I've watched the entire show 3 times now. It is one of the best I have ever seen. I am so glad to see others watching it finally. Enjoy Season 2! It only gets more confusing. But DONT give up, all questions will be answered.

Britney

I cannot express enough how much I love this show and how excited I am for you guys to be watching this.

Elain

JulioLG

Guys I have to woooooork plaeseeeee *proceeds to press play*

palma

Wait til you guys find out what caused Woller to wear an eyepatch.

Garlic

Idk how to put this without "spoiling" but if you know you know when I say one of their theories is giving "ramen shop guy from naruto" vibes and its soooo funny.

Junior

Surprised to see Cannon hooked on Claudia so soon. She is THE best character on the entire show, and I think most fans would agree. Damn, I wish you guys would give Dark the 3-a-week slot after GOT ends. It is such a great show to binge and watch as quickly as you can devouring one episode right after the other. All of these characters (and you guys) are about to enter such a WILD journey, I can't wait!!

Daniel

Lol I just spotted my ex in the episode👀 She once told me she was an extra in the show but I totally forgot

A_Daddy Daichi

Omg I was so confused thought my sister’s cat was outside my door lol

A_Daddy Daichi

Waiting is the worst thing you could do in a missing persons case especially with children. Even 24 hours

TheSauceGuy

Peter looks like a young Mike Ehrmantraut from Breaking Bad.

TheSauceGuy

I thought your TikTok joke was funny, Cannon. Shame on them lol.

Dio

UNEXPECTED BUT W DROP

Mason Schutz

LET THE KITTY JOIN YOU 😭😭😭 Its little meows outside the door make me so sadddd! LMAO

TheSauceGuy

I thought Franziska wanted Magnus to follow her at first by the long look she gave him and then she looked at him when she left too lol.

A_Daddy Daichi

I can’t wait for the embodiment of pure aura

TheSauceGuy

Maybe I'm stupid and misremembering, but many of the police officers in their town don't even seem to have guns while on duty, let alone off duty. I'm unsure of why this is and if it's realistic; maybe it depends on where they're stationed for the day, Charlotte was in the office and then was supposed to pick her daughter up. Regardless, many European countries (including Germany) have far more well-trained police than the US. Guns aren't pulled as quickly in Europe, for the countries that even arm their regular police. While the US has more violent crime than much of Europe, have a look at the number of people per year American police kill with firearms compared to European countries; I don't think the disparity is justified. Edit: We see a strapped guy at the power plant lol

TheSauceGuy

Did the Chernobyl Disaster somehow break reality? If that's the case, it reminds me of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but I'm just grasping at straws. I'm so tempted to watch on my own so I can see all the hints from the reactions.

Renek

from episode 5 to the end of the series the rating is insane cant wait

Eywa

cannon's fact #011: "since when can a business imprison and beat you up"

zarita

Hello Patreon from Germany here - just wanted to give a little perspective on police work and guns in Germany. I do think they carry guns on duty but there is little to almost no threat of getting shot themselves since owning a gun is ilegal in Germany. A black market for guns is also not a thing here or maybe if you've got good connections to some heavy hitter crime organization then yeah maybe you'll be able to get a gun but it's just not a common thing here. Also even if you have a hunting license or license to carry a gun which is super difficult to attain here - you'll still have to keep it locked away at all times and you're NOT allowed to shoot anybody not even if they walk/break onto your property. So that's why police is pretty casual in the series especially in such a small town in Germany. Totally realistic! It's different from the U.S but it works for Germany and honestly I've never heard of a cop getting shot here 🤔

zarita

Also I don't want to undermine that there are still issues here regarding police brutality etc. - just recently a really young cop died on duty due to being stabbed down which is more of a threat here in Germany. But shootings happen very rarely

Frosty

I just need Jack to know that the viewers at home are listening to him, even if no one in that room is 😭

Ante

You know you're watching Dark when you catch your self muttering random German throughout the day.

Yuion

Honestly i would say just do it. Not many shows have as high of a rewatch potential as this. Even on my 4th rewatch i noticed things i didnt notice before

Yuion

Oh im so happy im not the only one. On my first watch I found the first few episodes to be quite boring but people told me to keep going. Episode 5 onwards is where I think it gets interesting because you finally have enough puzzle pieces and the characters are all in place so you can finally start doing the theorizing

Jessica

I say scheisse (spelling sorry) a little too often lol

Ante

I have a phrase i repeat as well but its a spoiler at this time.

Rasmus Kjær Poulsen

My wife is working at an elder home. I can assure you that old people runs off all the time. The thing is, its not some locked up institution or anything. The old people are free to leave. Unfortunately its government-funded and usually understaffed and/or staffed with inadequate staff, so there's not way to always keep an eye on everyone. There has been a few times I was out driving with my wife and she noticed one of the confused elderly walking around outside so we had to stop for her to follow him back home.

Vlad Lena

Elisabeth is eight. It was mention in this episode. And usually boys grow up later than girls so it’s make sense that Mikkel and Elisabeth look like they are the same age even he is three years older

bloartle

Carter at the end of last episode: I think Mikkel is the guy in the trench coat because him being Jonas' dad is too obvious. Carter in the beginning of this episode: I think Mikkel being the guy in the trench coat is too obvious. Jack last episode: Does NOT think the guy in the trench coat and Jonas' dad are the same person. Carter this episode: "That's why Jack thinks [Mikkel and trench coat guy are] the same person" Gaslighting has reached a whole new level😭. Never change Carter😭😭

Nash

Cannon’s face when Elizabeth got slapped 😭😭😭

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I second Yuion, the rewatch effect elevates to a level I can't even describe ... like an ethereal sensitive lingering HIGH.

Mysterious Figure

You guys get surprised by so many things about how stuff works in Europe. Yes, retirement homes let their elderly leave if they want if that's the kind of retirement home since there are different kinds. And yes, schools expect their students to show responsibility for their actions, so the school will not manage each and every facet of a student's behavior and lock them up everywhere. If you treat people as caged animals to be locked up that's the behavior you train them to show later in life, but if you teach people to be responsible for their actions and take initiative then you help people learn how to be exactly that. Actions have consequences. Letting people suffer consequences of their actions while also providing them freedom teaches them more than stopping them from ever doing anything bad. You help kids learn from their mistakes. Obviously, within reason. It is partly an influence of the laissez-faire approach which focuses on letting the individual make their own decisions based on the responsibility assigned to them, while the "grown up" or the teacher is there more so to manage, not to be a dictator nor in a position with a strong focus on authority. It promotes more creative thinking, more independent individuals, that aren't scared to take initiative and think for themselves, and aren't scared to challenge authority if needed.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Yeah US not only does basically the opposite, but twists any semblance into destructive hyper-rugged individualism, and anti-social 'personal responsibility".

Mysterious Figure

Don't get me wrong, I feel things have been on a downward trend over here too (everywhere for that matter) since the kind of individualism you are describing has been slowly creeping into our education system too. It's to be expected when the governments aren't really investing into raising the teacher's paychecks appropriately. The speed of our social and mental adaptability isn't fast enough to keep up with the ever growing development in technology and globalization, so those two things erode our societal structures faster than we can adapt. We do need a drastic shift in focus and a radically more adaptable curriculum because everything we have now is already outdated since the growing new tech makes the current curriculum obsolete super fast.

Yuion

I personally think its more the development of technology and schools not being able to keep up and adjust teaching strategy to the new environment which is the major reason why we see a global downward trend Schools that have adjusted well to it usually do much better

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

It's a factor of many things unsustainable, outdated and evolving, coming towards convergence, for sure ... now emphasizing among education systems, as said ... and through the decades of neoliberalism, coming to roost.

Elle B.

Speaking for the US: The “waiting 24 hours” to file a missing persons report is a myth. Especially for children or people you think might be in danger. You are allowed to file a missing persons report at any time. The myth was perpetuated by how police treat low-priority cases, such as someone who hasn’t come home from work yet or an adult that may have gone somewhere without contacting anyone first. If that’s the case, they may advise someone to wait a few hours (sometimes 24 hours) to see if that person returns home on their own before filing a report, since there’s no immediate danger. But there’s no rule or law saying that you have to wait before going to the police.

jrnoodles

Thanks! Would be funny if trench coat guy is a completely new character and the Geks were wrong all along.

SirCatelot

Cannon why are you slapping Carter over lipstick. cmon

Sasha

The guns are just american thing😂

Sasha

I tell you what's a classic misdirect. Jack denying reading the manga

The night is Dank and full of Memers

Anytime you think youve figured this show out. Remember what Bernd Doppler said to Claudia. "What we know is a drop, what we don't, an ocean."

The night is Dank and full of Memers

This has been so funny. And he also comes up with wild theories for stuff that literally isnt even a mystery and the show flat out told tem multiple times names of people:P

Tyler

1:34 I swear Brig is never really listening when any of the guys are talking, then just totally interrupts them at least once a video

𝓓𝓪𝓷𝓪

I love seeing an intelligent lad aka Jack with his 200 IQ :coolboy:

Garlic

Are y'all still dropping episode 5?

Garlic

Not keeping track of all kids at all times especially when they're going missing is crazy to me. Your not even safe IN schools over here (US), cant imagine that level of "meh they'll be fine" from teachers.

Chris Roark

You guys need to watch the intro please 🙏 it’s meant to be watched

Billie

👴🏻: tick tock Carter: MADS 👴🏻: tick tock Carter: MADS 👴🏻: tick tock Carter: MADS

A_Daddy Daichi

I’ve listened and watched so many stories of police disregarding family of a missing person. More so from like the 70s-90s. The way so many victims or perpetrators could have been saved and/or found earlier if they took it seriously is 🤯

Elle B.

Yup!! There are plenty of incompetent police departments that don’t do/haven’t done their jobs correctly or don’t take families seriously. I’ve been infuriated by too many crime documentaries.

༒ dianna ༒

oh shit "Sic Mundus Creatus Est" and the Emerald Table are here.

༒ dianna ༒

Dissapear in german is verschWINDEN, W is pronounced as V and V as F so the word is pronunced Fea-sh-vinden.

༒ dianna ༒

Carter needs to be stopped he keeps gaslighting Jack fr 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Huxley Bennett

The theories you guys are coming up with aren't necessarily that bad tbh, thing is that yes you should be thinking outside the box, but you have no idea what the box is yet

Ophelia

“Is it American or is it just called common sense” IM SORRY BUT UR SO REAL FOR THAT LMAOOOO

Arctic_stark

People on this show are way too comfortable walking through the woods alone, and maybe its because I am a big city person but that seems crazy to me. Especially when folks in town are disappearing.

Dale Thomas

I'm currently in Germany and they have very strict laws on guns. From what I've seen the police don't carry them, only tazzers and batons and the such. Their military are the only people I've seen with guns.

Zechree

Carter losing it at the eyepatch is so funny

Sora

Good predictions

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

The thing is tho perpetrators in Europe just wouldn't have guns either. No need to use deadly force or weaponry, when the greatest threat is probably possible resistance. Yeah, suspects could use weapons, but then again there's no need to prioritize defense against deadly use.

Ophelia

It was just funny I wasn’t trying to start a debate lol

NMP

Put the fries in the bag mom is crazy

Alexa

I can't stand seeing this little ole kids in danger but I gotta see what happens. I'm wondering if since Yasin is deaf the head piece thing will effect him differently? Also maybe Noah only takes boys since he clearly spared Elizabeth. So many questions indeed I
