Adam Dark

First?

Ana

Omg. Ok this episode was sooo good

Shadow

Let’s gooo

Shadow

Team black but I think Alicent is the biggest “baddie” in the show lol

Ana

Me during the Daemon and the river lords scene Me: Yeah Oscar standing on business 😂 Oscar : Seize Willem 😮 Me: wait he standing on too much business now. Chill

Brady

Dragon sound effects went crazy in this ep

ken

Ngl I didn’t think I’d like this episode when I saw the leaks but I loved it

Brady

LeBron making another appearance at 21:05

Ana

Same I was worried. Seem like the leaks were wrong

Mason Schutz

lol, it didn’t cut from her making out to her randomly popping up in front of Addam. Quite literally at the end of last episode, she gets news that Seasmoke was claimed and we see her flying off from Dragonstone. It’s the literal last shot of the episode. It’s the least random thing that could have happened. 😭😂

Shadow

Always wait to watch before passing judgement. I’ve seen to many spoilers to not learn that

Xincaria

This was such an amazing episode! Pretty much any episode with a lot of dragon screen time is my favorite.

Ana

Ugh I'm such a hoe but here we go. The most attractive people in the show to me is cuz I just don't have one 😂😩 Rhaenrya Aegon Baela Jace Addam Corlys This last one hurts to say but Criston 😩😒

Ana

@Mckay you guys gotta watch the puppy interview. Emma looks sooo 🥵🥵

Carrie

I know Daemon was pissed he had to let Ben 10 gag him like that in front of all the Riverlords

Blackeyedlily

Corlys hasn’t acknowledged Addam as his son. So I expect he did not feel that he had the right to claim him as his father. Ironrod is Jasper Wyled of House Rain which is located in the Stormlands. He is not a Tyrell.

Ana

Aemond is such a hater gonna send Aegon's homies away cuz he don't have no friends smh

spacejamjam

Vermithor: Buffet time!!!

CHIEF

It seems like every episode, however good, there's small moments of absolute idiocy I can't wrap my head around. One was sending Rhaenys alone, this episode was sending every person Rhaenyra brought in to Vermithor at the same time. You JUST saw what can happen so maybe send in one at a time? Stuff like that is just common sense and easily avoidable, and I consider the show's quality above that so I just wonder why I guess. Still got me excited moving forward, I just don't comment much anymore but this stuck out to me I wonder if anyone felt the same.

CHIEF

Helaena got that crazy vibe I need in my life

Shadow

Lowkey she matches my freak (aka probably autistic)

Ana

I definitely felt this way. But it was funny it made me chuckle. So I just let it go 😩😂

Shadow

Carrie that’s exactly what was playing in my head😂😂

Shadow

Aegon post burn lowkey looks likes bilbo after he gave up the ring

LuvStarburst

I have to watch the episode with you guys right now. I was scrolling through tiktok and was almost spoiled, so here I am.

milfnyra mai

rhaenyra is so sexy & i am so happy people agree. that face card is crazyyyyy. alicent is very beautiful too. i just find traditional beauty boring. i need some uniqueness & emma d’arcy is exactly that.

Leon Weiss

Small Correction. Hughs mother wasn't a bastard. She was the trueborn daughter of King Jaehaerys, the sister of Daemons and Viserys Father. In short there was a scandal at court, where she and her friends had some kind of orgy if i remember right and as punishment she was sent to the church. She ran away though and became a prostitute. So Hugh would be Daemons cousin. Like i said very short summary of the backstory.

LovetheDove

Most attractive goes to Addam and Mr. Break Bones Himself Ser Harwin Strong 😋♥️😭😂

Ana

Yes I was gonna say if Harwin and Laena were still alive they would be taking the crown.

JJ

How does porn stache know Sheepstealer’s name that was never mentioned on the show yet.

hasaad woods

Best looking ? Alicent

JJ

The one with the porn stache who said the dragons name that was never mentioned. Don’t know their names.

Ana

Oh wooow not too much on my bias now 😩😂😂 but a lot of people mention the dragons names in past episodes in the comments

sam cameron

The only thing that doesn’t make sense is how Addam can have a dragon because he’s not Targaryen at all

TheSauceGuy

Jack, they probably will kill Laenor offscreen or leave it ambiguous. Maybe they'll bring him back but I doubt it. Too far away to connect to Bluetooth.

Thicc Thanos

What is the name of the guy who got Viraximide?

Ana

The valaryons and targs have interwed. He most likely has targ blood

Shadow

Velaryons have intermarried with the targs multiple times so I would definitely say they have the most blood of the drag besides targ. They should have had corlys or Rhaenyra say that

Shadow

My girl silverwing deserves a rider with more aura then ulf😂😂 her first rider was the best Now Hugh def has vermy levels of aura

Carrie

Alicent and Rhaenyra are still the most attractive but Addam and Hugh were both doing something for me this episode 😮‍💨

Darrell Henry

Finally some forward progress. I feel like this season should have been 6 episodes, 5&6 felt like fillers. The Daemon at Harrenhal was probably the weakest part of the season for me but hopefully he will redeem himself(and the writers themselves) in the finale.

Ana

It's not that she can't ride one. She just hasn't found one she could bond with. Like Aemond and Laena before they both rode Vhagar. Laena was 15 when she finally claimed one. The dragon usually chooses the rider

sam cameron

That’s what doesn’t make sense to me when you claim a dragon aemond just said a couple words to vhagar and she let him on her back my whole thing is if it’s that simple why can’t everybody do it

TheSauceGuy

Jack, the Velaryons do have white hair lol. They are white like the Targaryens and Celtigars though.

Ana

They weren't worthy. It was more than Aemond saying some words. Vhagar sensed something in him that he liked. Just like Seasmoke searched out Addam. Or even this episode Verthimor probably sensed Hugh's strength. Rhaena couldn't claim seassmoke because Laenor wasn't dead yet either

Adam Dark

You guys need to pay attention to dialogue atleast from side characters,Hugh clearly mentions his mother was sister of Viserys and Daemon's father ( Baelon) .So she is Jaeherys daughter and Vermithor is Jaeherys dragon .

Maria

Claiming dragons reminds me a lot of “claiming” a cat. Seems easy but cats really have a mind of their own. They have to like your vibes

sam cameron

What do you mean rhaena couldn’t claim seasmoke because laenor wasn’t dead yet addam was able to ride him and laenor isn’t dead

Niffol

Dragon bonds aren't a science. Dragons have personalities. It's mostly accepted that valyrian blood at the least is necessary, but there are always outlier stories contradicting this. Ulf stepped in an egg sack not the eggs themselves, luckily.

jblakk

Silverwing is just a cutie pie. She just wanted a new buddie. Its been so long.

Niffol

Fun facts, silverwing and vermithor were "mates" while their king and queen riders were married.

briboeee

Hugh is most likely the son of Saera Targaryen, one of seven daughters of King Jaehaerys and Queen Alyssane. And one of their most “rebellious” kids, to the point where Jaehaerys had her banished and she spent the rest of her life as a commoner, hence why Hugh mentions she had more privileges because of “who she was” and because of her silver hair. Saying he was “no different than her BROTHER’s boys, viserys and daemon”. meaning they would be Hugh’s cousins and him another uncle to Rhaenyra.

Ana

It's pretty obvious Laenor has died off screen. It has been hinted at. When Seasmoke was being unrestful. Mysaria said that he may be lonely which was letting us know Laenor is most likely dead. I don't think a dragon takes on another rider until the old one is gone. But idk how much more I can explain to you 😩😂

Mel

People are so tired of the many Damon/Harrennal scenes, but the show has to get from a vengeful power hungry Damon to a Damon that could actually help Rhanerya and the blacks. It takes a lot of time and effort to change someone’s entire belief system

Shadow

Carter you’re right. HOTD has definitely had more focus on the normal smallfolk. I’m glad they are giving them their time in the spotlight as they have such an importance in grrms work

ken

Laenor may be dead now I’m sure they’ll leave it ambiguous but we saw seasmoke become restless earlier this season. Regardless dragons choose their rider there is no science to it it’s just what the dragon decides

Clegane (GOT Season 1-8 enjoyer)

Jace is worried because those that claimed the dragons also have white hair... Jace, Lucerys & Joffrey are oviously bastards because of the dark hair. Neither of which Laenor or Rhanerya has... Hugh and Ulf are half targaryens... the lineage they share is as strong as Jace.

Hunter Snider

But also worth noting, she ran away and became a prostitute in Essos. So they've changed some element of the story, unless Hugh grew up in Lys and not in Westeros.

jblakk

To add to this, for Saeras son to get Jaehaerys dragon is a great karma moment. Jaehaerys is rolling over in his grave lol. He was a great king but a terrible dad

Shadow

My goat getting an actual arc🙏🏻 And him working with Oscar Tully at the was cheeky and cool to see. Moves already being made

Clegane (GOT Season 1-8 enjoyer)

I think Daemon is finally coming together too... wasnt looking forward to more of that shit, but i honestly enjoyed it this episode!

ken

How was sending rhaenys alone idiocy? They weren’t expecting a dragon it was a trap and with the knowledge of a dragon being there, there is no reason to believe meleys couldn’t handle it.

Ana

He would know through his dragon bond. Which they have shown throughout the show. The dragons can feel the riders pain. Like in season 1 Caraxes felt Daemons pain when he was hit with and arrow. Syrax felt sad when Rhaenrya grieved for Luke

Thina

I loved this episode. I'm really excited about the Saera tease (she's most likely Hugh's mom). Saera was a rebellious (trueborn) daughter of King Jaehaerys. Jaehaerys tried to send her away to the silent sisters because of a sexual incident that involved her and some random knights/lords. Instead she escaped and made her way to Lys and worked at a pleasure house. Few years later she owned her own pleasure house in Volantis. Also she would've been alive during the first scene of episode 1 (the great council meeting) !!!

sam cameron

Yea but those dragons are all in close contact with their rider seasmoke is not it’s not like he’s seeing laenor every day

Ana

This episode was really good. Finally we are done with Daemon and Harrenhal. He finally realizes he doesn't want the crown. They do Jace kinda a dirty in this show. Most of these were his ideas. But they really put him on the back burner in the show. The dragon seeds scenes were epic. Alicent is irrelevant. I loved Aemond saw the power team black have now and I love to see it. Rhaenrya and the dragons are this episode up. The finale is about to be crazy can't wait. Hopefully it's a longer episode

jblakk

Rhaenyras Heir Order goes 1. Jace 2. Joffrey (has dragon, black hair) 3. Aegon (oldest of the daemon male babies has the cat sized dragon) 4. Viserys(the tiny blonde baby)

Ana

I can't explain much you would have to go to the discord spoiler part. It would be spoiling.

Shadow

I loved this episode. So much good. And sooo much foreshadowing. Curious to see where the season ends. Can’t wait for the finale. If only we had an additional 2 episodes after that. HBO 8 is not enough😔 I need more!!!!

Esther

exactly, like i’m genuinely confused when people claim that the harrenhal arc is useless 😭

Jed

He was saying in the books they dont have white hair. Which is true, they have black hair in the books. In the book its more of a rumor/conspiracy that Luke and Jace are bastards where in the show its obvious cause of the hair difference.

Leon Weiss

Oh yes. Forgot about that. Been a while since i read the book :)

Ana

Yeah I meant spoiling for the geks I'm not gonna mention anything else

spacejamjam

Cannon: “Oh no, their daughter died?” McKay: “Even after he stole that cabbage?” 🤣🤣🤣

Seth Aasland

Oscar Tully gained a whole lot of aura this episode

Ana

@Jed he was talking about corlys and them. Not Jace and Luke

Jaqen H'ghar

Tbf, last episode actually ended with Rhaenyra taking off on her dragon to go see who the rider was. So the cut to the scene of them meeting isn’t too off!

TheSauceGuy

Hugh's mother (Saera) was a daughter of Jaeherys I and worked in a pleasure house. Viserys and Daemon's father was Baelon the Brave, a son of Jaeherys I. So I guess Hugh is Viserys and Daemon's cousin.

CHIEF

Rhaenyra was ready to go herself, when it became obvious Rhaenys was the better option, you can believe me or not but my in real time thought was to have Rhaenyra say like "sure you go ahead and I'll stay out as long as nothing goes wrong but if you do run into trouble I'll be there as backup." So sit out a few miles away and have no plan to get involved, but when Vhagar does end up there it's at least a 2v1, put up a better fight, Rhaenys can still die but allowing Rhaenyra to escape, and she shows she's gotten involved. Your argument that they didn't expect it while I as the viewer did doesn't bode well for the writing or the characters' intellect. They're supposed to be smarter than me at least.

Kite

the meme about kid actors always moving their head too much when they act is too real

Zechree

Alicent is the most attractive in my humble opinion. Cannon asked, I'm not down bad I swear (I am)

milfnyra mai

my friend calls rhaenyra “milfnyra” & he’s so real for that 😭 that’s why i made it my username lmaoo

TheSauceGuy

I hope we get to see all of the wild dragons by next season

Kite

I knew that smith looked too epic to just be a random smith

TheSauceGuy

I like how Hugh wasn't the first to step forward to claim Vermithor. I liked the guy who stepped forward first while Hugh was still too scared; it sucks he died first as well though lol. I guess we only need one dragon rider with a messed-up eye.

TheSauceGuy

I'm not sure if you guys know this because of Cannon's comment on the subtitles, but "dragonseed" is the term for Valyrian bastards, especially lowborn ones.

Seth Aasland

Vermithor and Silverwing both being introduced this episode was phenomenal. they really did a great job displaying the terror these dragons can instill

Seth Aasland

rip all those people bro. i feel like they should’ve been introduced to the dragons one at a time. regardless, they filled two positions at least 😭💀

Amna 🍉

ADDAM THE LOYAL LET'S GOOOOO

TheSauceGuy

I liked the contrast between Vermithor and Silverwing's choice of riders lol. It makes the dragons seem more unique as they might value different things in their chosen rider.

TheSauceGuy

Jack, what did the Greens do to Hugh's family? The starvation was entirely caused by Rhaenyra.

Laney Tapia

the dragons are so cool they make me fall in love with them then they kill them off i will be a mess by the end of this show

aubrey

loved watching vermithor kill toooons of people before picking hugh contrasted with silverwing nudging the first person she saw LOL. silverwing looks way more epic than i expected her to look

Shadow

I feel that Rhaenyra sending all the seeds in at once kinda shows she doesn’t care about smallfolk as individuals as much as she just cares about smallfolk in general. She wants to be a good queen for all of the smallfolk but a few individual’s lives don’t mean as much in the grand scheme of it all. She literally barricaded the seeds in the dragonmount. The behind the scenes clips saying she was acting like a cult leader during the lead up and sowing of the seeds is interesting. She starting to feel like she KNOWS what to do and in more then just a confident way

Maria

I didn’t understand the purpose of the barricade. Can anyone explain?

Shadow

I think Rhaenyra was kinda just saying f it vermithor will choose one of them it’s meant to happen just like seasmoke did and was desperate so she locked them in

Amna 🍉

Valyrions DO have white hair. The only hair colour they changed was Rhaneys. I think she had black hair with white streaks in the book? Bc she's half baratheon half targaryen

Carrie

I need to know the symbolism of that random goat outside of Daemon’s chambers. All of his hallucinations so far are people in his life & then there's this goat lmao

Random Random

The Velayrons absolutely have silver white hair in the books. I’m not sure where you heard otherwise.

PST3

Jace Strong just sits in the castle giving Zoolander looks. Meanwhile his mother is feeding commoners to dragons. The writing has gotten bad, how did they recruit this many people to leave a closed city without the scheme leaking out.

Amna 🍉

Jaecerys might have been harsh with his words but he was not wrong....

TheSauceGuy

Right now, the combat-capable dragons that the Blacks have are Vermithor, Silverwing, Caraxes, Syrax, Seasmoke, Vermax, and Moondancer. The combat-capable dragons the Greens have are Vhagar, Dreamfyre, and Tessarion. The three unclaimed wild dragons are Grey Ghost, Sheepstealer, and the Cannibal. There are also eggs and baby dragons as you've seen, but these aren't helpful right now.

Kai Harwood

the greens have 4 dragons. Vhagar Sunfyre Tessarion And Helaena's dragon Dreamfyre which we haven't seen properly. Shes big but i think they're making her be kinda like Syrax and just be a breeding dragon. Helaena rides her alot but they don't show it.

Amna 🍉

Hugh's mother was most likely Saera Targaryen aka Daemon and Viserys's aunt.

Amna 🍉

I WISH SYRAX WAS BIGGER

Sara

This episode basically confirmed that Hugh's mother, the girl from the pleasure house, is princess Saera Targaryen, who was one of King Jaehaerys's daughters. She was very rebellious against her parents and ended up working at a pleasure house. Also, it makes sense that Hugh and Ulf were the ones who were chosen by the dragons since they're half Targaryens (their mother/father were allegedly full blooded Targaryens), whereas the other dragonseeds might've had less of a Targaryen lineage

TheSauceGuy

It's important to keep in mind that this is a time of war, so spending money on the smallfolk (even if I think it'd be beneficial) isn't the highest priority for them. I think destroying the blockade should be one of their highest priorities. Anyway, what makes you think they had enough food to feed the smallfolk? I'm sure the disparity is great but not enough to feed the whole city or even a significant portion. The townspeople did have fish, but that was mostly it. Also, I wouldn't say Aemond particularly cares about the smallfolk, but others do.

TheSauceGuy

I think Jack was talking about the Velaryons in general, not Jace, Luke, and Joffrey (who aren't Laenor's kids anyway). In the books, the Velaryons DO have white hair like typical Valyrians, but they also don't differ in skin color. If hair genetics in this series worked like they do in our world, the skin color difference would be the more obvious clue.

Amna 🍉

The dragons in the last scene were definitely calling Vaghar slurs

vally

Great episode

Niffol

Jack out here just spreading lies. Velaryons are of valyrian descent and as such have valyrian traits; Silver-Gold hair and purple eyes.

Niffol

Jacks "recall" is dog water haha

Amna 🍉

oop now that aemond couldn't sneak attack his way out of a fight he ran away real quick

Amna 🍉

Catelyn being Oscar Tully's descendant just makes so much sense

Amna 🍉

Oscar Tully is very much giving Book Robb Stark vibes

Branflakes

Fire episode. Sad we only got 1 left though..

Nomaan

This rift between Jace and rhaenyra is not something I wanted 😭 but I see both sides of the argument which makes it even more annoying

Anna

I’m just gonna say it, Rhaena may deserve the most respect bc how ballsy do you have to be to keep trying to claim every single large dragon even though they all try to kill you

Anna

And she doesn’t even wear a wig or extensions in the show 🫨 hair of a goddess tbh

Anna

They also coil together which is the dragon way of cuddling 😩 so CUTE

Anna

I said the same thing 🤣 I was like how is she going from Alysanne to Ulf lololol

Anna

I’m so mad at Crispin for being so fine

Anna

Ana Emma being confused about hoagie bread was hysterical

Ana

@Anna I hate it so much but I can't deny that face card 😩😂 And yeah they were so adorable in that interview. The hair? the outfit? Like they ate that interview. Stole the show

Anna

The warmest personality ever!!!!! I adore them lol

Amna 🍉

rhaenyra wearing jaehaerys’s crown and saera’s bastard son riding his dragon i just know this old man it’s throwing tantrums in hell

Amna 🍉

I feel like the writers don't know what to do with Alicient's character

Mzuka

Meh, I subscribe to the theory that the spirits of dragonriders live on through their dragons just like skinchangers. Saera is likely one of Jaehaerys's great regrets, it was the reason for one of the Quarrels. Her child showing some of his spirit, the boldness and nobility Hugh showed by saving that woman... I think it answers the question Rhaenyra posed in her speech: is it something in the blood or a question of worth? It's some combination of the two. Even Silverwing and Seasmoke's choices reflect that to me.

Count Dooku

season 2 made me realize how much Viserys carried season 1. feels like we only got 2 good episodes this season. hopefully the finale cooks and brings us back to peak cinema

Mzuka

The reason Larys and Ironrod are reluctant to share the questionable intelligence is because they are wary of Aemond. The entire conversation takes place with them watching Aemond sentence highborn Kingsguard to life on the Wall for the crime of failing to correctly perform their duties (in his mind). That is an intentional choice - it's exactly what's at stake for them. Larys has been on the receiving end of Aemond's displeasure and it directly motivated him to push for Aegon's healing. This scene is an echo and continuation of that, as well as showing us Aemond's failings as a king. Ruling with fear and an iron rod (lol) results in poor service - service is one of the main themes of the episode, I think. Aemond's style of rule leads to the final scene, where he is unprepared for a threat he may have been on alert for if he wasn't such a dick.

Anna

Damn that really was such a quick no from Vermithor on that first bro

TheSauceGuy

Vhagar has fought in many wars/conflicts, so she's battle-hardened and used to fighting. She's old though, so it seems she mostly sleeps whenever not being ridden lol.

Anna

I tip my hat once again to the casting department bc several shots of Rhaenyra this episode really reminded me of Helaena

TheSauceGuy

I'm just saying that the starvation is Rhaenyra's doing and obviously, it gives her an advantage to prevent supplies from going to KL. One wagon of goats is not enough to feed ~500,000 people lol. They could have a whole barn of lambs there and it wouldn't be enough. I'm not saying they shouldn't invest more in the smallfolk, but I don't think Aemond (who is the one in charge rn) cares much. Council members (I think it was Larys?) expressed the importance of providing for the smallfolk despite the blockade. Also, no need for the attitude here.

Anna

I wonder if silverwing just picked Ulf bc she knew her guy had a new rider

Alex

season 2 is SO much better than season 1

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨

@jj "porn stache" is crazy- but I'm pretty sure the Lady Arryn or whatever told her they called it sheepstealer in like the last ep or somethin

Count Dooku

from an action standpoint ill give you that, i just enjoyed the characters more in season 1

I❤️movies&tvshows

In the books Corlys Velaryon is a white man with silver hair and purple eyes like the Targaryens. It because the Velaryons have intermarried with the Targaryens even before Aegon the Conqueror.

Rahimah

YES THE VELARYONS HAVE WHITE HAIR IN THE BOOK THEY ARE FROM OLD VALYRIA

Jengit

I daresay the best episode of this season yet Lord Oscar Tully will not be overlooked anymore Adam, Hugh and Ulf have joined Team Black I hope Rhaena will claim the wild dragon next episode Season 3 will be an absolute feast

Leo

Daemon tamed by a kid 😂😂😂

Rahimah

Can you guys watch histories and lore , I’m tired of seeing you guys get things wrong

Fatipapi

Im just gonna keep commenting haikyuu shit til it drops

Fatipapi

NIIIIIICEEE KIIIILLLLL U-SHI-JI-MA! 👏🏼👏🏼 USHIJIMA 👏🏼👏🏼 USHIJIMA 👏🏼👏🏼 USHIJIMA

Shadow

Not really that they would be locked inside with the dragon when it started eating people tho😂

Rahimah

There is no more time skips - there has not been any seen viserys died - it’s all in real time

I❤️movies&tvshows

Since you were asking who inherits if something happens to Jace, Joffrey is next in line. Then Aegon, Daemon’s son and after Aegon it would be Daemons youngest child, Viserys. As we saw in the last episodes Aegon has a dragon Stormcloud but it was just a baby dragon no help in the war going on now. Ser Rickard Thorne with Alicent in the Kingswood is Alister Thorne’s ancestor. Sir Jasper “Ironrod” Wylde is the one telling Larys about Seasmoke. He also talks about Daeron joining the war on Tessarion. Daeron is 16. In the books he was born the same year as Jace. Tessarion should be about the same size as Vermax. Really enjoyed the reaction! It’s great to see two mics and a table. I felt like it did help to hear everyone’s comments more clearly. Carter you are awesome to get this posted so quickly! Thank you. ❤️

BipolarKitten

"Touch his snout" 🤣🤣

Jessica

Great episode & great reaction got nothing else to say 🔥

Jessica

Oh actually just wanted to say that the music played when alicent had her scene in the woods/lake has this tragic feeling to it. I believe we heard it first when alicent and Rhaenyra talked and it played at the end, maybe it’s the theme for the season, but I’m sensing some tragedy coming and I’m nervous

Enecca

The real reason is that this happens in the book and they didnt want to change it.

Monte

I’m not sure who asked but whoever said if Jace dies who would be the next in line…I think that question should be easy to answer! Joffrey would be next in line. It goes by first born and because her and Laenor’s (Harwin Strong) sons were all born before her and Daemon’s sons…Joffrey is next in line for heir. Then it would be Aegon and then Viserys in that order. If she had a living daughter (Visenya was stillborn or died very soon after birth) normally Targaryen lineage states she is skipped for the oldest living son. However, because Rhaenyra is Queen she would be unlikely to skip over her daughter if she had one. Either way it’s Jace > Joffrey > Aegon > Viserys

Enecca

I feel like they should have had an entire episode for Daemon. You hear nothing from him and then some times later the complete haunting of harrenhall storyline.

ken

Said rhaenyra wanted any random lowborns not just Targaryen bastards and that she had posters put up in kings landing, alys daemon sex scene, corlys and Jace considering a coup. overall just way off

bateman bookworm

yeah i think they misunderstood, it was rhaenys who didn’t have white hair bc she was also part baratheon

Mzuka

Lmao are you trying to write Vermithor? His name was Hugh bro.

Mzuka

Thank you! I've been feeling nuts seeing all the hate for it, it's clearly humbling Daemon.

Mzuka

Needed some sacrifices like Steffon to get the bond going. 'Blood for fire, fire for blood'.

Mzuka

I don't think anyone would have been willing to try after seeing that. So it was a now or never thing. She may also have intuited something about bonding dragons that Daenerys later does about hatching dragons - magic requires sacrifice: 'Blood for fire, fire for blood'.

Mzuka

I think all the animals we see in Daemon scenes at Harrenhal are just Alys's eyes - she's clearly a skinchanger, probably a greenseer.

Ryan Ry

Lord of the Sus @Brig stopped giving his “prediction” so many times this episode because he can’t hide it any longer, that he knows spoilers for the show. He’s not that good an actor.

Marcusinmilw

11:10 Sorry, Jack, but that is incorrect. In Fire & Blood the hair of the Velaryons is described as "ghostly silver."

Philbo

Yeah lol I believe they just race swapped the velaryons correct? That’s what people were saying when the show first came out

Marcusinmilw

@Amna You really have zero chill. There is no need to be so snarky and condescending.

Marcusinmilw

Yep. I thought the same thing as soon as Hugh said his mother worked in a pleasure house and "because of who she was and because rich men paid more to f--k a woman with silver hair." That pretty much confirmed it for me. Saera was known to have at least 3 bastard sons.

Marcusinmilw

Correct. In the book, the Velaryons were said to have “pale skin.” Like the Targaryens, they also had purple eyes, which is another feature of people of Valyrian descent.

Jigga Man

I'm so happy Ulf didn't get Vermithor 🤣

nymeria

silverwing just bored and wanted to get out of that cave and join her husband

jason 𒉭

yeah they got race swapped but george originally was thinking of making the valyrians black but he scratched that idea cuz he knew people would call him racist cuz of how power hungry and incestuous they are.

Scinaps

They didn't even have to watch it to remember who Jaehaerys was

Scinaps

So Hugh is Saera's bastard son confirmed? Would explain Hugh being so ballsy. She's the daughter of J+A who misbehaved and ended up sailing to Lys and Volantis and becoming a famous brothel keeper. Baelon (Viserys and Daemons dad) would have been one of her brothers

Philbo

Like I don’t really care for it but I kinda wish they didn’t race swap them only because it would’ve made more sense for rhaenrya to play off the whole “my kids aren’t bastards”

Leo

I don't know why I don't like dany and rhaenyra but they have huge fan following. Is there any problem with me?

Marcusinmilw

I think that was one of the reasons they did it. They wanted the true parentage to be blatantly obvious and make it that much harder Rhaenyra to deny the truth.

jason 𒉭

it doesn’t really matter, they still would’ve obviously look like bastards cuz both rhaenyra and laenor had white hair and their kids had black hair.

Selena

Hugh is half Targaryen not 1/4. He's the cousin to Daemon and Viserys. He said that his mother told him he's no different to her brothers sons Viserys and Daemon. With that knowoledge he's confirmed as the bastard son of Saera Targaryen, sister of Baelon(father to Viserys and Daemon). Make sense given her life lol. And Ulf the rumored bastard son of Baelon. Making him D&V's half brother

Marcusinmilw

That’s true, but the boys looking white instead of having skin color similar to Baela and Rhaena made it all the more obvious. I guess Rhaenyra could say that the dark hair was due to the Baratheon in their bloodline, but she really had no way to explain their white skin.

Marcusinmilw

36:45 LOL!! No, Jack. Hugh's mother was Princess Saera Targaryen, daughter of King Jaehaerys I. She was not a bastard. Saera is described as tempestuous, demanding, and disobedient. After a scandal and years of fights with King Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne, Saera crossed the Narrow Sea and starting working in a pleasure house in Lys. She was known to have at least 3 bastard sons.

jason 𒉭

yeah , i never cared about the race swapped , george was on board with idea, and i probably wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference between the velaryons and targaryens, so it made it easier😂

Seth Aasland

Alicent really said “i need to touch grass this episode”

Amna 🍉

"Syrax had yellow scales, and by the Dance of the Dragons she had grown huge and formidable" The fact that the writers of the show said she's small bc she's a female dragon.....MAKE IT MAKE SENSE

Amna 🍉

Are we really not getting Alysanne and Benjicot Blackwood??!?!?

milfnyra mai

she should be!! she’s 30 something years old & they’re supposed to keep growing until they die. idk why they made her so small 😭

milfnyra mai

i think i read somewhere that they are giving bloody ben’s arc to oscar tully like they’re giving nettles arc to rhaena. it might not be true but with the way the show is going, i’m inclined to believe it.

Scinaps

I'm annoyed the boys forget about Baelons generation 🙄

Scinaps

Everyone knows the snout is the dragons Bluetooth pairing button.

Kale

Mmmm “large and formidable” and “doesn’t like to fly in bad weather, doesn’t like to hunt for her own food” contradict each other… I’d rather her be small and spoiled than giant and spoiled…

Ryan Ry

Why are you guys being violent? I feel that this has become a hostile environment. Is this what your community is all about @StudioGek? Lord of the sus @Brig

Jarvis

I’m sure he will come in season 3 seeing as Willem has just been slain.

Madison

this might be my favorite episode but 4 is a close second

Jackson Carter

Ohhh it was probably that, because Rhaenys is part Baratheon if not mistaken…?

clémence

The crown also promised to pay them and I doubt they did. So not only were they starving because of the blockade but they also didn’t have money to buy food in the first place.

Jackson Carter

I wasn’t trying to spread lies, I think I just got confused on what was different from the books. I know they are race swapped and Rhaenys wasn’t supposed to have white hair

Scinaps

Lol I posted a family tree graphic then deleted cause ultimate spoilers *brain fart*

Jackson Carter

That’s what I’m saying, long in dying?? I feel like sunfyre either took a long time to die, or is just like Aegon and struggling to get back to being functional

Jackson Carter

I was saying that they locked the gates to the city, right? Because Hugh and his family were gonna leave Kings Landing but were unable to because the Greens had locked down the city

clémence

Ser Harwin Strong was (is) the most attractive character in this show to me… I’ve rewatched that scene when he’s holding baby Jeoffrey while looking at Rhea a ridiculous amount of time it’s embarrassing. I might go watch it again… 🫣 Also, Hugh.

lily p

Yes. Baratheons come from the First Men so their genes are stronger than Andal/Targaryen genes. That’s why Rhaenys has black hair and Jace has black hair. Andal genes on the otherhand are weaker, so if a Targaryen intermarried with a family from Andal origin, their hair would likely be white as opposed to a family w First Men origins.

Chris Sanford

Rhaenyra, Baela, Alicent and honestly Season 2 Mysaria are all baddies.

Amna 🍉

her not growing since seaosn 1 doesn't make sense though. I rather see her actual size and be spoiled too lol

Shay Kumar

Yeah let's say Sunfyre's health somewhat parallels Aegon's atm. At this point he's likely still at Rook's Rest with some guards (like Criston mentioned a couple eps ago) and feeding on corpses after the nearby battles.

Arjan Rijvers

From the wiki with citations: House Velaryon is of Valyrian descent, and its members often have Valyrian features, such as silver-gold or silver hair and purple eyes.

Shay Kumar

Benjicot has already been namedropped in the show. He will def be around.

Shay Kumar

I'd do some self-reflection and ask myself why, if I was really curious about it. They're both widely liked and generally well-received by the fan base.

Shay Kumar

If you feel the environment is hostile after you make inflammatory comments, perhaps refrain from making those comments or choose to remove yourself from here for a community better aligned with your perspectives.

Amna 🍉

A Rhaenys, Oscar Tully and Simon Strong gc would go craaaazy

Arjan Rijvers

There are theories that the goat is reference to future events that take place in Harrenhal during GOT, namely the death of Vargo Hoat, called the goat (book only). Also the Black Goat is a evil diety worshiped in Qohor.

Arjan Rijvers

The guy that gets roasted is labeled as 'dragonseed' in the subtitles because that is what they call bastards of Targaryens, as they are born from dragons(Targ) seed. This event where a bunch of dragonseeds try to bond with the unclaimed dragons and most get eaten is called 'the sowing of the seeds' because just like with real sowing only a few seeds sprout and the rest don't come to anything.

Ryan Ry

Lord of the Sus @Brig doesn’t think my comments are “inflammatory” at all. Also non of my comments involves anyone else for that matter.

Amna 🍉

ngl they did show jeyne arryn DIRTYYYY, especially when book jeyne stood on business. “She [Rhaenyra] remains our rightful queen, and mine own blood besides, an Arryn on her mother’s side. In this world of men, we women must band together. The Vale and its knights shall stand with her.”

Lydia

This was probably absolutely done on purpose. If you rewatch, Rhaenyra's men were stopping everyone from leaving. She also was watching from up top. I think she meant to find her two dragonriders AND get rid of all possible heirs to the throne bc of Jace's concerns. I think thats why she looked so guilty up there.

lily p

King Jahaerys ( Viserys Predecessor ) had 13 children. 7 daughters and 6 sons. Saera ( Hugh’s mom ) was his wild-child. After embarrassing her father multiple times at court she was sent to oldtown to be a silent sister. After a year at oldtown however, she crossed the narrow sea to work at a pleasure house in Lys. So both Hugh and Ulf are half targaryen and both Jahaerys’ grandchildren.

Lydia

To me it seemed like Rhaenyra def brought everyone before the dragons and left them there on purpose. she found her two dragonriders while also rounding up all the bastards that could challenge her kids for the throne and got rid of them. She looked super guilty when she left them down there and her men literally forced them to stay in the dragonfire. Sad but smart.

Lydia

Idk i think she did it on purpose. she got rid of all the bastards at the same time as finding the necessary riders. win win. Cause i think she wanted to put Jace at ease. i know its not all the bastards in the world but at least some down.

Chris Sanford

Btw Hugh's mother, Saera Targaryen was sister to Baelon (Viserys and Daemon's dad). So she was the daughter of Jahaerys and because she was very promiscuous he basically disowned her. She moved to Lys and started her own brothel.

morena

RIP! Vhagar... its going to be a 4 vs 1 isn't it? How many episodes left in this season?

lily p

Now the Blacks have Syrax, Caraxes, Vermax, Moondancer, Vermithor, Silverwing, Seasmoke and potentially Rhaena’s dragon. So 8 dragons to the greens’ 4 dragons including Daeron’s dragon.

Safety Tina

I found show Dany’s self-righteousness irritating, and her portrayal in the later seasons to be drab and mostly unlikable (but that’s not her character exclusively). Rhaenyra I don’t mind, but I think some of the other characters in the show have more interesting arcs at the moment, which can make her seem more bland by comparison.

Daenerys Targaryen

I agree, I think Jeyne is a character the show really didn't realize to the fullest potential this season.

Anna

For length but her hair has always been thick is what I mean 🤣 Her natural hair has always been fab in everything I’ve seen her in

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨

@Lydia I hadn't thought of that! Its def an interesting theory, but idk how much I buy into it just because the whole discussion was how it wasn't other bastards who Jace feared, but other bastards who actually had white hair AND claim to a dragon to boot...so the product of the claiming was the issue, not everyone who couldn't manage it. My interpretation was that she just looked guilty because she saw up close and personal what happened to the kingsguard who'd tried it with her last time, and knew it was inevitably likely to happen to most, it not all the people there.

Lydia

Truuuu I see what you’re saying. In theory tho there could be possibilities for the other bastards to claim dragons if current dragon riders die tho right? But I guess she really is doing this only for the current war and predicament she is in. The whole thing was just strange to me how she left them all there and forced them to stay?

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

I still don't really understand Jace in this ep... I can't be the only one can I? He made the suggestion of finding other riders for dragons, and is upset when this happens only because they might be low born? And his reasoning is, they may challenge his claim. But, if other random nobles have dragons couldn't they also challenge his claim? Or is he just chuffed because its like 'oh if anyone can get a dragon then we aren't special' Idk I do get it to an extent but I'm still not sure why he was SO upset by this development lol

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨

@Lydia That's true too, so I can see your point also! My assumption was just that the guards were partially there out of ceremony though or because she didn't want people escaping all over the place and needed them to stay even if fearful so that she could ensure that they had the best chance at the dragons discovering their rider

Scinaps

He's essentially worried that he is no better than them ... it's deep insecurity from being a "bastard" born himself

Scinaps

Jace had to deal with his legitimacy being questioned all his life and now some non-high born comes along and has a dragon (only thing that outwardly signals jace as targaryen). So he feels insecure and threatened. A highborn would have other claims to their name and be a legitimate heir to some title or land etc by birth and not being a bastard.

Scinaps

I'd even argue the reason he calls them "mongrels" is because this systematic hate against bastards/non legit kids/common folk is so deeply engrained in his own shame and inadequacies

Lydia

ahhhhh yeah thats a good point! that last part was legit the only other option to me. cause yeah lets say ulf or hugh ran away far enough cause they were scared and never found their dragons, then it would have all been for nothing so that very well could have been why she did that

Nomaan

Cannon mentioning Dany riding Drogon bareback😭 they’ve finished season 5? feed us some more GOT pls

exopink

correct. Rhaenys started having white streaks when she got older

Ash Hale

IMO the best episode yet. Lord Oscar Tully is my new favorite character. Don't hate me but I think it was smart to get all Targaryen bastards at the same time, my Queen knows what she's doing. Gets her riders and destroys most bastards.

Jack

Okay you five, we gotta put this to rest. Aegon doesn’t make his bastards fight in the fighting pits!!! Aegon just FREQUENTS there often and has hooked up with many women there, and from what we can see there’s at least one bastard that’s there probably because his mom works there. The child was VERY young, younger than the kids fighting by quite a bit. You guys just watched that scene and took it as Aegon making his bastards fight in the fighting pits. Not true!! Love your reactions I just have heard you guys say that about Aegon before and I would like to not here it again

Jack

I’m sure someone cleared this up. But Hugh’s mom was the sister to Baelon (Viserys and Daemon’s dad).

Derek

Alyn is one of my favorite characters in Fire and Blood, has the coolest nickname too lol

TheSauceGuy

I think Aegon would've at least tried to but Aemond doesn't care right now lol.

neko

Team black is getting way too many Ws this episode. House Tully and the riverland lords are on their side and they have an additional of 3 dragons, Seasmoke, Silverwing and Vermithor. I fear for them next week in the season finale. Not me getting the Lucerys ptsd :(

Arctic_stark

No Jace has a good point here. Noble houses are bound by oaths and fealty, they all have houses equal to them and above them to keep them in check. Unless a Stark or a Lannister gets a dragon, the Targaryens are relatively safe. Even with a dragon, houses like Stark and Arryn would put oaths above ambition. However a bastard with a dragon has nothing of his own, he will be compelled to carve something out for himself.

Arctic_stark

We should get a lot of these minor characters next season, even on the Hightower side like Unwin.

Shiro

Jace and the dragon keepers are right about being skeptical of inviting dragon riders to claim dragons. They are walking nuclear weapons and not to be taken lightly. According to Mysaria's logic, Rhaenyra's own half brothers who are legal Targaryens have gone against her but a common shipwright has bent the knee to her. Hence, invite the smallfolk to claim dragons. Another way of looking at it is - if your own half siblings cannot be loyal to you, what is the possibility that these random characters will and should be loyal to you? Especially if their dragons are bigger than Syrax, Vermax, Moondancer who are relatively smaller dragons? There is really no way to control someone once they have claimed a dragon, and besides they are bastards with no land or titles. I would be very wary giving away the largest dragons to people who have every incentive to leave you!

Arctic_stark

Vhagar out here with dementia thinking she's still fighting the Dornish with Visenya on her back.

Arctic_stark

I just wish they would let the character take a backseat but they seem reluctant to leave Olivia Cook with less screen time. They could spend that time on characters like Baela and develop her.

Arctic_stark

Silverwing definitely has the gentle spirit of the good queen Alysanne.

Arctic_stark

Yes the show runners described it as like a "ritual sacrifice". Shes also started talking like she has a divine mission with the Gods helping her in this episode, and her speech to the dragon seeds was supposed to feel like a cult leader talking. Ominous.

Animeke

I guess Silverwing likes the submissive type...

Shadow

Jace or Rhaenyra really aren’t concerned about random bastards coming for his claim Jace is concerned about dragon riding bastards as they are what hurt his legitimacy and could directly challenge him. 2 bastards with dragons threaten his claim more then 100 of them with just white hair would ever

angela a

oh wow thank you for explaining this! such incredible writing from Martin

angela a

jack lowk cooking w these hugh hammer puns lol

Amna 🍉

Exactly! Like did we really need a 15 min scene of her walking and going for a swim? They could've given us another scene of Rhaena and developing her character

Nat Brojeni

Baela has moon dancer!

cutty

The drama in this show feels so immature and petty most of the time... I really only care to see the dragons, Aemond, and Daemon. Everyone else is extremely uninteresting at this point. Other characters have just been really let down this season. So many of them are shells of their characters from season 1. Rhaenyra included.

Jonoridge

Larys has been interesting this season I feel. His relationship with Aegon is going to pay-off in the final episode I would imagine.

Caleb

I think ulfs was a alot easier because silverwings quite old, and a lonely dragon

Caleb

Yeah jaeharys was viserys uncle, rhaenys father

Tyler Sick

Ulf is one of those people who’s telling the truth but it always sounds like he’s lying

Jacob Goldsmith

online GOT book people are mad af about this ep because supposedly it breaks all the lore that this happened from what im reading

Christian R Lewis-Batista

Yall have random vids locked. Not sure where to put this but jjk episode 20 is locked.

Amna 🍉

I'll bet GRRM was fuming with the changes they made to the Bracken & Blackwood storyline

Nanashi

True honestly, seeing people compare this to GoT makes me sad

Nanashi

On the other hand these new dragonriders do have some hatred for the King. Of Rhaenyra is smart she can use that

Kale

Why tho? It’s not like she would ever be a “big” dragon in comparison to literally any other dragon left in the series besides her sons adolescent dragon and maybe seasmoke but we’ve never even seen em together lmao

Jonoridge

Larys undermining Aemond because he got called a 'toad' in the last episode and favouring Aegon is an interesting development. It's interesting how he told Lord Jasper not to tell Aemond about Seasmoke finding a rider. I'm excited for the finale to see how it all pans out.

Priscilla Ibanichuka

What’s funny is Syrax and Seasmoke are mates 🥰🤣 Just screeching a teaching over there

Priscilla Ibanichuka

Valeryia did have white or gold hair in the books. They just weren’t black. That was the major change from the books with their house

Thomas Strunk

48:00 cannon saying "this guy's had no screen time, he's cooked" is one of the funniest things lol

Bean

jacks buggin the valaryons do have white hair in the books, the change they made was to their skin color not hair color. Even addam has white hair in the book

Bean

nah jaeharys was viserys and rhaenys' grandfather

Scinaps

HotD finale has been leaked on tiktok, just a warning to everyone

Caraxes🐐DT

Not really I mean we don’t know if laenor not dead…I don’t think it broke the lore tbh many people was saying that tho because they thought the writers made it that Targaryen blood don’t matter but the show didn’t say that at all so the leaks were false.

A_Daddy Daichi

Rhaenyra is absolutely stunning. Alicent is very pretty too

I❤️movies&tvshows

You guys may have heard already. Just thought I would mention it here if you didn’t know. But episode 8 was leaked. It’s all over the internet. If you don’t want to be spoiled stay away from social media for HOTD.

Jacob Goldsmith

i mena its not leaks its the opinion of the book writers since he is a velaryon and not targerian

Isabell

Fr I thought he was lying until the very last second 😂

A_Daddy Daichi

Silverwing was like “someone visited me!!!”

Seth Aasland

Vermithor: “I require someone ferocious, strong, and has years of experience of hard work.” Silverwing: “You’re my friend now 😁”

Nomaan

Yeah ngl I had to watch a specific scene cos of what i heard and wow

Shadow

I love the scenes with Daemon and Oscar in this episode. Some of my fav in the show so far. They both knew what they were doing and benefited. And also I’m very invested in Oscar’s character after that scene

Mahti

I'm confused at the thirst towards Rhaenyra, I don't find her physically attractive whatsoever

Mahti

Most attractive character would be between Baela Targaryen and Alicent

Scinaps

Fun fact: the first dragon seed with the deformed face is a real actors face he's called Robert Rhodes

Scinaps

Nomaan, is it the gender swap for a certain character? That def caught me off guard

Ron Jackson Jr

this is like how to train ur dragon taming one haha
