 2 actors (theon and ramsay) is not a movie but a video with some of the game of thrones cast in a musical with cold play. its on youtube, its very funny one though. here is the link, not sure if the boys can watch it alr though, but maybe in the future https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs7xO5P3Az4

Riley

This is the one season that makes you miss Joffrey. He would have wiped the Faith Militant in minutes.

Paul Durbin

"Hopefully those are scented candles" hahaha

Steve

good discussion honestly. Theres still a lot to like about the show, but a nice job recognizing the flaws going on, without being overly dramatic. You guys truly are reactors 2.0, an improvement on what was here before

Nathan

I'm so glad they finally made the connections between the Mormont's.

Anna

In the books the godswood is in the center of the castle walls and everything else is built around it, but in the show it’s sort of off to the side but still connected. There is a really cool video on YouTube y’all should watch after you finish season 8 that shows what Winterfell actually looks like in the books and to say it’s badass would be woefully understated lmao. It recreates some scenes from the final season though so def wait to check it out!!

Scinaps

They heard the song "Rastafarian Targaryen" and 7 years later Velaryons in HotD were casted... coincidence much.

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

The Sansa scene has to be one of the hardest scenes to watch in the series :/ after her having 'marriage and virginity' hanging over her the whole show. People might disagree but I think she's had one of the hardest arcs, married to two monsters, having half her family killed without being able to do anything about it... She's one of my favourite characters this rewatch <3

neko

second this, I would love to have some cozy lighting

Thicc Thanos

The “movie” Carter is talking about is not a movie but Game of Thrones: The Musical with Coldplay. It’s a hilarious skit about the cast trying to make a musical and they absolutely need to react to it. I think it came out after season 5 or 6. So it won’t have spoilers beyond that point if you’re worried. https://youtu.be/zs7xO5P3Az4?si=L96_z5j8SXcfefc3

Thicc Thanos

Also, I think Tommen is just a bitch and afraid of confrontation. I don’t mean that in a bad way but he’s just a sweet kid who wants to cuddle with his cat Ser Pounce and doesn’t really have the backbone to stand up to adults even though he is the king. I think that’s just his personality and Tywin also kind of groomed him to be subservient so he could control him.

L1me Turakbai

You should pause after some crazy moments to get your emotions out. Because you can miss some important stuff, like dialogues, immediately after

Londra H

I wish y’all would drop hardhome this week but I’ll wait 😭😭😭

Nivek

Cock merchant saves the day 🤣

Lady Stoneheart (UnCat)

The reason Olenna and Margery didn't think of Oliver? is simple, they wanted to shock the viewer with a "reveal", instead of think critically about how characters would/should act. And this is why GRRM is taking so long, he actually has to adhere to character logic, not just ratings milestones. And this (to many in the comments) is why many bring up critiques ... to help frame this exact kind of viewing confusion with plot points in proper light. I would rather know it was writer hubris rather than trying to puzzle away in my brain for the rest of my life with something that just doesn't quite fit cannonicly. That holistic realism and compartmentalizing IS how some of us enjoy things.

Isabella Anderson

After the mention, you need to watch the GOT + Coldplay musical special

Sean Carroll

People can enjoy as much as they want. That doesn’t stop me from stating what I think

Sean Carroll

Only two storyline’s which are good in season 5 is Jon and Sansa/theon. The rest are trash. Especially Arya, dorne and kings landing

Sean Carroll

Watching things in the dark is terrible for your eyes. That’s your real problem

Sean Carroll

This is absolutely false. 5 and 6 are where the show overall began to drop off

Sean Carroll

People need to build mental strength and not allow peoples opinions to affect their own. Just ignore people like me who dislike 5-8. If you like it then all the more power to you

kyle

in terms of popularity it is where the show skyrocketed. the writing and overall story definitely wasn't to the quality of the first 4 seasons, but i think that helped it reach a broader audience. plus end of 5 and 6 have amazing hype TV moments that are nice payoffs. 7 is where the show actually dropped off for me bc the character writing is just unforgivably bad

Rigny la Belle

OMG, Lost is my favorite show of all time and this is in my top three, and I have never realized Mr. Echo was in it?!? Amazing character. Gotta go watch Lost now.

r stark

the season 6 finale is imo one of the best episodes in the entire show, they still have a lot to look forward to

Billie

Olenna my hijabi sister <3333 she’s the coolest 💞🧕🏻

Billie

Theon 💔💔💔💔 Alfie allen absolutely bodied this character of theon// r**k

Kim555

I don't have ambient lighting yet myself, I'm re-decorating rn 😭. Overhead lighting is so annoying

MacJordanT

Cersei: cooks The Tyrells well done. Jack: She’s so stupid x100

Mitch

I always appreciate the Lebron glaze, makes me smile every time😭

Daenerys Targaryen

The Faith Militant (the religious fanatics of Westeros) start acting up when there is a weak King/Queen on the Throne. The last time they started trouble, King Maegor (The Cruel) Targaryen burned them with Balerion, and then Jaeherys offered many of them amnesty if they disbanded the more radical sect of the Faith.

Scinaps

I've said it before look up Diana Rigg (Olena) when she's young she looks like Margery is her clone

Mysterious Figure

@Sean you mean build mental fortitude? You dont build mental fragility. Spend more time thinking before you type. The way you are annoyed with this show literally all over the place in every single comment of yours hasn't escaped anyone's notice. We get it. We GOT it. Can you say something new already that you haven't said already? The problem isn't your annoyance with the show, its that you are repeating yourself and you became the annoyance. While you're at it, edit your comment, because you sound stupid in it, which Im sure wasn't your intention.

Billie

They did well with the casting for sure since they resemble eachother a lot in the lower half of the face

Scinaps

Olena (Diana Rigg) actress bears a family resemblance in her youth to Margery. She was even a bond girl. https://youtube.com/shorts/wBhPnt-IpKY?feature=shared

cutty

God the ending of this episode makes me so sick. I still view Sansa as the little girl from season 1...

kami

I hate this episode for many reasons, for me all plots except Kings Landing are terrible. I think this episode marks the total decline of the show

daisy

48:32 Mckay saying “I hate that dress” lmaooo ☠️

kami

When we finally think that all that suffering will pay off, it goes back to the same cycle

lola

Says this meanwhile the highest rated TV episode of all time is in season 6 😭💀

Ryan Woods

At the end the Clip of Ramsey and Theon's actors is actually from a GoT charity musical video. It's actually pretty entertaining.

Charlie Bronson

I've gone through and just blocked the annoying bitches who spend hours complaining about the show. Its made the comment section much better lol

lola

So it’s not entirely a weird plot hole that the King suddenly “loses” his power. The faith is equally as important as the monarchy. Both are the pillars of the seven kingdoms. You can say that the faith doesn’t hold political power, but more so social power. They are able to sway the opinions of the common people. One thing this show didn’t do as well was showing just how important the faith was to the realm. The issue is that the high septon who was in charge of running as head of the faith of the seven, previously, was able to be controlled by the king. This new high septon is a lot more radical and cannot be swayed by the opinions of others. His words and actions would hold more power than those of a king seeing as he is highly favored. The king only holds the power the people give him. If a million inhabitants were to protest against the king and the “perversions” of his family, well it would be bad. He would never win that fight. That’s why he needs to heed council and make sure not to encourage more hate towards the crown. He has to be in good standing with the faith, unfortunately.

Anna

Olenna calling Cersei a tart while staring unblinkingly into her eyes 🤣 I wish I could thank her

Amna 🍉

This is truly where I started hating the writers because why change Sansa's arc for the worst. We FINALLY see her starting to play the game in season 4 only for the writers to changer her arc and make her go through more trauma for "shock value". Also, it’s the way that the showrunners have known Sophie Turner since she was 13 years old when she was cast, watched her grow up, and the moment she turned 18, had a rape scene written up for her to act out. A scene that does not happen within the canon of the books nor does it make sense politically for Littlefinger to set up.

Ophelia

I’ve seen a lot of people saying to watch GOT histories and lore on other eps or something like that? I don’t know what that is but what is it called/where can I watch it

Mike A

King didn't lose power. If joffry was around he would have had the city guard slaughter all the fanatics and he'd probably torture/kill the high sparrow as well lol. Tommen is just young and innocent. He wouldn't think about ordering his guards to slaughter priests. He prays to the gods and probably thinks the church knows what they are doing and are doing the gods work.

kyllo

Season 5 is worse in my opinion than 7 or 8

Seth Aasland

orrrrrrrr people could just keep their grievances with the show to themselves, and let someone else determine for themselves, without their experience of the show be tainted by others, how they think of it. like the other commenter who replied to you, we are keenly aware of your distaste for some of the seasons, and we simply ask you to not go overboard, and keep some of your criticisms to yourself.

Caraxes🐐DT

It’s on YouTube and just type in game of thrones histories and lore….it’s different actors talking about different things and they got them for season 1-8.

Mitch Krueger

So close to one of the best episodes in the entire show. Season 5 is so much better than it gets credit for.

Caraxes🐐DT

You being a hater at this point Sean lmao season 6 literally got some of the best episodes and THE best episode in the series

Griffin

Those two comments back to back is hilarious.

Amna 🍉

The next episodes are about to be GOATED

darist

Never seen anyone describe it that way but a CW show is the most accurate description I've heard for any of the Dorne scenes lol

Ashley K

The last scene with Sansa and Theon made me tear up 😢

Lydia

you are absolutely correct, ever since GOT started on this channel the comments have taken a nosedive into negativity, which is so ironic cause all these people joined for GOT...like make it make sense

A_Daddy Daichi

Ahh Sean is back at it again I see. I’m so glad I never have to read what he says again cause he caught that block

jasmin

putting the more obvious stuff like being responsible for the starvation and death of countless innocent people and babies to the side imma need the cersei stans to speak up and say something about what she did to loras right here

myron

nah theres really good episodes and amazing scenes

1999

“You’ve known Sansa since she was a girl now watch her become a woman” has to be one of the wildest lines in the entire show

ssj4rit

Idk how to explain this well but in s1-4 you could tell characters were thinking 4-5 moves ahead and there was an intricate push and pull of decision making. Starting s5 it seems characters just look 1 move ahead, like the Dorne plot is so superficial and has no depth at all.

karma license

Not sure if someone already mentioned this here, but the Theon/Ramsay confrontation that Carter mentioned was actually from Game of Thrones the Musical by Coldplay. Check it out on Coldplay's Youtube channel. ^_^

Sora

sad to start seeing some of the weird stuff start happening... good luck with the final seasons guys XD

angela a

mckay saying he hates sansa’s wedding dress is sooo real 😭😭

Arctic_stark

Oh how I wish one of the upcoming prequel series goes into how the Targaryens got rid of the Faith Militant the first time...

Zechree

mckay's face is killing me in the intro, buddy was struggling

Caraxes🐐DT

It’s the best episode in the show imo lol also season 6 got some of the best episodes for sure so idk why people weird about it

Caraxes🐐DT

None of what you mentioned is anime lol also stop being weird the channel literally got popular off anime 🤣

Sean Carroll

Worst line in the show is “and who has a better story then **** *** ******

JAY

Ok I saw the comments about the Coldplay GOT skit that cannon inadvertently referenced but I couldn’t find one of those comments to respond to now . Just here to say I somehow never knew it existed?? But just watched it and it’s so good and wholesome I love this cast so much 😭

JAY

Didn’t know I could love Kit Harington more than I already do 🥵

Arthur Fields

The reason Theon used his real name, not Reek, at the wedding was probably for legal reasons. Maybe he's like a witness to the marriage, and the documentation has to have real names.

lola

Ughhhh kit… love that man… I miss him

Jessica

You are not ready for the next 4 episodes

Alec Antoci

Season 7 is short too :(

Alec Antoci

Yall should consider watching this show with the lights off it’s impossible to see some scenes

nymeria

if this is the last of the got uploads for the week then next week drops about to hit harder than crack let me turn on their post notifications again

Caraxes🐐DT

You don’t mean he’s a bitch in a bad way? Lol bruh he like 12 or some shit

Thicc Thanos

Relax I just meant he is a completely bitch made little pussy ass bitch(but not in a bad way). Lots of people in real life are like that and would never fight and are afraid of confrontation. there’s nothing wrong with that. It just means he’s one of the most normal characters on the show. Lots of characters in GOT are cartoonishly crazy, evil or willing to die and shit but Tommen just wants to chill and play with Ser Pounce. Relatable!

Anna

Game of Thrones is largely based on The War of the Roses and some of the parallels are just so good. Definitely worth looking into when y’all finish! Lancaster and York = Lannisters and Starks etc. As a history nerd it’s so fun trying to see who represents who

Maria

I love seeing the history influence too! There are other inspirations I would like to discuss but would get too spoilery. Maybe later🤓

Jed

I hate how passive Tommen is. I know he is a kid and isnt a strong willed person but man letting these bums just imprison your soon to be brother in law your wife is CRAZY. Just wish he had more of a backbone🤷‍♂️

Anna

Yes exactly!!! And some of the parallels are bc of personality and not what happens to them so it’s def better to wait before diving in otherwise it would be so confusing 🤣

BipolarKitten

I want more GOT. Shame🔔Shame🔔Shame🔔

Isabell

sean each to their own but your hate comments are starting to get really annoying...like geez you don't have to watch it but let us enjoy the show at least

Sean Carroll

Lola: neither of the two episodes you might be referring to are the highest rated tv episode of all time. Breaking Bads ozymandias is the highest. Also attack on titan had like 5 episodes rated higher before the insane review bombing by one piece fans

Sean Carroll

I will not be quiet Billie, trying to help a guy out of his vision problem

Sean Carroll

Season 6 has two incredible episodes with a lot of poor/average episodes throughout. There are major writing issues that are in season 6 but normies ignore that because two episodes apparently overshadow an entire season of writing issues

Sean Carroll

Don’t really care about peoples moods, I’ll say what I think regardless of backlash

Sean Carroll

Ryan needs to watch attack on titan. Anime for kids still being a talking point is wild

Daenerys Targaryen

Just be aware that the Histories and Lore for Season 5 will contain spoilers for House of the Dragon (if you're not looking to get spoiled). They tell the whole HotD story from beginning to end.

Ophelia

Oh my gosh thank you so much for this!!!!!! I definitely do not want to get spoiled for HOTD thank you Queen Dany🫶🏽🔥

Ana

The glaze for season 6 is crazy. It's a good season not great. Season 6 dialogue alone is not touching the first 4 seasons. I enjoy season 7 more than 6. The last 3 episodes of season 5 is better than season 6

Ana

All I have to say is I hate Ramsey and I hate Cersei can't wait for the next episode. Also history and lore please

Daenerys Targaryen

Anytime. I can’t remember if any other Histories and Lore contain spoilers for HotD, so to be safe I would skip any Targaryen parts of the H&L (which is a shame because those are the most entertaining lol).

BloodyBen

The Dornish plots and Greyjoy plots were absolutely butchered by the show, and soon you'll meet one of the most butchered characters

Sara

fun fact: sansa never even married ramsay in the books. That whole marriage and r@pe scene was just added by the show's writers. I guess it adds "depth" to ramsay's psychopathy, but in mine and many people's opinion, it was totally unnecessary and it just seems disgusting that they shot that scene right after the actress for sansa turned 18.

Caraxes🐐DT

I mean does he not think he married Arya in the books? Even tho it’s a fake they essentially changed the characters with Sansa lol so saying it’s unnecessary is wrong when something like this happens in the books but the rape? Yes that was unnecessary and if you meant that was the unnecessary part i apologize I thought you was saying the whole plot line.

ssj4rit

Carter saying the Dorne stuff is like a CW show is so accurate. Man I'm surprised this wasn't flamed more when it was airing.

Marquist Simms

Ifits not obvious these guys been spoiled on got lol

NoneOfYourBeeswax

If you thought the scene with Ramsay despoiling Sansa was gross then keep clear of the book version... while it features Sansa's friend posing as Arya for the marriage, it is a WAY more horrendous scene and even HBO woudn't go there...

NoneOfYourBeeswax

Ser Loras is such a fool...the squire knowing his birthmark means nothing - he's his persoonal squire ffs, knowing such personal details means little or less.

NoneOfYourBeeswax

Grrrrr Martin is not "Taking so long", he's just quit completely. And his pretending otherwise is just a slap in the face to fans like yourself who apparently still believes that he gives a damn about ASOIAF any more. He's just eating and drinking his way into the grave with the money he's already banked. Compartmentalise that if you will!

NoneOfYourBeeswax

Then how come it was kings who ruled and never a High Septon. The High Sparrow only has power because the king is a weak boy. Joffrey would have sent the Hound and a bunch of gold cloaks to seize the Sparrows and had them dipped in wildfire and lit up as festive illuminations.

The scene in the books has Sansa's best friend rather than Sansa herself, so technically it doesn't happen in the books, but to say it doesn't happen in the books at all would be somewhat disingenuous; it's like saying that Arya acting as cupbearer at Harrenhal never happens just because she is serving a different Lord in the books. There are lots of changes made in the show, but the essence remains the same. As it is, Ramsay's wedding night and Reek's attendance DOES occur in the books, let's not pretend it doesn't - and is way more horrific, beyond the bounds that even HBO would dare tread. It's understandable that people were put out by the scene, but Grrrrr Martin's recounting of that scene was way more repellent.

Histories and Lore are "must watch" companion pieces to GoT that add so much to the understanding and appreciation of Westeros, the Great Houses and... well, the history and lore. The Geckoes have made the decision not to watch them - personally I don't think their reasoning holds water, but it's their channel so they get to make the rules (and quite right). I would personally recommend every GoT viewer watch Histories & Lore, but at the end of the day, it's None of My Beeswax...

The Dorne "arc" in the books was the start of the massive bloat that was Grrrrm's undoing. He made the schoolboy error of introducing major characters and storylines halfway through the book. There's no way the TV show could have adequately dealt with the introduction of entirely new storylines; they couldn't even deal with what they already had, especialy with Martin already failing on his contractual obligations to provide the books as basis for the show.

Bronn’s singing, random fact about Jerome Flynn. I’m the UK in the mid 90s he was in a duo ‘Robson and Jerome’ who gained fame from a popular uk show and got a record deal. They released cover songs such as ‘Unchained Melody’ which was the biggest selling single of the year and had number one singles and albums 😂

Sara

I technically meant the rape but yea the plot doesn’t make sense for them to marry Sansa too. Ig it would just take too much work for them to follow the books, but it just felt so wrong cause uve been watching Sansa’s journey since she was a CHILD

Nah he didn't fing quit. And I honestly dc if he doesn't care about it anymore and did quit because guess what? It's HIS passion project. As a writer myself, he didn't become a novelist for others, it's literally his personal ode and passion project to his own idols. He has absolutely zero owing to anyone but himself for his choice to create. That it got published and shared with the world, adapted to screen is a *gift* to us. There probably is a contract with his publisher to finish, but that's just bs business. As far as fans, he will never owe us anything. I was dead serious about how nuance doesn't ruin my life like others lol. But anyway, my point was about what kind of writer Grrm is, what style etc. not at all about bringing up this particular debate, which I'd have plenty more to say about.

Matthew

They were very successful, but very cheesy. Signed by Simon Cowell of all people 😂

Joe Mama

I’m late but I wanted to say Ramsey reminds me of Dennis from Its Always Sunny. Ever since I made that connection in my head I can’t not like his character (minus this episode for that unnecessary scene. I hate SA being shown in shows and movies).

Joe Mama

Nah what one of the Martell girls says to Bronn has to be the worst lol

JAY

I believe the drummer of Coldplay had a little cameo as part of the band playing the red wedding, yes. Not sure if he was just a fan and wanted to be on the show or what. Haha

Sean Carroll

We know brig got spoiled on something about season 8 (not sure what the spoiler is) jack and McKay have already seen it. Are you accusing Carter and cannon of being spoiled?

Sean Carroll

Season 6 is overhyped like crazy. 2 great episodes (with flaws of their own) don’t save a poor overall season. 6 is still better than 5 though but maybe I’ll change my mind on this rewatch

Sean Carroll

I agree it’s a bad line and just really cringe but the line I alluded to ruined the whole show for me

Caleb

Aint no way, season 6 is alot better than season 7s incoherent plot and writing

Zah

Close to Hardhome😍😍😍

Caraxes🐐DT

How don’t the plot make sense for them to marry her? She’s a daughter of the warden of the north which is very important lol it definitely makes sense just like in the book they think he’s marrying a daughter of Ned he’s doing the same in the show but this don’t make sense? Come on

Jack

The Sand Snakes/Dorne storyline has much more intrigue and potential in the books, the showrunners infamously wanted to try to rush through the show to finish at 7 seasons and initially they didn’t plan on including the sand snakes. There’s more characters. Book spoilers ahead. Prince Doran (Oberyn’s bro, the wheelchair guy) had two sons and a daughter, the daughter is eldest and is in line to inherit Dorne because Dorne is the one place that allows woman to rule. The show only includes the son who is engaged to Cersei’s daughter Myrcella. The son that isn’t included is the middle child of Doran who secretly goes to Mereen to try to convince Dany to side with the Martells, but Dany doesn’t take him seriously. So he stays there as an honored guest trying to try to convince her. He has a bold idea to try to claim one of the two dragons she has chained up, but he gets toasted and killed in his attempt. Oberyn has 7 daughters in the show and books, but in the books three of them are too young to fight while there’s four of them (not three) who are deadly and each of them use different weapons and have different traits (a lot of them have different moms as they believe in free love on Dorne and Oberyn’s 7 kids have like (give or take) 4 different moms in total. One of them is sent to Kings Landing’s court to be on the council. Oberyn’s paramour and the mother to his youngest daughters Obara actually wants peace in the books, not revenge. She saw that it was Oberyn’s choice to fight and she doesn’t want to continue the cycle of death and vengeance and she doesn’t want more death. The Sand Snakes and the daughter of Doran, who is heir to Dorne, they actually like Myrcella and don’t want to kill her but they conspire with some members of the famous pledged Houses of Dorne, including Dark Star (who is the descendant of Sir Arthur Dayne aka the Sword of the Morning aka Sir Barristans hero aka the greatest sword fighter that ever lived). The plan is to crown Myrcella is Queen since she is older than Tommen and in Dorne women can rule. But the attempt goes wrong, they are caught trying to take Myrcella like right in this episode but Dark Star slashes her in the face and flees, supposedly hacking off an ear and there’s rumors Myrcella may be dead as they try to hide her from the public to keep Cersei and the Lannisters from finding out what happened. And then thats where book 5 ends so we’ve been waiting 13 years for the 6th and 7th books to find out what happens next because George set up a whole lot with Dorne in the last book.

I’m not gonna hurt Theon, because of the implication.

Joe Mama

Give him 20 good men and you’ll know when he peaks. All of Westeros will feeeel it.

Jonesy

youre acting like its a serious fair trial. they just used what ever evidence they could to force the result they wanted

Hannah

Yeah I read somewhere that there was a lot of bestiality and other sick shit put me off reading tbh

Matt Haloostock

As other people have already said, you guys should def do a reaction to the red nose day GoT skit with Coldplay. It's where the scene with Theon and Ramsay actors is from. You get to see the actors in a new light and just having fun

Amna 🍉

It doesn't make sense for Sansa's character and what GRRM is doing with her character in the books

Fatipapi

Finally someone says it, that dress is indeed fugly

Joe Mama

Yeah it doesn’t work for the show but in the books I can see it working. It won’t be actually him though just his possessed body.

Linn

I agree with them on all the things they are critical about and I like the discussions, but I can’t help but feel that they are somewhat colored by all the comments making them extra critical and by that noticing more of the flaws. I wonder if the takes would have been the same if everyone hadn’t pointed out over and over again that it goes downhill from this season. I don’t remember people being as critical about it when it aired (maybe book readers). I remember the criticisms starting with season 7.

parALICEis

i liked this seosen when i first saw it but now rewatching it again and knowing a bit more there are already so manny flaws in rhe storry telling that doesnt make much sense.
