You guys were def COOKING (I think), I'm watching it for the first time with the Geks. I would say Mikkel being Jonas's father would make the most sense to me and also it would avoid any incest? (not sure what the word would be). Also, I don't think time travel is necessarily such a one-time thing... I would predict that people who understand it can do it multiple times so they aren't forced to age from the point in time they go back to. At this point the confusion is so big anything could happen. LOL! P.S. Ulrich is already growing on me.. *sigh*, I guess I'm a fan (:

I think Brig had a great idea, bring a whiteboard or a notebook. I watched this as it was coming out and I got soo confused with people in the show and storylines, I stopped watching it along the way. Then my sister suggested watching it again together and with notes. Best experience ever. Also there is a website of the show Dark.netflix.io, where you can choose on which episode you are to get a spoiler-free guide, such a nice tool. You can see a lot, to not get lost in the show.

SO GLAD YOU ARE WATCHING IT IN GERMAN! The english dub robs so much of the acting, it alters the dialog to clunky literal translations while the subtitles were curated by the writer/director/creator husband and wife to be more accurate. Also the voices for some characters are sooooooo bad. The most epic german voices are replaced by high pitched nasally voices in the dub lol.

When the Mikkel's older brother is punching the wall, that's not an american house with hollow drywall, that's a european house with walls that are probably rock solid. If he punched it any harder he'd break his hands. Also just a heads up the creators of this show's next project was a show called 1899 that was also super mind bending but Netflix dropped it after the first season and they haven't put out anything else since. Super sad because after finishing you're just going to want more.

It probably won't win a poll anytime soon, but if the Geks choose another series irrespective of polls like with Chernobyl, pls let that be next Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harelson COOK, like gourmet 3 Michelin stars. A heads up guys. This is coming from someone who has watched the show multiple times and understands almost everything. This show is very intricate and detailed. As you progress it will keep on getting more convoluted and layered. So if you don't want to find yourself totally lost and at wit's end by season 3 or even 2, it is absolutely a MUST that you keep track of all the characters and their relationships, the events and your theories. Please. Note it down. Also try not to have a long break between episodes or you won't remember the important details from previous episode. The show demands your unyielding attention so try to binge it if possible. These are not really requests but a warning of where this show will lead you to eventually. As it did with me and almost everyone else. I love your reactions and your discussions and I don't want you to end up confused and all over the place later on. So PLEASE.

I hope you guys wont forget The Haunting of Hill House. The unusual creative way it tells its story is something you dont really see in tv and movies. Its a short show that really stands out in the mystery thriller genre. The actors did such a marvelous job. Some of the LONG uninterrupted one take shots they've done in that show really blew my mind with how they were used both narratively and technically. You guys REALLY need to watch that show. Btw I also love Dark. Shows like these are right up my alley.

@Dark Expert you guys saying this weren’t kidding! I got through episode 6 last night before I had to go to sleep and 🤯😵‍💫. I love it though. like realllyyy love it. I will say that the Netflix dark website people have been posting in here has been CRUCIAL for me, BUT make sure you’re only looking at the pages for episodes that you have FINISHED. I had to like study those family trees after each episode and go through everyone and say the names aloud and for the first 3-4 episodes I’d try to say characters names and who they were related to when they came on screen just to like really set it in my brain. I highly recommend taking the time. once I got the characters all kind of locked in and set in my head it made the next couple episodes so much easier to digest. I’m sure me feeling this locked in and confident/clear about everything is a temporary state of affairs and I’ll have to keep studying as I go lol but man it’s cool. Idk that I’ve ever seen a show that makes my mind work so hard, and I love it 🫠

English DUB is really good for this show if it makes it easier to follow. It's pretty complicated so I'd recommend it, but I'm totally fine with this as well. This is an incredibly good show. I watched it with my homies as well and we all regard it very highly

YESS exactly!! They release so much more anime content relatively that it almost feels like if you are playing exclusively for live action, it just isn't worth it. There is no balance. (especially if you are paying for the early access tier. Which I did. What is the point in it if YT is going to catch up anyway?) No updates either regarding what is their schedule for DARK or even when we can expect them to drop the next one. You are left with no option but to keep checking every once in a while, only to come out a bit disappointed. I love their reactions and have followed them since their very first AOT reaction video they uploaded on Youtube but this is one thing that sometimes just gets to me.

I think I really would have if I was only here for Dark. But I do follow some of the others too. The thing that worries me here the most is that they have taken so much on their plate,(at least 6 shows in total concurrently), I doubt they would be able to grasp and understand DARK. It is a show which demands your full attention. With them watching so many other shows at the same time and having such a large gap in between these episodes of DARK, it almost seems impossible that they would be able to even remember the important past events in the show as they move forward. That's why it is very important to binge here. But they are just doing the opposite of that. Oh well, let's see where it goes. I wouldn't be surprised if they do end up getting lost tbh.

Guys please do pay attention to the live action part of your content too. The uploads have become increasingly sporadic here (specially DARK) while the anime side not only has double the number of shows going on but it is even bombarded with multiple simultaneous uploads on the same day. Please strive to attain some balance and uniformity between the two.
