Myles

noooo yall dropped this right when i gotta go to work 💀💀

Roy Koopa

Wait. Do you guys record your intros after you watch the episodes?

Bambina

Oh boy

Nomaan

nooooooooo I hate this episode with a PASSIONNNNNNNN especially after knowing what comes next😭

Harper

Tell me that you cursed D&D a lot in this episode please (I haven’t watched the reaction yet)

Harper

Someone forgot to tell you that the last episode of Game of Thrones was the one you reacted to two days ago... everything from then on is a story created by fans

Nomaan

Missandei my Queen and Rhaegal were done SO DIRTY

Icchi

Carter with the GOAT shirt 😤💪🏾

Griffin

Before I even begin watching, already feel bad for the geks. Get ready for character assassination across the board by D&D.

Marc-Etienne M Jobin

Jon Snow would've known at like 3 years old if he was immune to fire. We all play with candles as kids.

Scinaps

Let's goooo 😃 wish they left the Starbucks cup in ☕️

Ryan Ry

Lord of the Sus Brig knows how the story ends, has known it since like season 2 since hes been reading the wiki on his phone since forever, so every time he goes "oh that sucks" or "oh thats surprising" you can tell that hes just saying it for the reaction video, but he doesn't really mean it. can anyone else tell? its ok Lord of the Sus Brig - the facade is almost over. You can tell us the truth soon. You don't have to pretend any longer! Be free!

A_Daddy Daichi

well here we go guys..... can't watch until late tonight after work. not sure if that's a good or bad thing lmao

Mitch

Love the 360 no scope by Euron! Peak fiction.

kami

the scene with the girls at the beginning was the most cringe thing for me

Qhoa

W

lily p

so many platonic relationships ruined and for relationships that would never even see the light of day realistically. like what was the point lol

ssj4rit

Carter is so done lol

Afra

Best birthday gift ever 🥳<333

Kneegrow

Game Of Goats 🔥🔥

GB3

Damn you Geks. I swore that I would never watch these last 3 episodes ever again but I’ve come this far with your journey, there’s no backing out now

Euphemia Isobel

Nothing but trash from here on out

Kim555

The way I routined my eating times to be around your drops should be studied

Euphemia Isobel

You mixed up your intros 😭😭

Nomaan

To answer Brig’s question about Jon being able to burn, yes he can. We saw it in the first season when he grabbed the fire lantern or whatever it was to kill the wight in Castle Black when saving lord commander Mormont

EMG

Love this episode!

I❤️movies&tvshows

They took out the Starbucks cup McKay John was burnt is season 1. Matt Smitt says Daemon is fire proof. So it’s not every Targaryen

Philbo

THIS FUCKING EPISODE.... i was fucking dreading this episode. "Dany forgot about the iron fleet" BRO WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE FORGOT???? when this dropped, i don't think I've ever been so damn aggravated about a show in my life. like damn near everything pissed me off but hearing the SHOWRUNNERS try to justify everything that happened. just left me speechless. Geks I'm telling you now. you will never see show go so downhill so quickly ever lol. just be prepared

Not today

Im so confused they are talking about Missandei dying. Is this the outro? Ill go finish watching but im so confused. She didnt die at end of last episode

Zipzzty

YES

Yoxxhio

sansa sucks so bad, and John is so slow thinking the secret wouldn't get out.

Blackeyedlily

Just checking your final comments, since I don’t have the time to watch this at the moment. But I will say that Jamie‘s story in the books is definitely going in a different direction. I would even venture to say that at the point that the books left off at he has split from Cersei for good. If you think that is too much of a spoiler for people who haven’t read the books, I will be happy to edit this comment. But I think people who are very unhappy with with Jamie’s story in the show would be happy to know that is not the way the books are going.

Yoxxhio

Daenerys has wanted to take her dragons and unsullied and take the throne for seasons now and Tyrion has told her not to. And now Tyrion tells her to go talk to Cersei, like she is going to back down. the writing went downhill for a lot of characters

Nomaan

Just like there’s annoying Dany stans, there’s also the same Jon fans and I fear Jack is one of them😭

Alexa

Probably because we didn't see what happened in the crypts

engraved

this is the first reaction im straight up going to skip i legit cant watch this episode again LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Amna 🍉

I don't even want to watch this💀💀

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Wow the pain of waiting is even with the pain of enduring, but I kinda forgot. I'm not even supposed to be here. Yet, here I am. Pts masochism

Leo

So, you are in that annoying Dany fans?

Nomaan

Happy birthday! Mine was 2 days ago😭 Dany fans all Libras?

SirCatelot

Since later half of season 8 is complete garbage and will leave a bad taste in our mouths, could we watch Band of Brothers after? to rince our mouths

Amna 🍉

one of the worst things this show ever did was make sansa out to be a targ hater when in canon she’s a fangirl of Aemon and Naerys, in the books she's currently palling around with Mya who has targaryen ancestors and Sansa also heavily parallels one of Rhaenyra's son, iykyk. like you expect me to believe the girl who loves songs & fairytales wouldn’t be a fan of rhaenys the conqueror🙄

Amna 🍉

Pleaaaase watch Alice in Borderland

Kite

gek book club for A Song of Ice and Fire when? 😈

Amna 🍉

YOU NEED TO WATCH THE LAST TABLE READ

Afra

I wanted to text the same thing with you but I love that! and Emilia herself is also a libra the coincidence?!😂🫶🏻

bateman bookworm

guys don’t try and make sense of rhaegals death or the greyjoy fleet scene, don’t waste your energy💀

Amna 🍉

Are any of the Geks interested in reading the books? I want to send them so ya'll can see everything you're missing out on

Sora

This is content, 10/10 comedy

Scinaps

Poor Ghosts little face. Best boi doesnt even get a pat🐶 😢

TheSauceGuy

Dany kind of forgot about the Greyjoy fleet.

creeper doodle

He really is lmao and these last few seasons really try to pit Jon stans and Dany stans against one another. He fell right for it smh

Seth Aasland

this was certainly an episode!

jblakk

Episode being booty aside, this might shockingly be Tyrions first good cock joke. Atleast it was used to forward the plot lol. Let me find a diamond in the middle of the shit pile. Let me cope.

Amna 🍉

Thank god some of season 5, all of season 6,7, and 8 is not canon to me. I would actually lose my mind

roonil

usually I rush to watch the reactions but I can't bring myself to click on it 😭

Amna 🍉

I absolutely hate, like HAAATE, how so many of you dislike season8 but still hold characters to what they did in the later seasons. ESPECIALLY, Dany and Sansa. While also making excuses for the male characters💀💀

Euphemia Isobel

Yeah Jack has been hating on Dany for a while but it is what it is they wrote her into trash

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Brienne: >is a highborn (whose maidenhood Jaime salvaged) >but hahahahahaaaa virginity! (which Jaime then defiles) The character arcs are character arcing yall!

Amna 🍉

The way The Tyrells and Martells were wiped out, houses that have existed for centuries, and nobody said anything about them or cared.... The way Cersei blew up so many innocent people INCLUDING HER OWN UNCLE??? and never faced any consequences... The way Arya took out a whole house where she basically told the maids the Starks are behind this and faced no consequences....

Pulse rifles suck in pve

id bet they probably sometimes do the intro for the next episode after the outro so things are still fresh on their mind and it accidentally ended up at the start of this. That or they watched episode 5 as well and it got spliced at the wrong part

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Daenerys felt very lonely in that scene. She doesn't really know these people and they don't know her. She dreamt of returning to her home FOR YEARS but now that she is here she feels foreign and unwelcome sometimes. Especially with Jorah gone... Back where she came from she never felt threatened by other rulers because people knew and supported her. Here, she is not as beloved or respected as Jon and it hurts her. Especially the phrase "Who climbs a fucking dragon and fight?! A madman or a KING?" like obviously it's not gonna make her feel good because she has done exactly that, sitting right beside Jon. But the thing is, she would never get the same treatment (again, because they don't know her close) and she understands that.

TheSauceGuy

Brig, Jon burned his hand on a lantern in season 1 or 2 lol. Also, the fireproof thing is purely a Daenerys thing in the show and isn't even the case in the books.

Ayaulym🇰🇿

I really HATE the "without the Ramsay or the Little Finger I would've stayed the little bird all my life". Like UGH THIS is what I talk about when I say there is a problem of writers who think in order for female character to toughen up she has to go through SA. No SA survivor would say this shit. Moreover, ithey made it sound like she gives those men credit to how smart and strong she became. Idk doesn't sit right with me when one of them was her rapist... Also the fact that Sansa didn’t even have to get married to Ramsay and get raped by him since in the books it doesn’t happen. Like even back in season 5, writers immediately used the opportunity of the actress not being a minor anymore and just made that scene. As if she couldn’t get tough just by the things she experienced before. I mean Sansa almost got SAed before, wouldn’t that be “traumatising enough” for “character development”🤡

kami

it's so sad that Daenerys canonically kind of forgot about Euron's fleet...

bateman bookworm

we already knew they couldn’t write women but that line was genuinely shocking!!! like sure if it was just little finger but to say ramsey is CRAZY

Kite

Jon kinda sounds like Peter Griffin at the beginning

Chantelle Miles

Dont even compare Arya...Arya has only ever killed the guilty not innocence like Dany and Cersei.

TheSauceGuy

I don't really want anymore.

Philbo

i just went back to recap myself on the next episode lol i CANT WAIT for that Reaction and Outro discussion lol

kami

and to think that considering all of Arya's abilities they could just send her to kill Cersei and end the war

Scinaps

From the same writers who gave us Arya and Sansa sex scenes so... go figure

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Not the Breanne and Jaime scene lmao. It felt even more like an incest than when Jaime and Cersei did it ahahaha. I always viewd their relationship as comradory and maybe a small crush from Breanne's side. It was even worse than Arya and Gendry with how unessesary it was. So out of nowhere and stupid. Remember how I told you that the writers are OBSESSED with making women lose their virginity.

Griffin

This was because they didn’t want to spend effects budget on it. They did ghost so dirty

Scinaps

So much for Direwolves being the symbol of House Stark. Such a waste

Griffin

Exact words of D&D “she forgot about the Iron Fleet” 💀

creeper doodle

Honestly I've been thinking that since season 7. The way they (and much of the audience) jumps at a chance to discount Dany and Sansa (always forgiving Arya tho, hm) is so disappointing.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

What Ramsey does is supposed to be unreadable in the books, so thinking they could just swap Sansa and then write it off as empowerment is so tone deaf and misogynistic, I can't. She will in fact learn in the books, but uh SA is NOT necessary.

TheSauceGuy

That's not true, they're like any other creature in that they can die from significant enough injuries. It just so happens that the only other one to die from a scorpion was hit in the eye. Keep in mind that these scorpions are FAR larger, but the accuracy of them was ridiculous, along with Dany being there in the first place.

alexis ♡︎

WOW i forgot how absolutely abrupt that dragon scene was holy shit, 3/3 is INSANITY WHAT

Scinaps

David Benioff also wrote Troy and there's a sex scene where a girl loses her virginity too...

Ana

Only thing to say is Cersei you evil Bitch. Misandei should of lived 😩😩 All of Jaime's character development down the drain. Left Brienne crying in her house coat smh

Griffin

Especially because she names the people as the reason and not giving herself credit instead. Even more gross

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Yeah they were very creepy and unprofessionally obsessed with mainly Maise & Sophie towards the end. The ick, it burns.

Amna 🍉

So my point clearly went over your head. Obviously nobody was sad about the Freys dying but these things have consequences lol. Is not like she did it in secret

Nomaan

Chantelle u completely missed the point but sure😭😭

Scinaps

It's that just all of Hollywood 😅 "Oh no something pure and wholesome... MUST CORRUPT, EXPLOIT AND DESTROY"

Nomaan

Hey Carter, I’m not sure if you remember but I asked on a previous video if y’all would react to some YouTube videos to round up the GOT journey? I’ve compiled a list for y’all to watch. Amna 🍉

Book Jorah and Tyrion can actually die in the worst way possible

Ryan Ry

Guys - they didn't "mess up the intro". This is exactly what I've been saying for months now. Lord of the Sus Brig KNOWSSSSSSS. Literally. "Oh RIP Missande Top 5 deaths" Then she dies at the end of the episode. Come on, sooooo obvious.

Ana

Next episode is my Favorite Dany moment I rocked with her after this Dracarys 🔥🔥🔥

Nomaan

I wish she was but I think she was born a day too late for that 😭

Steve

Dave and Dan really pulled out a first draft, faxed it over and called it good. Just spewed horseshit onto paper. Enough about them though, the cimematographer, the costume design, the music director; at least we can see their work on screen. You can see why House of Dragon is so polished, because the team behind season 7 and 8 really laid the groundwork. I about died when Varys was choking up water, I love that meme

JJ

oh ur a psycho. I need that. whats ur number

Ryan Ry

Guys - they didn't "mess up the intro". This is exactly what I've been saying for months now. Lord of the Sus Brig KNOWSSSSSSS how the story ends for months. Literally. "Oh RIP Missande Top 5 deaths" Then she dies at the end of the episode. Come on, sooooo obvious.

Scinaps

Add the R+L=J video to that list 😃 https://youtu.be/3xaspBsfgRg?feature=shared

TheSauceGuy

Cannon when more wholesome (but kinda forced) relationship: 🤮 Cannon when incestuous aunt and nephew relationship: 😍

Amna 🍉

"Jon Snow the Unburnt" yea how about no

Ryan Ry

Its because Lord of the Sus Brigs has seen and knows the end of GOT and has been pretending this entire time and they slipped with their "intro". He talked about how missandae died, but then she doesnt die until the end of this episode. So obvious.

Gobbo

Yeah things really go downhill from here. Characters aren't acting like themselves

Nomaan

Funny how jacks the one who said that considering he really doesn’t like Dany but will gladly give her titles to someone else 😭 I mean the show is a joke atp anyway so why not😂

Scinaps

In the words of Ramsey: "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention."

Nomaan

I knew I was forgetting one😭 I prefer this one by Alt Shift X? https://youtu.be/kHqzFwodZqQ?si=mhQn7Kjpdqop1LIx

Jigga Man

Looking at this again.. Danny was going through it man. Jorah and a dragon dead fighting for the North and the world.. and the North still doesn't accept her. Losing Missandei and another dragon after she thinks the worst of it is over. The final words of Missandei being Dracarys.. Even Rhaenyra would just fuck up KL under the succession of losses of like that. Fuck these people, fuck their queen, fuck the advice of my shit hand that's gotten us here. Danny was really trying to be Viserys but everything that happens to her just pushes her more to Maegor and I can't really blame her.

Ryan Ry

Its because Lord of the Sus Brigs knows the end of GOT for months now because hes been reading the wiki on his phone and wathing YT vids even though he tells us he doesnt know the end. And now he slipped and messed up. Clearly he knew Missandae dies and he says it in the "intro" but then she doesn't die until the end of the episode. So clearly Lord of the Sus Brig just pretends to be sad and pretends to "react" to the show for the views. We know Lord of the Sus Brigs. We know. Its ok youre almost at the end game. You dont have to pretend any longer.

Amna 🍉

Daenerys earlier in the seasons: "I know what my father did, I know he earned his name but I'm not my father" Daenerys now: Randomly calling people out for going against her father LIIIKE??? They tried so hard to make her the "Mad Queen" but they can never ruin Dany for me🤭 trust GRRM will do her justice

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Imagine gathering armies from all over the world, freeing cities, awakening dragons that were gone for hundreds of years, coming home and essentially saving their country from the Night King, letting Cersei stay as a queen to avoid blood shet and being nothing but polite & respectful just for them to turn around and call the person who doesn't want the throne a better ruler (it's because he is man. Like his gender is already a x2 points) P.S. Don't get me wrong Jon has done A LOT for the realm and the North BUT he hasn't done anything to become a ruler of 7 kingdoms like Dany has done. It is not his goal and his actions have never moved to that path yk.

Kelsey

I hated this episode so much the first time around that I dread watching this reaction 😭

Amna 🍉

The way i rolled my eyes bc Dany EARNED her titles, not to mention in the books she wasn't even giving herself all these names, other people were.

Amna 🍉

No wonder why the actor who plays Bran originally thought the scripts for season 8 was a prank

Scinaps

Both are good. Alt Shift X humor may be too much for them, but who knows... also his video is largely the book theory while the Robin one is a complication of the scenes from the actual show

Scinaps

🤣🤣🤣 season 8 is Ramseys revenge from beyond the grave

NINJA SWORD

Where's Hotpie when we needed him the most? The dragon died because the ironfleet had an invisiblity spell cuz how do u not see that many ships in open water from the sky? LOLL

Euphemia Isobel

And next episode Varys tries to poison her, fuck Westeros she should’ve let them all die

Ayaulym🇰🇿

the teleportation jutsu of the whole fleet is crazy. Each episode: Dany's advisors talk about the iron fleet Creators: "Dany kind of FORGOT about the iron fleet." ....

KrispyKenny

to be fair it's kind of been hinted at during their time as fugitives. back then nobody knew who gendry was and despite the class divide, Arya treats Gendry as an equal, making their bond feel organic. also arya’s connection with Gendry represents a rare moment of emotional vulnerability and personal choice, they just didnt have to make a whole sex scene out of it like with ramsay and sansa

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Yeah, unfortunately some become so obsessed with feeling invulnerable and empowered, they can only operate as victimizing predators.

Ana

Dany was definitely justified in her actions.

Shadow

Man I was busy af and need to catch up on the reactions but these episodes get so bad😂

Ana

@KrispyKenny idk why people are confused on Arya and Gendry it was always gonna happen

Zipzzty

The Downfall is crazy

TheSauceGuy

I don't remember Ghost being that small, but he is the runt of the litter.

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Not Dany's two most useless advisors getting bothered by her when all they had done was get dragons and people killed with nothing to gain... They are talking about her as if she is snake who manipulated Jon into doing whatever she wants, as if she didn't fly north and lose her dragon FOR Jon. Also the "He could temper her worst impulses. As you have" dialog doesn't make any sense. Al Dany did after coming to Westeros was listen to her advisors and save people, except for killing ONE army and house in a fair battle. She has exactly done what they have asked of her and yet here we are. The dialog would make sense if Dany was unstable, going around murdering people. She didn't. She made Gendry the lord, faught for North just as she promised and even let the army the North PROMISED HER stay and rest. Also what do they want? FORCE Jon into becoming the king? How? He doesn't want to fight for it, he doesn't have enough army and even the dragon is technically not fully his. Do they want to win the throne for Jon? Use Dany and kill her or smth? Like WHERE IS THE LOGIC

SirCatelot

I think the cgi department forgot how he looks like every now and then

SirCatelot

I swear you would have a blast reacting to Inside the Episode

I❤️movies&tvshows

I totally thought that because Cannon said give me Missandei of Naath. The Brig said her death was Top 5. I assumed we were seeing the wrong intro. But I think they were still talking about Lyanna from the episode before and not Missandei. At the end they said they were binging the last episodes. So, They may have still been talking about episode 3.

Kite

that Bron shirt is sick

Lydia

THE most disrespectful episode imo. Just crashes from here on. Go ahead and burn it all, Dany 😂😂😂

Scinaps

54:32 side eye 👀 from Brig was borderline sus

TheSauceGuy

The thing is, Dany isn't even Varys' chosen ruler in the books. Varys and Ilyrio wanted to paint Viserys and Dany as illegitimate while they prop up another ruler, likely a Blackfyre (you'll learn about the Blackfyres in Histories & Lore). Explaining how they would do this would take too long, but the dragon eggs hatching made accomplishing their plan much more difficult.

TheSauceGuy

Rhaegal and Viseron's deaths are definitely in the top 5 dumbest deaths in the show lol.

icynub

since they started season 8 I couldn’t even watch the new uploads🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

ipsssen

every character is now a plot device

TheSauceGuy

My reaction to the later seasons of GoT 54:46

JJ

its been that way since season 6. they just cared less and less as the seasons went on

Daenerys Targaryen

I should've have flown straight from Essos and landed inside the Red Keep and avoided alllll of this. But then again this isn't the real ending so it's all good 😉

Sanji

Peak absolute cinema 🔥

Jada

Jack and his side comments 😂

TheSauceGuy

Jaime, the biggest simp of Westeros with a stupid arc.

Ayaulym🇰🇿

McKay not being able to contain his laugh at the ridiculousness of certain moments has me cackling

Kite

now this is peak Game of Thrones

Sean Carroll

It’s been going downhill since season 5, they started to not act like themselves since season 7

GreetswithJudgement

Carter is looking the roughest he’s ever looked 😂 Jaime. Oh Jaime. My favorite character…

Jada

Jack trying his hardest to justify EVERYTHING is pissing me off so bad. NO Jack, they butchered jaime arc there is no if ands or buts

Sean Carroll

There are still people out there who think attack on titans ending is worse than this dogpile of garbage

Sean Carroll

“Well Dany kinda forgot about the iron fleet and eurons forces but they certainly didn’t forget about her” Dumb and dumber literally said this. Dany kinda forgot about her enemies, these guys just did not care at all anymore

Daenerys Targaryen

I also felt similar to you guys...by this point in the show, almost nothing made sense to me. It didn't even feel like the same show. All we can hope for is a remake or for George to finish the books!

Sean Carroll

Forgot to make an ep 3 comment so will combine comments later today when I have time

Sean Carroll

First there was offscreen travel, now we have offscreen conversations. Nobody who found out about Jon’s heritage found out onscreen in this episode, not one person

Jada

Jaime and Tyrion are my favorite characters, and seeing them go out like this was enraging.

Nikita M

Jon didn't bend the knee because they needed her dragons and armies. They already knew she has a large army and three dragons when he first went to Dragonstone to ask for help and he could have bent the knee then but he didn't. He said why he bent the knee. It was after Daenerys went to save them and lost a dragon that he saw she's willing to fight for others and risk her life and her dragons lives' so he gained respect for her. She already agreed to help them before Jon bent the knee.

Ayaulym🇰🇿

I already explained in the episode 8x2 that my main problem is not even that it happened it’s how it was shown. We watched Arya since she was a child, it’s the thing with Sansa. Like as soon as actress is old enough they want them to get naked on TV. They could’ve done so much with that time, I just thought it was unessesary

Ayaulym🇰🇿

I want them to react to Alt shift’s videos SO BAD. “The real Jon Snow” is PERFECT video for those who haven’t read the books. Same with Cersei’s and Tyrion’s videos. I think after the disappointment of the season 8, it would be a satisfying thing for them to watch. With all the possibilities and complexity of the books

Jada

I will never be a dany Stan, but trust me when I say, I was rooting for her to kill them all every single last one of them especially Sansa and Arya.

Nomaan

Not Sansa and Arya😭 the writers ruined them all but they’re still great characters

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Hey so another fan book fact. All the Dany’s titles there are used by people not herself. Like she doesn’t call herself all those long titles, people do that☺️

Sean Carroll

So have you guys finished the show yet? Can we just talk about it all now?

Jada

I forgot how badly these episodes pissed me off😂😂

Nope

They have finished it but maybe some people are watching along them

Ali

"Kingslayer... a man without honour..." Remember Jamie's arc back when he lost his hand and was vulnerable in that bath... The man who lost the only 2 things he loved... honour and swordplay. And yet, his better self kept coming out of the ashes... What I hate most about these later seasons is throwing away Jamie's whole character development to the trash can.

Nomaan

Obviously I don’t excuse what she did in the next episode but calling her mad when ignoring all this? And then again the writing for it doesn’t even make sense so whatever it’s not canon at the end of the day 😌

Ayaulym🇰🇿

I’m afraid NOTHING is as bad as this. In terms of fall of, all the amplitude of this fall is bigger than any tv show could have. Back in 2019 I never moved on from series as fast as I did from GOT. So in terms of disappointment it will always be the worst ending for me. AOT is ten heads above than this crap🤝

Jada

You should watch "ring of power" and "wheel of time" you will love those shows

Nomaan

That’s Dany in the club as she should’ve been at her age😭

jason 𒉭

dany is probably the most victimised character in season 8. she has the two most worthless advisors. one is just too stupid to be hand and the other one is already conspiring against her. and sansa.. who ever wrote sansa randomly becoming danys biggest hater. go get help. cuz it’s so dumb, she saved the north for you!!! “about why her?” when dany was on the field defending the north where were you sansa??? jon snow if you didn’t want it, you should’ve kept your mouth shut and they couldn’t even give missandei and rhaegal a good death smh…

GreetswithJudgement

Yep. I was over it years ago, told myself I didn’t care anymore but now that the Geks are watching it and I decided to rewatch it again, it brought back all my rage. My head hurts and I’m sick but not from a common cold. This particular episode gave me such a headache.

TheSauceGuy

Personally, I'd say they'd have to go back to season 5 and change things to make the show have a GOOD ending. In terms of Jon's character, they'd have to go back even further lol, at least season 4.

TheSauceGuy

I just find it funny that people are more bothered by Arya and Gendry, or Brienne and Jaime.

TheSauceGuy

You can say this from the start of season 7 and there are still tons of issues from seasons 5 and 6. Even seasons 1-4 have issues, but most aren't significant.

Amna 🍉

"I would've stayed a little bird all my life" 🤢🤢🤢 is ON SIGHT WITH D&D. My head can still not wrap around why they changed her perfectly good arc from the books to a side character arc.

Bellamy Blake

Jon actually put his siblings lives in danger by telling Dany and then his siblings after. There’s a reason Ned didn’t tell cat 💀 he’d rather be seen as a cheater than put the pressure of that secret on her. Not that the writing should be taken seriously but Sansa seems to have told Tyrion because she was worried about jons safety. She didn’t go seek him out herself. He went to her. She got nervous once he didn’t deny he was afraid of Dany. She saw it as a threat to Jon’s life. If ppl didn’t know about Jon, less are likely to care if Dany decided to just randomly have him executed. She def risked her own life by telling Tyrion too. I never noticed til now but you can see rhaegal flying kind of funky(wounded?)during the scene in the snow.

Amna 🍉

Yuuup. For Dany, they'll have to go all the way to season 2, specifically in the house of the undying.

Jada

I loved Sansa until season 7 when the writers didn't know what to do with her

Nikita M

Missandei dying in chains is still painful to see after all these years. I loved her friendship with Daenerys. 😔 There weren't really any other genuine girl friendships in the story. There was Shae and Sansa for a bit but that wasn't really the same because Shae didn't really know Sansa, she just grew to like her while serving her and it was more of an older sister relationship. If only they could write a friendship between Sansa, Dany and Arya. Something I had hoped to see since the beginning of the show. Sansa and Dany could have easily bonded over their trauma and life events. Arya canonically loves dragons and Targaryens. The heroes she looked up to and the reason she wanted to be a fighter not a lady were Targaryen and Dornish warrior women. She didn't even interact with Dany or her dragons ONCE. Disgrace.

Ayaulym🇰🇿

I am bothered 🙋‍♀️ because A) They didn’t have to sexualise Arya as much because we watched her grow up and it was just unnecessary. Also the actor became of age, so they def wanted to use that opportunity B) this show loved getting women lose their virginity even when it doesn’t serve any purpose or value. So it’s not that I hate the Arya and Gendry scene, I just thought “what’s the purpose of this scene?” C) With Breanne and Jaimie while Breanne had a one sided crush Jaime never showed romantic interest. He clearly still loves Cersei so it felt weird for them to just bang. Overall, it felt forced, unnecessary and out of nowhere. Like they just NEEDED a sex scene so they made all those plot points. P.S. I wanna add though that Dany and Jon bother me too. Because they are also dull and forced😔

Amna 🍉

You can't hate season 8 and what they did to Dany and still hold on to what characters like Sansa did in this season. They legit ruined most if not all characters. Also, wtf would Sansa actually do out there. Idc what anyone else did. Specifically, what would she have achieved being out there💀

Amna 🍉

Book Dany andSansa would get along so well😭 D&D just hated their female characters

Sanji

Does the 7 Kingdoms of Westeros include Dorne? Or is it 8 if Dorne never left?

Zipzzty

Crazy how this Journey Is Almost Finished

Mysterious Figure

Jon making Sansa and Arya swear was the most unfair childish thing he could have done. He basically expected them to unknowingly accept keeping a secret that they would find out is something which will make their brother miserable for the rest of his life. How can you expect your family to accept you are making a choice like that for yourself? Especially when they aren't sure he is even making it under proper circumstances, since Jon is under so much pressure to have this war won and keeping his honor, he is willing to sacrifice even his own identity and sense of self because he has always been a man to put others first before himself. Of course Sansa and Arya - his family, wont agree with that choice he is making for himself. That would make them literally show they dont care about him at all. What kind of family are you if you accept and support your brother's choice where he has consigned himself to a life of constant fake identity and lies, never being true to who he is, when he has been struggling his whole life to figure out WHO HE IS, and then FINALLY he finds out his own identity, FINALLY, and then it is taken from him AGAIN... I wouldn't keep his secret, nor would I support his choice because that would mean I wish him a life of misery, despite him not realizing what a mistake he is making with that choice. Sometimes, being a family means you have to tell your brothers and sisters if you think they are making a bad choice and do something to help them NOT make it. And if he wanted to be mature about it and take full responsibility for his decision, he should NOT have told ANYONE in the FIRST PLACE and carried that burden like his REAL father NED STARK did, like a PROPER MAN. Him telling them was him being a child. A man would have been sure of himself and his choice, and wouldnt have needed any reassurance from anyone. This "swear you will keep it a secret before I tell you" crap is for children, not for grown men. Real men take responsibility for their own burden, and if he was really TRULY sure of himself he would have carried the secret HIMSELF. But I imagine he wasnt sure, and thats why he told. He knew somewhere deep inside it was wrong.

Daenerys Targaryen

And as if I wouldn't have seen Iron Fleet ships from way up high on my dragon! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Gobbo

I guess I should clarify that I meant it starts to plummet / freefall into what one can only call absolute madness. I agree there are lots of things that are not typical GoT, starting with season 7.

jason 𒉭

i know they ruined all of the characters including dany. and we will talk about it next episode cuz that was pain. but characters such as tyrion have been ruined since season 6. and i put “who ever wrote” sansa hating on dany cuz i know its not canon but the writers aren’t on the screen and the characters are . and i’m not saying sansa should’ve been on the field my point is that sansa has all this attitude towards dany is just dumb. cuz if you don’t have the skills to be on the field should you really be giving attitude to the person who saved your life?

Myles

it’s technically supposed to be the 6 Kingdoms, but someone included Dorne (at the cost of them being able to still have royalty, that’s why u still hear Prince of Dorne) so it’s 7

Matthew Jackson

we watch the dothraki and unsullied, even the northerns and Vale get slaughtered and they say we only lost half LMAO. Dumb and Dumber are so lazy. and the forgets about the Iron Fleet makes it 100x worse

Sanji

Sansa is giving me Cersei vibes rn

Matthew

This is where I stop defending the show for this last season. There were some good elements, but overall too much nonsensical things happen and too much all at once. I love GoT, but it’s heartbreaking it came to this.

Lexi Mae

to call her a tyrant after is just insane. also the bad writing doesn’t help either lmao

Lexi Mae

in the books there’s definitely gonna be fire and blood in kings landing before the long night. D&D dropped the ball so hard making the show about the throne when the core story is really between the two forces of fire and ice 😑they really zapped the magic right out of it lol

Lexi Mae

at the end of the day guys, it’s really not the geks fault. i hope no one criticizes their opinions too much when the core problem relies with the show writers. they’re doing their best okay!😭

BloodyBen

Carter is so real bro (the facial expressions)

Lexi Mae

another crazy thing: jon has no reaction to his soul bonded dragon dying

Ana

Lmaooo L take. Jon didn't want the secret out. Point blank. Don't include Arya in this. Sansa's the one who betrayed her brother's wishes and ended up causing Jon to actually be miserable. Like where do you get your takes from??? If a family member asked me not to say something almost begging me I'm gonna keep their secret. Sansa didn't expose Jon's secret because she cared about him she did it out of spite and selfishness. She didn't like Dany and wanted her brother on the throne so she could rule the North. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Hannah

Missandei’s death was used as an excuse to push Danaerys towards her transformation of being the mad queen I’d consider her death the most unforgivable in GOT very poor writing

Lexi Mae

i sat at my screen in disbelief when dany, the queen of speeches, said absolutely nothing to her “people”. WHAT IS GOING ON

Sanji

Season 8 GoT so goated it leaves Carter speechless 🔥🔥🔥

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Took me hours to get through with pausing for cringe and multitasking, but I feel a sense of accomplishment 😁 Feel really bad for all, especially Carter whose always just like me fr 😒🫠 Now exhausted from frenzy and grief, at least I'll sleep well tonight! Thanks for keeping 'em coming! 🫶🏾

Bellamy Blake

Why? Did she try to stop the truth coming out about who should be serving as protector of the realm, like Cersei tearing up Robert’s signed document appointing Ned? And what happened to Ned after that🤔

mk

i dont even know if i wanna watch this again

Sanji

Oathbreaking and lying which hinders her own house just to self-fulfill her own ego. Feels Cersei to me.

Bellamy Blake

Ned did the same thing to protect his daughters in Season 1. In fact he did even more because he withheld the truth from Robert in order to give Cersei and the kids a chance to live and not be executed. Idk I just think it’s silly to act like Sansa’s intentions are evil or selfish. But whatevs, to each their own.

Sanji

Some hindsight comments spoiling the next episodes :/

Biko Otaa

Arya: we needed her, we needed her dragons. Arya: I don’t need many allies

Sanji

Ned self-sacrificed himself to protect his daughters. Sansa has not done any self-sacrifice for the sake of others. In fact, she’s sacrificing her own house for selfish wants.

Mysterious Figure

So if your family member decided on doing something to themselves you KNOW is going to make them suffer, decided to tell you about it and asked you to keep the secret, you think this is a fair thing to ask? And you would do it? Like how extreme an example do we have to make where you will backpedal on your opinion here? Probably you would accept almost everything up until they said they would commit suicide and only then would you reveal their secret plan to stop them? I mean, where is the line for you then, Im curious? This is a grey area for most people when it comes to stuff like these anyway, except for the suicide example Id imagine. I cant believe you think Sansa caused Jon to be miserable, when in fact he is ALREADY miserable before he even told Sansa and Arya because he already feels like keeping this secret is wrong and he is only doing it since he is honor bound by his previous promise to The Queen. Also, I dont agree that Sansa's motivation for revealing Jon's secret is spite for Danny or selfishness. She or Jon would rule the North one way or the other anyway with or without Jon there. She would obviously be happier if her brother is with her I imagine, but I think she wants what will make her brother happy. If you honestly think after everything Sansa's been through over the years that her strongest desire is to rule, I think you have misunderstood her character. Finally being home, her family's and her brother's happiness is definitely more important to her than any spite or ruling anything.

Sanji

Sansa’s intentions aren’t evil or bad, but they aren’t noble like Ned starks. Her intentions are just self-serving. Ned would want the North to join up with Daenerys.

Bellamy Blake

She made it clear she wanted Jon to stay in the north because she thinks he will be safer there. How is it in her benefit for him to stay in the north if she’s just being selfish? With him gone she is lady of Winterfell and in control. Cersei would never pass an opportunity for power. Sansa doesn’t look like she’s gonna tell Tyrion until he doesn’t deny that he’s afraid of Dany. That’s enough for Sansa to feel getting Jon’s identity out is the best chance for his safety.

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Here are some of the funniest book Jon Snow quotes to cheer you guys up. Please check it out ;) https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMhBAysyA/ P.S. my personal favorite of all time "I'll go" Jon said in a clipped, curt voice. "M'lord," Janos Slynt reminded him. "You'll address me" "I'll go, my lord. But you are making a mistake, my lord. You are sending the wrong man, my lord. Just the sight of me is going to anger Mance. My lord would have a better chance of reaching terms if he sent-" Lmao

Matthew Jackson

Missandei last words being Dracarys is the best dumb and dumber could think of

Q So Raww

37:06 is the worst thing D&D did

mk

it is so frustrating that dany and jon never talk about the simplest solution to their problem: just fucking marry, ezpz

Sanji

I mean, I think it’s as simple as: Jon Snow begged Arya and Sansa to not spill this secret. They both love Jon. Yet Arya didn’t spill it, but Sansa did. Sansa broke her oath despite Jon’s begging. Sansa broke her oath because she thinks she knows better than Jon. That’s aroggance. Yes, she did it out of care. But let’s not pretend it’s not also self-serving ambition and arrogance.

Ana

Lmaoooooooo what show are you watching....? Stop putting in hypotheticals that don't relate to the show. Jon was not miserable because he loved Dany. And we know what happens at the end. Making Jon miserable because he lost the woman he loved because Sansa couldn't keep a secret. If Jon wanted the world to know he would of said it. Jon doesn't want to rule. The secret getting out will cause all this chaos when Jon just wants peace. Sansa's whole arc this season was about making the North independent. She didn't tell the secret out of the goodness of heart. She told it because she wanted Dany out of the equation because she has this made up beef for Dany. And hate her for no reason. Arya who is actually the closest to Jon didn't tell his secret. Because she respected his wishes. So why did Sansa run her mouth??? Because she wanted to Rule the north. Meaning telling this secret would get rid of Jon too so she can rule the North which she doesn't deserve at all. Last if my family told me to keep a secret again I am keeping it. Because that is their business and if they ask me to do it I'm gonna respect them. Or do you not know the concept of secrets....? Secrets are not suppose be told. Especially your family secret.

Sanji

Honestly story wise, I kinda like everything that has happened. It’s just executed and paced horribly 😭

Brig Andrus

I’m sick 😔

Bellamy Blake

Arya didnt spill it because she wasn’t talking To Dany’s hand who is basically saying he’s afraid of his Queen. The same hand that is siblings to Cersei Lannister of all people is afraid of Dany…what was Sansa supposed to think ? Best believe Arya would support Sansa if it meant protecting Jon at any cost. It’s kinda hard to have faith when Jon was clearly thinking with his dick and didn’t deny it when Sansa asked. “Oh a powerful person who claims to love one of my family members and also is obsessed with the iron throne..hmm I think I’ve seen this film before and didn’t like the ending.”- Sansa probably. The choice between honoring her oath and Jon’s safety seems pretty in line with Ned. Jon didn’t even keep is own oath when he gave his people away to Dany without their consent. anyways, agree to disagree👍🏽

TheSauceGuy

I never said it served a purpose, just that it wasn't as weird to watch to me. It felt more forced but less weird, but maybe I just don't like watching incest! She was 22 in season 8, so idk why people make it seem like she'd just turned 18; she's barely younger than Sansa's actress irl. Jaime clearly shows interest in Brienne, so idk what you mean there. His interest in Cersei feels more forced if anything, especially later on.

Jake R

Welcome to the worst 3 episodes in television, relatively speaking

bateman bookworm

i don’t get the varys and tyrion dialogue. In what ways has tyrion failed in “reigning” dany in from her “madness”? Genuinely what has she done that’s impulsive and mad so far? Kill the tarlys? two soldiers in opposition to her? If you are going to call her mad then make her mad

Alex

Danny sacraficed so much she deserves to be queen. All the other characters around her are acting wierd and forgetting that fact. The writting is so off. The dragon death scene is the most bullshit thing ever. The explanation in the post episode is that it was a surprise attack and Danny forgot about Euron lmao. Also the Balista were angles at a 30 degree angle how are they sniping a dragon in the sky!! Most shit writting. There is no way Danny loses a dragon to that shit its so bad omg!

hollow soul

I love game of thrones

James Wilson

Hear me out… imagine there’s no Kobe moment and when Cirse doesn’t send her army to help, they just dip with all the civilians in Westeros that want to come and let the night king take kings landing and then they conquer a frozen fortress of the red keep with all three dragons and a full army. Once they kill the night king you see the ice start melting and the sun return…roll credits

Nomaan

I’m gonna try and comment this on their remaining GOT uploads hoping one of them see it😭

Mysterious Figure

So if Jon was supposed to keep this secret as Danny asked him, why did he tell it to Sansa and Arya then? Funny how you put the blame on Sansa for revealing this secret but not on Jon betraying Danny's trust? Jon didn't want to keep this secret himself either. Thats why he told his family in the first place. It was too big a burden for him to bear. So what was the point of him telling Sansa and Arya that he is choosing to live a miserable life of lies about his identity for his whole life? That was the biggest pain for his whole life in the first place - not knowing where he came from. I think you know the answer to that question - he told them because he wanted to share that burden of misery of his choice with the two of them. Is that fair? Hey, I am deciding to live the life of misery for myself and I've decided to tell you my choice so you can feel my pain too since you're my family and all. Thanks bye! Yeah, real grown up big man stuff right there from Jon right? Jon basically entrapped his sisters into a promise that he knew would hurt them too if they accepted it since they have to accept watching their brother deny himself what he has been searching for his entire life for and for the wrong reasons. So why tell them then? Why not just keep it to himself since there is no point in telling them other than to relieve himself of some of the burden? This is why I say his decision was childish and weak. Ned Stark would, and DID carry his burden to his grave. If Jon REALLY wanted Danny to be his Queen and if his identity was less important to him than her, he would have shut up and gone on with it.

Nomaan

Also something Varys said in that convo with Tyrion about Dany talking about destiny and how she’s convinced she was sent to save the world… well ngl she kinda was? The dragons are a gift from the lord of light to fight and kill the white walkers? Without Dany and the armies and dragons, everyone quite literally would’ve died? So I mean technically she WAS sent to save the world when u think about it😭

ssj4rit

Someone translated the IMDB ratings of game of thrones episodes to piano music and it really illustrates the downfall: https://youtu.be/tVR5Ju8gNys?feature=shared

Brig Andrus

What are we supposed to do make up alternate character lines in our brains? 😂 We’re reacting to the show and sadly the show makes a lot of these characters so unbearable at the end.

Bellamy Blake

What's funny is the show even shows us the correct course of action in that situation. Stannis was like "I ain't going out like Ned Stark, tell EVERYBODY Joffrey is a bastard."

Mason09

yall hating the jamie and brienne thing was surprising and weird. who would dislike that of all things

Nasty

Would be nice to have the two last episodes this weekend to be done with it :P

Bellamy Blake

I thought the primary theme of the story is that nobody deserves the iron throne? The small folk dont care who sits on it. As long as they have peace and their lives aren’t threatened. Anyone who brings war with them doesn’t deserve it. Not even Robb Stark when his reasons seemed noble (saving his family)etc. isn’t GRRM a raging pacifist? Dany basically has nukes, I doubt even the books will put it as simple as “Dany deserves to be queen.”

MagicSquirrel

Wait, did you skip an episode ? Went from the dark night fight to you guys discussing missandei's death here. Wtf

Ante

Tyrion single handedly turned Danaery's campaign from a 98:2 to a 40:60. Diabolical stuff. This man has handed out nothing but L after L to his team for 4 straight seasons! Also, Jon: Keep your mouth shut for the greater good challenge (IMPOSSIBLE). Jesus wept, what a blunder.

Melczech

Jon's not a simp. He said that he's tired of fighting, doesn't want to rule, and wished he was going North with Tormund. He believes that Daenerys is the true Queen, regardless of who he really is. He's been Jon Snow all of his life, and his only desire was to be named Stark. Something to keep in mind for future reference, while you guys continue to rag on the show. The writing isn't perfect, but the acting is stellar and deserves respect. I feel bad for the cast and crew. All the hard work they put into this show, just to have people whinge about it and rip it apart.

Marc Davey

far from it! tyrion was trying to stop her from turning into her father, if he wanted to win he wouldve let her burn kings landing when she first got there but hes not about winning like that, he tried to do it the good way but unfortunaltely it didnt work out

Branflakes

I hate how they killed a Dragon like that... Such a disgrace. So many terrible writing choices in these last few episodes, it actually makes me sick. Also, they totally butcher Jamies character... He literally saved the people of kings landing from the mad king back in the day and now he says he doesn't care about people lol its just silly

zaphyre

It is so annoying how we spend 6 seasons with Daenerys stuck on the other side of the world gathering armies, allies, political knowledge and taking care of 3 dragons by herself only for her to get to Westeros and the people there to be like "yes but Jon is so much cooler, isn't he?". And I get it, they see Dany as a foreigner in comparison to Jon who has fought battles on their land, but they way the writers basically make you feel like you wasted years watching seasons of build up only for everything she did to not even really matter even though she is literally THE KEY character when it comes to defeating the White Walkers aka the biggest threat of the entire story since episode 1??? Some insane decisions truly lol

Brig Andrus

Bc he never loved her! Hence why he leaves her 😂. Felt for brienne tho she deserves the best

Mason09

good point. in the books jamie like actually loves her fs and always has internal dialogue talking abt her

Amna 🍉

Omg no this wasn't about you!!! It was towards a certain group of people in the comments

Bellamy Blake

I get what you mean but I always thought it was intentional. Just very poorly executed. I think this post explains better than I ever could https://www.quora.com/Why-does-Daenerys-have-so-many-fans/answer/Kelsey-L-Hayes?ch=15&oid=166278452&share=69305590&srid=uIPuZE&target_type=answer

Alex

At this point the show should be simple cause that’s all they are capable of writting. As of now she deserves it. Many people deserved things but died. The writers aren’t capable of writing a complex show they try but it fails hard it just doesn’t work.

zaphyre

I am mainly talking about how flat it all lands in the show. I never expected her to get what she wanted in the end because that's just the type of show GoT has always been, but the writers managed to make it all feel so pointless in the end lol. She could have had one of the best character arcs in the show if they ever knew how to handle her properly

kaan

Oh yeah, “Dany kinda forgot about the iron fleet” episode lol

TheSauceGuy

It's an easily forgettable moment, but just wanted to remind you, even if you guys are done already.

Bellamy Blake

Oh ya she coulda had one of the best most tragic breaking bad arcs ever. Speaking of breaking bad, I think the theme of “Ozymandias” definitely applies to GoT. Empires are built to crumble.

PST3

Tyene Sand of the Sand Snakes told Bronn you want the Baadd Puuuussssaaayy, that's what Jamie wants.

PST3

D & D totally skipped Sansa and Arya learning Jon is their cousin and their Dad never cheated on their mother. Jon couldn't even handle the politics of Castle Black and got himself killed, how is he going to handle King's Landing. More importantly he would be miserable.

Amna 🍉

You would think that would be an important moment to include since Sansa and Arya finally find out that their father was loyal to their mother but I guess not😭

Amna 🍉

She literally unhatched THREE DRAGONS, how is she not the main character. If only they added her being a dreamer and having visions

Amna 🍉

Yea carter posted in the game of thrones spoiler section on discord. I think that's why ppl are not holding back in the comments anymore

Nomaan

When she first got there, there would be no reason to burn it… that’s what I hate is they make it seem like if Dany takes kings landing it inherently means thousands are gonna die. Well no cos she can tell her army to just kill soldiers… and it’s not like the dragons would’ve burned it down without her command

Mahti

Dumb and Dumber really did their best to make Sansa as unlikeable as possible

shadowwalker

no? Missandei dies at the end of this episode and the Long Night was last episode

Amna 🍉

Uhhh I feel like we always forget how ruthless Cersei is. There's always a lack of media literacy when people say Sansa is like Cersei. The same Cersei who had Bran pushed from the tower. The same Cersei who had an innocent direwolf killed. The same Cersei who had all of Robert's bastards murdered including new borns. Robb also wanted an independent North btw. Just because Ned didn't want to kill Dany, doesn't mean he would've bent the knee to her. The ONLY reason Ned didn't want to go after Dany was bc he did not want a repeat of what happened to Elia Martell and her children. Robert was happy as long as any Targaryen was dying. Ned would also rather have an independent North. If anything, he was supporting Stannis as the next heir.

MagicSquirrel

Yeah I finished watching they didn't mix up. But I got confused since at the beginning of this video they're talking about missandei's death. Confused me a lot

Charles Hesketh

At the very beginning Brig says something about Missandeis death being sad.., I think it was a joke but it threw me off too

Bellamy Blake

They did a shit job. But I would bet a lot of money that it wasn’t the intention at all to make Sansa hated. They just overestimated how brainwashed Dany Stans are and their blind loyalty. You guys see what you want and yes the writing is bad but it is clearly trying to imply that Dany is in fact doing questionable things and Sansa is the one questioning them. But Dany Stans wont accept it.

Amna 🍉

Like imagine having the perfect arc in the books where she is smart enough to take down LF on her own without Grrm dumbing him down and thinking "hmmmm no, let's give her a side character arc and make her go through more trauma and then have her say that she had to go through that trauma in order to have character development" LIKE ARE THEY ON CRACK

Mahti

Dany Stans 😂 the thing is she couldn't hold a secret she swore to keep forever for even like 24 hours

Blackeyedlily

I don’t like that for this episode I only have complaints, but there are several things I absolutely hate, starting with Sansa basically saying all that abuse she went through made her stronger. I really dislike all of the Daenerys and Jon issues in this episode, including the horrible dragon death and Missandei’s death.

Bellamy Blake

Yes and the show is telling us she didn’t hold the secret because she was fearing for Jon’s safety. Vs Dany who wants to force him to keep the secret for her own selfish reasons. This is what the show is actually presenting us. That’s my point. Not saying it’s good writing

Cam

Ned Stark dying keeping this secret, only to have Jon and Sansa blab it all over Westeros as soon as they find out will never not infuriate me. Ned literally took this secret to his grave, you would think the writers would at least give us a scene of dialogue where Sansa and Jon take this into consideration and try to honor their father’s wish. So disappointing.

Bellamy Blake

I thought that was because Robert Baratheon was still alive? Why is it a big deal now? Oh because Dany is scurry I guess. Ned kept the secret to protect Jon and Sansa told it to protect Jon. Less chance of Dany casually having him executed to secure her position. It’s not like their own dad was unjustly executed for posing a threat to someone’s claim or anything…

Amna 🍉

Ah no, I was going to send you the new covers they just released for the books😭 I hope you enjoy them bc the lore goes crazy👀

Sanji

Yeah I agree Sansa isn’t as ruthless as Cersei. I said she has the same vibes as her which is true. The writers literally want Sansa to be a reflection of little finger and Cersei. Sansa gained wisdom by learning from them. That’s her own words in the show. Also I heavily disagree. A promise is LITERALLY an oath.

Sanji

@BB I agree with you mostly! If Arya was the one to spill the beans to Tyrion, I would say it’s the exact same situation as Ned stark. They both broke oaths to protect the family. For me, it’s a little different for Sansa. I just get a vibe that it’s for personal ambition. I’m not sure why haha Agree to disagree 👍 I respect your options.

Sanji

They posted that they are going on Vacation within a week. I think they recorded extra and plan to spread out the episodes for their absence👍

EtherealLlama

In the span of one episode Daenerys loses Jorah, half her armies, the North’s loyalty, Jon’s affection, Rhaegal, her entire fleet, Varys’ loyalty, Missandei… The writers so desperately needed to even the odds between her and Cersei and decided to cram it all in here. I’ll never get over it sadly.

John Paul

I can’t believe David and Dan rushed this show to its death. Because of a Disney Star Wars movie deal that never ended up happening🤦‍♂️, Greed is the devil.

I❤️movies&tvshows

He doesn’t want to Marry her now that he knows she is his aunt. He couldn’t even finish kissing her in this episode he was so disgusted by it.

ughhhh this one is a tough watch.......

For anyone that prefers audiobooks the entire series is on YouTube free in audiobook form. Fire and Blood for HOTD is also.

jon not saying goodbye to ghost is the biggest crime in this episode. love him but that turned me OFF.

Nic_

Jon Snow's dialogue in S8 "u r mah queen." Nice job, D&D

mk

well who cares, they can not have kids anyways and it would be a political marriage the writers knew it makes too much sense to not do it, therefore they did not even address it

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

The fall off of nearly every character is quite sad to watch. Honestly Cercei is somehow the most consistent character 😆

selmak13

Idk if anyone mentioned this already but it took me a rewatch to figure out what's been bothering me with Bran so much (besides him not ever utilizing his power and cosplaying a statue). Supposedly he is now the most powerful being, but there aren't any limitations to his power? I guess one would think that if you have the power to see everything anytime, the forbidden thing would be to share with anyone what you've seen or heard, ESPECIALLY if you see something that can change the entire course of history. Like in time travelling shows/movies it's always emphasized that meddling with course of time is a big no-no and it will cost you a lot, so you are a time traveler/observer and not a time bender. So he found out information about Jon (the information that changes the course) and he casually tells it to a random Sam Tarly and there are no consequences. What is then stopping him from telling everyone everything? And wouldn't warging into people also be considered a taboo since human free will is a glorified notion? But what's stopping him from warging into anyone anytime? And I thought when he became a three-eyed raven he rejected the identity of Brandon Stark, and he has been correcting people on this at the beginning, but now everyone again calls him and treats him as Bran and he accepts it? Maybe I am overthinking it but this shit is pissing me off lol

Shadow

Dany deserved better holyyy

Blackeyedlily

The show left out the last part of the prophecy that was told to Cersei when she was a child. It strongly implies that her little brother will kill her. This is one of the reasons she hates Tyrion so badly and wants him dead. But it is a popular fan theory that it will actually be Jamie who kills her in the books, as he is her little brother by virtue of being born after her. There is no way she lasts in King’s Landing for this long in the book story.

Blackeyedlily

The show runners made Daenerys fireproof, but George R.R. Martin said that Daenerys surviving Drogo’s pyre was part of the magical miracle that allowed the birth of the dragons. And it involved blood magic, “only death can pay for life.” Daenerys actually experiences burns in other parts of the books, including when Drogo rescued her from the Fighting Pit in Meereen.

Lydia

lolll when it comes to the sansa arya dany beef, the writers just wanted to assasinate everybody's character smh. and oh yeah I was with her 100% kill em all

yeah i have never watched season 8 again until now and it still kills me how dirty they did her

Lydia

like how do you fumble what could have been the most epic fictional character in history smhhhhh

Gnarlybudz

NEVER have I ever understood the disdain and hatred of Sansa. Denearys is clearly blind with power. Sansa understood the soldiers needed to rest but Denearys wants to immediately march them 1000miles to Kings Landing to fight. Denearys isn’t different than any King before her.

Shadow

Every time I watch it it’s just worse and worse. The final seasons did so many characters dirty but a few really bad particularly Dany. Who’s got to be like the easiest character to make likable and props the most important. My feelings for all the characters gets so mixed at this point. All my favs are hard to watch

Bellaa

im only in at 22:22 and i am dying at your reactions🤣 making this feel like a comedy this is all so hard for me to watch again i couldnt even comment on the last episode.

Sophia

That was hard to watch again, I couldn’t take half the scenes seriously smh

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

Why did they put so many jokes into this season's dialogue like I cannot take anything seriously 😐

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

Who is this super pacifist Tyrion? What happened to the Tyrion that would have 'gladly' watched Stannis lay waste to King's landing?

Sun

the outro was hilarious. It felt like a comforting trauma bonding session

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

I also can't understand how Tyrion and Varys expect anyone to be able to take King's landing without innocent bloodshed...

Bellaa

im so upset rewatching this. absolutely awful.

Hannah

I’m crying Cannon’s reactions have been top tier lately his facial expressions are on point God love him🤣🤣🤣

Paulo Eduardo

Yees, they use Dany to hype up Jon, that was already a very compelling caracter on his own. They butcher everything that came before with her arch in just s few episodes and Tyrion is caught in the mix and doesn't even resemble the awesomeness he once was. Just sad 😢

Bri-Ana Monique

Thank you! She’s literally done nothing compared to what Cersei has done & everyone around her just thought the absolute worst of her no matter what she did. Made no sense at all

Harper

The way they put Daenerys below the line showing everyone plotting against her is so ridiculous, we are talking about the character who has been worked since season 1 to sit on the iron throne... and the worst, because of Jon Snow, a bastard

Gnarlybudz

Imagine having a new partner and they demand you keep secrets from your family and friends about yourself!!! I don’t blame Sansa at all for wanting to spread the secret about Jon. Denearys has executed countless people and rarely has displayed mercy. Her goal isn’t to make the world a better place…she simply wants to be the Queen. Sansa doesn’t demand respect she doesn’t execute people.

Darrell Henry

Rewatching this has made me realize season 7 is fine. You start to see some of the rushed writing but it’s a solid season that moves the plot forward and has some great moments. The first half of season 8 is even ok. But my god is the second half hard to watch. None of the characters’ actions make sense and everything is rushed. Tyrion one of the smartest people in the world is suddenly an idiot. Varys and Tyrion, who both have used violence to further their political ends are suddenly pacifist. I really can’t believe they took one of the greatest shows of all time and screwed it up this badly.

Bri-Ana Monique

Daenerys really could have crashed out, along time ago. And I wish she would have! They were going to paint her as a villain no matter what she did. Really sad to see how they did her so dirty.

NoneOfYourBeeswax

Varys and Sansa think Jon will make a better ruler, eh? I guess they've forgotten that in his last official capacity - as King in the North - the men (and girl) who raised him to that post turned against him in a heartbeat... before that, his "intemperate" actions nearly lost the Battle of the Bastards. And before that, as Lord Commander of the Night's Watch he was killed by his own men! Not the best résumé, is it?

Bri-Ana Monique

Missandei & Grey Worm deserved better fr 😭

Gnarlybudz

Easy….command your soldiers to kill other soldiers and not women and children. Tell them to accomplish the objective rather than loot the first shop that entices them. I realize this hasn’t been the case throughout history…..very very strange.

Gnarlybudz

Im in other comments sections criticizing Dany but I definitely agree. I had high hopes for her. Which is why I’m so critical of her now. S3 when she burned the master and claimed the unsullied was ground breaking!

Thicc Thanos

RIP Miss Sunday 😔 I can’t believe we lost Cannon’s Queen like that. His sun and stars, the moon of his life. This is why Cannon is single. 😢

Laney Tapia

They should've just done what Dany wanted to do from the beginning which was storm kings landing specifically the red keep but this entire time Dany has been in kings landing has dragged on due to other people telling her she shouldn't do that. Even if some common folk died in the crossfire of getting Cersei out of the red keep that is what happens in war it's terrible but you are always going to have casualties. Now they can't even do that plan necessarily because Cersei has had so much time to plan everything out, now she has the common folk in the red keep acting as a shield because she knows Tyrion and Varys (Danys advisors) will make sure no common folk are killed. Dany was so right when she said the more time her enemies have the harder it will be to take them down. Dany definitely has her moments of less than desirable dialogue but rewatching this has made me see how much everyone around her made it so hard for her to take the iron throne. I also think it's so dumb how they made jon want to tell the secret of his true identity so bad to anyone who would listen because Ned being the most honorable man around kept this secret till the day he died. He told no one, no family, friends, no one. It's ridiculous that Jon wouldn't understand that this secret would take on a life of it's own. I also can't get over the classic "Dany forgot about the iron fleet" but thats a whole other rant lol.

Thicc Thanos

“You looked beautiful up there.” -Bran to Miss Sunday probably 😔

Bellamy Blake

“That is what happens in war. It’s terrible but you will always have casualties.”I think this mindset is exactly what GRRM is fighting with his story. It would just be more of the same, but for a lot of you it’s fine because “Dany deserves to be queen” and she’s worked so hard for it. Why does that matter and why should the small folk care if it means their lives are in jeopardy? The show failed in trying to use Tyrion to convey this message, but War is never the answer regarding what’s best for everyone.

Thicc Thanos

At the height of Thrones(quality wise) people named their kids and pets Daenerys and Khaleesi 😭 Before these last few seasons came out. i am not joking. She was so popular.

leah

idk i kinda get it because i think it’s like her signal to dany to burn the place down. dany was always just a bit hesitant about burning down the whole city but that being missandei’s final word really was meant to give dany the go-ahead to fuck up kings landing LOL

NoneOfYourBeeswax

AeJon Starkaryen burned his hand when saving Lord Commender Mormont from a risen wight, so the show has already demonstrated that he is not immune to fire.

Caleb

Aight, ill give him the benefit of the doubt

Laney Tapia

I agree that war is not the answer completely I think its more complicated when you are dealing with an irrational tyrant like Cersei. If the dialogue was better for Tyrion and Varys and this doubt from them started a long time ago it would be better received and understandable. But I also feel even at the point where doubt started to form within Varys and Tyrions minds about Dany there was really nothing to trigger that. What was it that triggered this notion that she is evil and a dictator?

Thicc Thanos

He hasn’t seen this. He stopped watching after The Short Night episode.

Sean Carroll

I mean, we didn’t see Jon after he left winterfell for the rest of the episode. But next episode yes

Riley

One of the worst things about this episode was Jaime returning to Cersei; his entire character development was just thrown into a landfill and lit on fire. These episodes are all difficult to watch.

Jaqen H'ghar

I will seriously never forgive the Brienne and Jamie shit. What the shit

Skyz

54:48 Me rewatching season 8 again

Sean Carroll

Cersei became a stereotypical villain with no depth whatsoever. Most consistent character is the hound

Sean Carroll

Jon isn’t a bastard… that’s kinda the whole point of his heritage

darist

At the 35 minute mark of the reaction and doing all i can to power through. I forgot how cringe this episode was 😣

Sean Carroll

Season 7 is bad and rendered completely inconsequential. The white walker hunt that was conceived in episode 5 was pointless in the end because Cersei didn’t help them. The whole rest of the season where Dany loses her army’s and allies are all stupidity on tyrions behalf. Then we have the whole thing with not being able to take kings landing without bloodshed, but Dany proves in the next episode that she could take the city without bloodshed (obviously that’s before she goes full mad queen) Season 7 is absolutely pointless because everything that did happen in season 8 should have happened in season 7.

Harper

He’s still a bastard, there’s no divorce in Westeros, just like bigamy either, and the only one who can annul the marriage is the king, which he didn’t do... which makes that marriage of Rhaegar and Liana even more meaningless and messes up every show just because they wanted to make Jon Snow something more than he really is

Harper

Besides, it doesn’t make sense for you to spend fucking 7 seasons developing a character like Daenerys and her whole issue with the iron throne, to get here and have people discrediting her as if she was always someone unreliable, like?

Shadow

I remember just being like where the f are we going with this. I felt so disconnected and turned off with all these characters I had grown to love so much. I needed to see the end and it was just so disappointing

Crystal

Bro he literally said im the last episode that he had only seen up to that point…..

Frosty

My full respect to Jack, cooking across multiple shows lately

Enma

I got nothing more to say, shit is so cooked man.

R

D&D i hope every time u guys order mcdonalds the fries be cold af

Bellamy Blake

Randyl and Dickon Tarly might have been valuable hostages that could force the loyalty of vassal lords. They hold value alive but dead they only serve as an example of Daenerys's ruthlessness. Also, she told the soldiers Cersei was a monster she was “saving” them from. Framing yourself as a savior and liberator but immediately burning people who don’t want to accept you as a ruler is a bad look. You can think what you want but the show is framing it as a questionable moment for Dany. Even Stannis didn’t execute Mance immediately, he gave him time to think. (But Jon’s response to someone burning alive should have also told us something).

Bellamy Blake

This convo in S5 speaks volumes: Hizdahr - That is a vital part of the Great City of Meereen, which existed long before you and I and will remain standing long after we have returned to the dirt. Daenerys - One day your great city will return to the dirt as well. Hizdahr - At your command? Daenerys - If need be. Hizdahr - And how many people will die to make this happen? Daenerys - If it comes to that, they will have died for a good reason. 🚩😬😬😬🚩 Hizdahr - Those men (in the fighting pit) think they are dying for a good reason. Daenerys - Someone else's reason. Hizdahr - So your reasons are true and theirs are false? They don’t know their own minds, but you do? Idk how this convo does Dany any favors. It’s a truly messed up mindset she is displaying.

Melczech

I’ve never heard them say that. Met Kit Harington a few years ago. He said he was proud of the work he did. There was also talk of a certain actor (no spoilers) wanting to continue his story, and some of the actors where on board to resume their roles, if that happened, so if they hated it, I’d assume they would want to distance themselves from it.

Jenny D

This was a rough episode. I was so mad about Jamie's ARC being thrown out the window. Rhaegals death was so sad. We have that scene of them flying side by side and then he's dead. I also didn't like they didn't show us Jon's parentage reveal and that he made Bran tell them. Missandei deserved better. She was a good person who didn't deserve to die this way. I love both Dany and Jon and in a perfect world they probably could be rulers, but she doesn't want to share power. If she did they'd only see Jon as the ruler and she would just be in the background. Great reactions and Outro. I'm curious to see what you guys think of the last two episodes.

danidelight

"Dany kind of forgot about the iron fleet" - D&D

Zed

Where is code geass... :(

ssj4rit

You can see the light progressively leave his eyes since s5, it’s really sad.

ssj4rit

I’m not sure we can say if the actors hate it or not, but a few definitely made some critique comments. At least Peter Dinklage called out it was really dumb of Tyrion to put all the people in the crypts. But given it’s basically career suicide for actors and actresses to bash directors, I doubt any of them will come out point blank and say something that will ruin their acting opportunities.

A_Daddy Daichi

Why did Kit sound different in the speech at the beginning? Am I the only one that hears a difference or am I tripping?

Roan Gomez

This episode was brought to us by Starbucks.

A_Daddy Daichi

Y’all are too comfortable telling people to shut up or assuming things. Relax

A_Daddy Daichi

I forgot about the Gendry proposal 🥴🫠

A_Daddy Daichi

I blocked out so much of what happened this episode. It’s just 💩

Leo

Why should jon keep his parentage as secret 😂😂. I mean what is the purpose of it to keep it as secret just because of dany? 🤡🤡🤡

darist

This is unrelated, but I picked up the first ASOIAF book a few days ago in large part because of some of the people on this patreon. I'm already halfway finished the first book and can't believe how amazing it is. All this to say, for anyone else like me who has seen the show multiple times and never bothered to read the books, it's DEFINITELY worth reading. Especially if you're like me and loved the characters, writing, and dialogue from the first 4 seasons, you get SO much more of that. Like I knew they had to leave stuff out for obvious reasons, but it's shocking how much is actually left out until you start reading it. Also, actually getting the POVs of multiple characters and being able to get inside their heads is such a gamechanger.

Rumaki21

To be fair to lord Varys he said to Daenerys from the get go that his loyalty is with the people of Westeros and he would support any ruler who's serves their best intrestes.

Skyz

It's honestly hard rewatching these episodes, i can't help but just start laughing when something ridiculous is about to happen.

Joey Brock

the best part is they explained this scene as "dany kinda forgot about euron" like yeah fucking okay

Nikita M

@BB I read the Quora answer, and while I agree with some points, I disagree with others. Yes, there are die-hard Daenerys fans who will defend her actions no matter what, but there are also casual fans who recognized her mistakes and flaws yet still rooted for her growth. Personally, I never saw her becoming queen, nor did I think she deserved it just based on her title (and the same goes for Jon Snow or anyone else). I always expected her to die, whether during the battle with the White Walkers or at the end somehow. Many of us who liked Dany never saw her as a heroic savior destined to rule; we saw a flawed human being struggling to learn leadership. The "I know what's best" attitude was more prominent in the later seasons. While she did express this before, she often sought advice and, even if she didn't always follow it, she took others' opinions into consideration. In this episode, for instance, after Varys’ warning, she still listens to Tyrion and agrees to try to talk to Cersei, which isn't exactly the behavior of a tyrant. The show just dumps trauma and loss on her, and sprinkles in some "Targaryen madness," and then labels her a tyrant for lashing out. I don't think she breaks because she's insane or inherently a "mad Targaryen." She breaks under the weight of immense loss, grief, and loneliness, which would push many humans to their limits. Even in our legal system, the concept of "temporary insanity" exists to account for moments when a person has a short-lived mental break due to extreme stress or trauma. The difference is she has access to a weapon of mass destruction. And that makes her mental break one that has 100x the damage and that in turn turns her into Hitler. LOL (sry that scene is just too funny; almost as much as philosopher Drogon) For comparison, if you've seen WandaVision (spoilers ahead),******************************************************************************************************************** Dany's breakdown is similar to Wanda's, who, in her grief, creates a reality where Vision still exists. It's a release of power driven by sorrow. A well-done example of a savior-turned-tyrant arc would be in The Hunger Games, where it's handled with more depth and care. This message is already too long so I don't want to go deep into the whole "Targaryen madness" thing and how very boring of a concept it is. I just plain hate it.

Nomaan

I remember Khaleesi being such a popular baby name😭

Nomaan

Exactly 😭😭 like we SAW Dany command the unsullied for the first time to only kill specific people. For the Dothraki, she is their Khal and whatever she says, they would obey. So idk why all of sudden it’s like if they storm the city it just means innocents are gonna die? To paint Dany as a villain😭

Nomaan

I’m so glad someone compared Dany and Wanda😭

Nomaan

YESSSSSS. Please update us with a little video as you read @StudioGek

lololol

First time watcher here! Never have agreed more with anyone on this show more than I agree with Brig and Cannon rn LMAO!!! Thats exactly what I thought, just dont tell anyone and *poof* a good ending isnt completely out of the picture. I understand Jon, but it's actually a very sensible thing that Daenerys is suggesting, its so sensible that I didnt expect it to come out of her mouth given the trajectory of the show😂😂😂 Obviously, Jon is an honorable person but, cmon man surely exceptions exist? I guess the writers always win sooo shiz must eventually go down 😂 but damn, they really teased us with the idea of Jon just doing what we all thought would be the best choice and said "aw hell nah". +why would Jon reveal his secret in that environment when they are all saying that they dont like Daenerys 😂 it's just gonna make shiz worse..... at least wait until they warm up to daenerys even more before telling them lmaoooooo I CANT

Renek

from John to his family from Sansa to Tyrion and finally Varys knew PEAK GOSSIP GIRL right here

kivu_king

even if you disregard everything else, just the little "stand-off" they have in the end of the episode is so stupid, they come basically unarmed in front of cercei and her wall, do you really think she would just not open fire on their asses right then and there and end it all 👽 literally the same thing that annoyed me in battle of bastards when ramsey couldve just shot an arrow through jons head, but they had him shoot the giant for drama effect. as someone above mentioned, every character is not a character anymore, just a device to push the (shit)plot forward. im glad u are ending this soon so you can move on to better shows 😹

Jada

It's not about going against an agenda dumb nut. So please let me dumb it down for you to understand. He tried his very hardest to justify every single thing beside Jon (his little favorite boy) he made sure to say that was stupid. But everything else he try to make sense for. That's why it was irritating, does that make sense to you, or are you still struggling to comprehend BB.

Bellamy Blake

Jon and Dany marrying is not the answer and won’t be it in the books because GRRM’s story doesn’t support incest the way some think it does. Every single one of his stories that contains incest (7 of 80+ stories), makes it clear that it is an omen that will destroy a dynasty. Incest and blood purity are elements of dynastic, God-king politics that GRRM strongly criticizes. Or if they do get married in the books, it will absolutely end in disaster. It’s practically spelled out. Targaryen bloodline purity is not the answer. It would just repeat the cycle of destruction.

Amna 🍉

I'm still waiting for an adaption where they finally give the Targaryens purple eyes

I❤️movies&tvshows

The audiobooks are free on YouTube if you can’t buy them or prefer listening instead. So is Fire and Blood the HOTD books.

Bellamy Blake

I didn’t struggle with anything I think it’s weird to speak about someone like this over a damn reaction. You guys are quite rude and narrow minded.

Jada

Awe you'll be alright; I'm positive you will live to see another day. Don't allow my comment to upset you because it doesn't fit your agenda

Luka Monsaraz

same reason Ned kept his secret? its retarded to throw away the life of thousands just for pride and honor.

Renaldo Allard

Now ya see the vision told ya 8 messed it up seeing carters face the whole time I already knew he was super disappointed wait until you guys see the ending 🤧

NoneOfYourBeeswax

What you say is true, but not really relevant. The books are not the show, and the Geks, like many viewers, will never read GRRM's five hefty tomes which will never have an ending. In the show there would be no reason not to have Jon and Dany wed and share the Iron Throne. Drogon would just have to make a matching Throne ofc... :D

NoneOfYourBeeswax

Ofc that's assuming Jamie gets past Lady Stoneheart. On that subject, what is the one word Brienne shouts that can get her, Pod, Ser Hyle and Jamie out of their predicament? As no more books will be forthcoming we'll never find out from GRRM.

Zahra A

took sansa a few hours to rat on a secret ned’s kept for most of his life and broke an oath while doing it 😭 i know he’s rolling in his grave right now

Lydia

check most recent shippuden comment section

Leo

Lol, ned kept it as secret to protect jon from robert. Now there is no need for that.

Nomaan

Well I think carter said in the comments of this video he recently purchased the ASOIAF series😭

Leo

You can blame sansa for breaking an oath but not for revealing his secret. The whole purpose of that secret was to protect jon from Robert. Now there is no need for that.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I just can't wait for the day you fully realize that Dave & Daver were hell sent to ensure that this herein remains the darkest timeline.

Frank Stelzl

They should remake the series as an animated version

NoneOfYourBeeswax

@Griffin - if that was a CGI Ghost at the end, HBO should ask for their money back. Ghost is supposed to be a mature male Direwolf, but I've quite literally seen bigger dogs!

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

But are you going to watch the inside the episodes? If not a react, at least watch them sometime on your own! Also try to watch the last "making of" documentary, I can't find it and don't remember what it's called, but it's actually a cool way to forget all the bad stuff about the end. Also watch this if you need to taste some of that sweet sweet early season/character love & nostalgia https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwT1VTv9kS_ZeEM95WPeJwNsLRANFAvWM&si=XQEmiM2SidGb2OzK

NoneOfYourBeeswax

It doesn't help that they made a sacrifice of House Tarly, when in fact Randyll Tarly was an avid Targaryen supporter and fought for them in Robert's rebellion. Realistically, this man would have moved Heaven and Earth to join up with the last Targaryen (so far as he knows). He certainly wouldn't have called her a "foreigner".

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

The most obvious projection alive The funniest part is actually how umbothered Kit was at the jokes, because his ego isn't that fragile.

Kare

If I was Sansa I would’ve told tyrion too likee why would I want to a. Lose the independence of the north to a southerner right when we finally were able to liberate it, and b. Put my brother in more and more danger? The only bad thing Sansa did was break an oath but u can also argue that ned stark only kept it secret to keep Jon safe but now there is no need for that anymore… Also why should Jon be forced to hide his identity? That would cause sooo much inner conflict and turmoil not being able to talk about who he is ( it wouldn’t have ended well on the long run), Dany was rude to even ask him that since she herself had to run away and hide because of her identity. Lastly Jon was honestly stupid for even telling Sansa and Arya right then and there when they were already voicing their dislike for her like why would u say it😂 anyways it’s just shitty writing but regardless Sansa telling people was probs the most consistent thing to do with her character. And to answer Cannon, I don’t think she’s jealous of dany, she’s super super patriotic about the north and wants it to be independent. If she was jealous she would try to put herself in power but she’s always been supportive and outspoken of Jon being the true king of the north.

NoneOfYourBeeswax

I cannot believe that there are still people holding out hope that GRRM will finish the books. He's done with them, we won't even get TWOW - And might as well ask for an end to war, disease, famine and suffering in our world as to ask for ADOS.

NoneOfYourBeeswax

Ned kept his secret to himself for his entire life, but Jon couldn't keep it for five minutes!

NoneOfYourBeeswax

And after admonishing Jon on the importance of family on several occasions, she just dips and says she is never coming back!

NoneOfYourBeeswax

"If you honestly think after everything Sansa's been through over the years that her strongest desire is to rule, I think you have misunderstood her character" - Keep watching... :D

NoneOfYourBeeswax

The irony is that the Star Wars deal probably fell apart once the studio saw what a mess D&D made of the final season of GoT and the hate they got for it. Disney didn't want to drag that shit into their Star Wars franchise (which had already been getting it's fair share of controversy by then).

Bellamy Blake

she made it clear at the end of S6 that she was done thinking about what she wanted and now she’s grateful for what she has. And then Dany walks in trying to snatch it away immediately. Of course she’s pissed. Ever since her father was killed and she was captured, Sansa wanted freedom. She seeks independence and it’s being threatened because Dany needs power.

NoneOfYourBeeswax

Randyll Tarly was a fervent Targaryen supporter, he fought for the Mad King because he was a Targaryen. Having him FORCE Danaerys to kill him was just dumb, and excuse to portray Daenerys as a tyrant.

Bellamy Blake

Nah he is not lol he’s probably more concerned about Jon being a doormat while his gf makes veiled threats towards his sisters. And the fact that Jon put his family in danger by telling them and Dany his secret just to make himself feel better.

jason 𒉭

but there’s no point in going around telling everyone if he doesn’t even want the iron throne. it just creates factions and chaos. if he wanted it that would be a different story cuz so far him telling people hasn’t done any good.

Leo

So, I came to know that I'm not a bastard and who my real parents were and it is wrong to share it with my family just because of some person's jealousy? Be in reality man.

jason 𒉭

i mean if i was sansa and i wanted to have my brother/cousin on the iron throne and myself queen or lady of the north i would 100% tell tyrion. but sansa can’t keeps having her cake and eating it . again its all just bad writing but would there even be a north if it wasn’t for dany? so maybe she should start acting a little grateful instead of being entitled and jon wanted to tell his sansa and arya cuz hes too honourable and naive to think nobody wasn’t going to nothing with that information. if jon wanted the iron throne then telling them would be a different story but he doesn’t so already it’s just causing chaos. so dany was right to tell him that since his only words so far have been “i don’t want it” , “your muh queen”.

Bellamy Blake

And Dany wouldn’t have a shot at the iron throne at all unless Jon and everyone else helped her with the war against the dead. Everyone would just end up dead. It was a mutual effort. Stop with the double standards. Dany calls herself a savior, then it’s her duty to save everyone. But she wants power in return. That’s the issue that makes her no different than others and a hypocrite. “breaker of chains” my ass, lol only if you can potentially add to her army and conquest.

jason 𒉭

it’s not about jealousy , it’s just about being smart. jon already knows sansa doesn’t like dany , so ofc she going to do something with that piece information. this isn’t the game of hearts, it’s the game of thrones. if your too honourable it will get you killed, like ned for example , told cersei about his knowledge of her and jamie’s relationship and that in the end put him at a massive disadvantage cuz it turned out to be useless and only making him a target and it’s the same with jon now.

jason 𒉭

bro dany had a larger army than cersei . 3 dragons, she could’ve taken the iron throne a long time ago before she even met jon. if it wasn’t for tyrion, cuz she even said “i have 3 large dragons, im going to fly them to the red keep” and it would’ve been over. and yes the help was mutual but they needed her more than she needed them. cuz let’s face the facts without her dragons the long night would’ve been a short night. so where’s the double standards?

Kare

I’m not dismissing Danny’s aid to the north at all. Obviously there would be no Westeros without her help but the north also put up a major fight as well, they both needed the help of each other to both stay alive, so Dany is not some “saviour”. Why the hell would I be grateful for someone that is trying to control and rule my country? Dany should’ve come to a compromise and allowed the north to be independent so that both sides are satisfied. But of course not she’s power hungry af and Sansa saw right through her that’s why she dislikes her… not for power for herself as u seem to think. And about the Jon stuff ehh it’s just shitty writing I think any logical person would have not revealed that info in that moment but whatever I’m not mad about that part cuz it’s obvviously lazy writing.

jase

no no no, she is different! that’s the whole point of her character arc, maybe if you and all her other haters could get past the fact the she takes pride in how much she has conquered for herself and stop masking your jealousy as disdain for her you’ll actually come to appreciate her as a character!

Leo

It's not about jealousy? It's clearly about jealousy. That's why dany asked him not to tell anybody. Fuck politics, this information is beyond that for him. He has every right to share it to his family.

Kare

Dude obvs Dany had a larger stake in beating the night king no one is arguing against that but without Jon and the north they would’ve ultimately lost at the end. Like I get that Dany didn’t need Jon she could’ve easily taken the iron throne but what would’ve been the point of that if the night king took over the north and marched all the way to the south?? Everyone would’ve died. Combining Dany and the north together was the only way to beat the night king Dany couldn’t do that on her own. And with all that it doesn’t give her the right to demand the north bow down to her which was the point of my original comment, because they both needed each other. So the best solution was to give the north their independence

jase

@BB the person who wrote that quora post is extremely biased against dany and clearly has some internalised misogyny going on. that is obvious since she labels daenerys as a mary sue (a term that is inherently misogynistic) and discredits all of her good will and qualities for her being, simply put, “evil”.

Bambina

I’m kind of sad that those reactions are almost at an end, despite the drop in quality of GOT this season especially. It was very entertaining, fun, and enjoyable to hear your thoughts, to experience the series with you all and to laugh at the ridiculousness towards the end. I think I speak for all when I say we’re so thankful for your reactions and I can’t wait to see what you’ll react to next!

Brig Andrus

I can’t believe people are justifying Sansa telling Jon’s secret 😞. No loyalty

Bellamy Blake

So, you finished the show and you think they were trying to frame Sansa as the bad guy? Jon didn’t even really have a reaction to it. If it didn’t bother him that much why does it matter? How about the loyalty of Dany’s wise old advisors?

Bellamy Blake

Please go and watch the convo again between Sansa and Tyrion. Pay attention and it’s obvious that she tells him out of concern for Jon’s safety. https://youtu.be/_mnRoRTGHlM?si=QaoTcwfWYe12-Why

Euphemia Isobel

The fault is with Jon, if he kept it a secret like Dany begged him everyone lives happily ever after

Daenerys Targaryen

Also, be prepared that there are manyyy storylines that have been completely changed from books to show, and many that don’t exist in the show at all, so it may throw you off a bit.

jrnoodles

Thanks! I was also cringing with the romance between Jon and Daenerys. It feels forced.

jason 𒉭

then sansa should be mad at jon for bending the knee. after dany lost her dragon to the night king she already said “ i will fight with you, i’ll fight for the north” it was jon who decided to bend the knee to her , she even questioned him. so you can’t blame her for that and call her power hungry when jon on his own accord did it cuz she sacrificed a dragon for him. and atp i don’t even think she cares too much about the north she just wants them to help her take the iron throne cuz it’s like i helped out now it’s your turn and who knows maybe if all went well she would’ve just left the north to sansa and jon? but we will never know cuz sansa went a head and told tyrion to which he told varys leading him to conspire against her, making her loose trust in everyone.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I forgot the music was so intense in the vids, and there may be a slight spoiler for Dunk in the Arya vid (not sure if it's direct from asoiaf or dunknegg series), but you can just stop it when he says Dunk and skip like 10 secs later.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

It's really just the way it is framed by the writers. Yes, I'm going to blame them always. They didn't treat her as a person or as her character, so we can't either. She's just no one's Sansa at this point besides the booty ass plots'.

Nikita M

@Blodreina if it didn't bother Jon, then that makes him an asshole because that means he planned it to get out and was counting on her to tell. We will never know because nothing really bothered Jon after the Long Night. He was a shell of a character repeating lines and acting inconsistent with what he says. If he didn't want the throne, he could AT LEAST wait till they finished conquering KL before having that talk with Sansa and Arya. As many have pointed out, him telling that to them right after they admitted to disliking Dany is the stupidest decision he could make (if we are to believe that he truly loved Dany). I can see youre biased towards Sansa and dislike Dany but even if Dany is the most evil being in the world, both Jon and Sansa's actions were dishonorable. Jon for betraying the person we're supposed to believe he loves, and Sansa for breaking a promise he made to family. You can say she did it out of fear all you want but clearly if Daenerys knew this long and hadn't tried to kill him, she didn't plan to. And Sansa's actions previously and who she was as a kid point a lot more towards jealousy. Telling Tyrion doesn't magically save Jon if Daenerys suddenly plans to kill him.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

The problem is that they knew we had watched her grow up, then sexualized her anyway. Who cares if Maisie herself is now "a woman" and is expressing her own sexual agency. IDC about Maisie's journey, I care about Arya's. And while the tension between them might have been arousing, me (and many others) did not need our final send off to her character to include sexualization that was mainly per the writers initiative. Again idc about what's going on behind the scenes, I don't want her in that position only because creeps wanted to be on set for it, or because Maisie wanted to expand her acting coverage. Make it better integrated as part of the actual story and I'll probably not cringe in annoyance and discomfort. Like if she actually said yes to Gendry, then ok, they are official, I guess, customs be damned, but to have her demand he "show her what it's like" so she can hit and run makes the scene look cheap and Arya look like a selfish sociopath instead of an independent woman.

Ayaulym🇰🇿

The Hound is talking about saving her by leaving King's landing with him and not meeting Ramsa & being with Little finger. She had already met Cersei and suffered at her hands (by the point Clegane asked that) so the experience with Cersei wouldn't have changed regardless of her choice. She clearly meant those men she met due to staying at Kings Landing and not getting saved by him

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I wanted so bad to do the audiobooks, but could not deal with the narrator, and had to get all the books, which I don't regret!

Kare

@nikita I was agreeing with u up to ur second paragraph. Sansa can never truly feel that Jon would be safe with a secret like that because who freakin knows Dany could decide to kill him at any moment, especially since he’s planning to go south with her (keep in mind Sansa doesn’t know Dany like we do so). And the jealousy part I personally don’t see it that way at all. I don’t think Sansa is trying to rise to power she’s just trying to keep the north independent and ruled by northerners, aka her brother Jon. Her dislike for Dany stems from her growing up around people like cersei + LF so she automatically distrusts anyone in addition to her being a northerner that already comes with them naturally distrusting outsiders. Put on top of that the fact that Danny wants to control the north… obvs ultimately shes gonna feel that way. Sansa even said it herself when she was having a convo with Dany, she was smiling and talking with her normally but the minute Sansa asked her “what about the north” and Dany said she would rule it u can see Sansa face shift. It was never about jealousy

Bellamy Blake

@Nikita I dislike what Dany becomes and I especially dislike the loud hive mind of her fans that defend her every move no matter what. I do prefer to spend my comments trying to speak for Sansa’s perspective because I enjoy to give attention to the underdog. We don’t need more of the same points being made that Dany is amazing and Sansa sucks. There are already hundreds of comments like that so I will try to contribute some new perspective. I also think it’s fascinating because I genuinely don’t believe the show or even GRRM are ever framing Sansa as a bad guy. To believe so feels like a sad misinterpretation. It doesn’t matter that Dany seemed like she wasn’t gonna hurt Jon so far, in the scene with Tyrion he doesn’t do much to squash Sansa’s fears. watch the scene again. For all Sansa knew, Dany was waiting to use Jon to command his army south and then kill him once he finished helping her win King’s Landing. https://youtu.be/_mnRoRTGHlM?si=QaoTcwfWYe12-Why

DC

one piece soon?

Bellamy Blake

“Ned Stark's daughter will speak for them. She's the best they could ask for” - Jon Snow. Ya that sounds like someone who feels super betrayed by Sansa. He’s so disappointed in her 😂 Sometimes this story really feels like a giant social experiment.

Amna 🍉

Thank god GRRM actually respects his female characters and Book Dany and Sansa won't be done dirty. None of this is canon to me so I really don't care what people have to say regarding both these characters.

engraved

i thought that back when the ep first came out, im imagining its because its also very emotional for him maybe and so its meant to represent jon like "barely holding together" or some shit

JAY

Okk on another note.. if you guys do a poll for a show to replace this PLEASE make it a shorter poll without so many options. Like the front runners from the last poll and a couple of your most anticipated picks. When the polls have like 10+ options there’s always just two front runners and everyone else gets super split across the other shows, when really all of us that didn’t vote the top two shows would probably rather watch any of the other lesser voted shows than the top two choices, we just have too many choices. Or give us the option to vote for more than one 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

lola

Hot take: I actually think this episode is worse than the last 2 episodes… hear me out! This episode is the turning point for each character and the after effects are what trigger the mess that is the ending.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

I don't think the show is intentionally trying to frame her as an antagonist. I think they are trying to toe the line between what people feel is best individually. They're just so bad at it, they only leave the conclusion that everyone is just being unreasonable and antagonistic every which way. They're laughably and gut wrenchingly incompetent, compared to how GRRM tries to frame things. The subtext IS NOT subtexting. People hate Sansa's actions, and are going to choose sides, because they have belittled the entire show and each and every character down to such binary personalities and conflicts. It really isn't "Sansa (or anyone) shouldn't have done this", it's "the writers shouldn't have only added a couple sentences each to their outline, called it a first draft, then turned in the first draft to the teacher, as if there was even anything worth grading". Imo

Dreamer

The anger and frustration in Daenerys screams as Raegal drop in the ocean, she barely holding on after losing Jorah, most of her army and finding out she might not be the true heir to the throne, now she loses her second dragon and her best friend. But she people expet her to be a grown up and think of the innocent when everyone treats her like an outsider, basically use her power and then she’s the crazy and scary one 😌 every single person is plotting against her, who’s keeping her sane? Not a single person tries to talk to her because they care about her. Tyrion keeps trying to reason with his sister because he doesn’t want her to die 🙄 i’m just mad at the fact that the dragons die in the hands of miserable people, if they die they should have epic deaths for them. Lastly, not a thank you to Daenerys for giving up her force to fight a war she had nothing to do with in the North. Arya is the hero? The what was the point of everything if Arya is better than Jon and Daenarys? 🙄🙄🙄 P.S they cannot kill Drogon, he’s the MC (in my eyes)

lola

He sounded “chocked up” like emotional

lola

Y’all really need to learn to separate the books from the show… they’re not the same thing. Jon is 100% legitimized within the show. A maester annulling it was enough because the show makers said it was enough. I know that’s a hard pill to swallow for the Dany stans but Jon is the heir to the iron throne by line of succession. 🚶‍♀️

Blackeyedlily

I don’t think that Dany is amazing. But I definitely see the books going in a very different direction. And no it’s not about her getting a happy ending. But if you compare book to show, the show began to have her character behave very differently beginning in Season 2, with her arrogant demands in Qarth. Book Danearys is far less arrogant and much more self-reflective. I think her liberator behavior is the key to her character. She is constantly working to liberate those who are enslaved. And the greatest victim of enslavement in this universe is the Wights. They are perpetual slaves of the White Walkers (known as the Others in the books). Something happened long ago in this world that has thrown off the natural cycles of life and death. The show downplayed all the magic, because they were focused on political intrigue and spectacle. But the fight for the Iron Throne is a false prize that keeps the characters from focusing on the real problems this world is facing. In my mind Daenerys is going to have to learn the hard way that the throne is not her destiny. That was something she learned from her brother. But in the books she truly yearns for home and belonging more than anything. I think the people of Westeros are going to reject her as a foreign conqueror. And I expect that King’s Landing will suffer a tragic disaster that she will be blamed for. But it will not actually be her fault, at least not entirely. And after learning this lesson, she will finally turn her attention to the real problem. I’m expecting her to have a self sacrificial end in order to liberate the Wights. And she and Jon will do this together somehow. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if Jon is still alive at the end. I don’t put her on a pedestal. But her character was not supposed to be the monster that D&D turned her into. I think it goes against so much of what the story is all about, and falls into tired old tropes that George R.R. Martin wouldn’t perpetuate.

Vlad Lena

I don’t get your negative reaction to Jaime and Brienne’s sex scene! Like… this plot line was building up since third season. Yes, Jamie doesn't love Brianne, but he definitely had feelings for her. In the 4-7 seasons, the actors didn't have many scenes together, but almost in every one of them, you could tell through their eyes acting that their feelings were mutual. Jaime just didn't consciously realise it. With Brienne, Jamie became the best version of himself. The knight he dreamed of being in his youth. But with Cersei, he was always the worst version of himself.

Patrick

I think it's regrettable the bros have been so heavily influenced by looking at reviews ahead of time. These episodes are really interesting and while there are occasional rushed moments I think the decisions and choices that face the characters still make for great television.

Harper

It would be easy to swallow if it made sense with the rules they themselves created. Regardless of whether it’s a show or a book, a marriage can’t be annulled so easily just because a master wanted to... this is like inventing a last-minute rule to plug a script scoop, and you don’t have to be a fan of Daenerys to see that this is poorly done

Harper

Go tell me that you find it acceptable for Rhaegar to secretly marry Liana having two older children with another wife, children who would become bastards if (and only if) his last-minute marriage was really appropriate (Yes, because his marriage with Elia would have to be annulled for this one with Liana to be validated)... it doesn’t make the slightest sense

Nikita M

@Kare, I agree with some of your points as well. I want to clarify my view on Sansa's jealousy. I don’t believe she aspires to ultimate power, despite her childhood dreams of being queen. However she does want to rule the North (whether it's through Jon or directly). Her desire for an independent North and for Northerners to govern it is clear, but her jealousy of Daenerys stems more from wanting influence over Jon. She's been upset that Jon doesn't want to listen to her since the BOTB (which she is entitled to feel btw). Now with Dany in the picture, she recognizes that her chances of having influence over Jon and in turn ruling the North, are even slimer. She often comes off as a jealous, overprotective sister-in-law. Her reasoning for being against Daenerys is based on her being an outsider and love interest of her brother. She acts like a typical mean girl with the dirty looks, the condescending tone and attitude. It's hard not to recognize that if you've seen that behavior growing up. But her main goal is to keep the power in the North, not under Jon's rule but under herself because she feels that she earned it by winning the BOTB and freeing Winterfell. She got a taste of being queen there and she liked it. And since Jon doesn't want to rule, she sees an opportunity to keep that power until Dany storms in and ruins her plans. Sansa is an interesting grey character to me because she did learn a lot from Cersei as she says so she does have that manipulative side to her. I don't hate her by any means. I just disagree with some of her actions. And no, she doesn't tell Tyrion ONLY out of the goodness of her heart and her worry for Jons safety, she also wanted to throw a wrench in their dynamic.

lola

Yeah I mean anyone who didn’t see this coming… I don’t know how more obvious it could’ve been honestly

Bellaa

what are u talking about🤣💀 this season is so bad it hurts physically to even watch it back

Sarah Wevers

Can y’all PLEASE react to the R+L=J video 😭😭

Nikita M

@Blodreina I've watched the scene many times and I know exactly what you're referring to in terms of her noticing that Tyrion is afraid of Dany etc. But you're leaving out a key part of the conversation. She says "What if there was someone else?" Someone better?" That means she did say it to Tyrion in hopes they overthrow Daenerys. If her concern was Jon's safety alone, she wouldn't frame it like that. There are many ways she could've expressed her worry but that's not one of them. The reason people have a problem with this is because she knows that Jon said multiple times he never wanted to to rule (not even the North). What is forcing him to rule going to do? It's going to ensure that if Jon is king, she can be queen of the North and everyone is happy (except Jon). I think saying that she only tells Tyrion out of concern for Jon does Sansa's character a disservice because she spent all this time learning from Cersei and Littlefinger only to be a foolish Stark again? No, of course not. She knows how to play the game now, and that's what she does. She's just doing it against another beloved character which is why the outcry of her actions is so loud.

Nomaan

I think it’s also key to point out that shortly after this episode aired and when leaks for episode 5 about THAT thing came out, there was a petition to remake season 8 with competent writers that got 500,000 signatures overnight and 1 million in a week. It’s currently sitting at like 1.8 million 😭 so people who try to defend this crap are… interesting to say the very least

Nomaan

They finished the show a couple days ago. Carter said so on discord

GB3

They probably finished the show by now

Not today

please watch Game of thrones the muscial by Coldplay

TheSauceGuy

It was definitely forced like many things in the show, but ig I'm just an outlier in that I didn't feel uncomfortable watching it. I felt uncomfortable with the Sansa stuff. Also, she does kinda come across as a sociopath at times tbh.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

The heartfelt "I can be your family" to the "badass" "lemme hit" -- what only a "true" "strong" "independent woman" would say!

A_Daddy Daichi

Huh it wasn’t giving emotional for me for some reason. His voice just sounds completely different

alternia though

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4J16GzUJ28 Once you guys are finished with the show, I'd highly recommend watching Alt Shift X's lore videos. My personal favorite, and one I think you guys would also really enjoy, is the one about what's in the East of the GOT world (a lot of crazy stuff apparently). I linked it above, it's honestly remarkable how much detail goes into the books' worldbuilding.

Amna 🍉

Sansa does learn from them, she even says that in the books BUT she learns WHAT NOT TO DO as a queen or person in power.

Josh Viz

Lmao you watched these guys entire blind/honest review of this show with explanations backing their opinions and you STILL think that those reviews were a major factor? 😂 I'm sorry but after this series, If anything, you should be contemplating your own stance

Vanessa Sanchez

That’s the spirit Cannon… finding something positive within this faulty season. 😅🤪🤓🤷🏻‍♀️

Marquist Simms

You guys need toform your own opinion sbout season 8 just assuming its bad without seeing it thru is not genuine. Youre going in expecting it to be bad so all the bad things youre already ready to hyper focus on

Alexa

I don't give a f what Dany wants anymore. I think she's out of line asking Jon to keep his heritage a secret from everyone including his family. I think she's out of line to not show some respect to the rightful king. If he wants her to still rule, that should be his choice, and he should get to decide how to go about it. I get that she's been thrown for a loop, but she makes it entirely about herself. "I wish you'd never told me" hurts so freaking much. The man spent his entire life feeling like an outsider, believing he was a bastard. I'd want to scream that from the rooftops, but he was respectful and told her first. Gaaaaah I just hate everything about it

Jackson Carter

I mean, what we are seeing is bad…. So our opinions are definitely forming. But you gotta our reactions for the final episode lol

Alexa

I also agree with Jack about the spat in the war room. Sansa was looking out for the people, as she should. It's more difficult to win a war with wounded and weary soldiers. Yeah Dany, you helped them, good job, but if you hadn't there'd be no kingdom to rule, so don't act like you weren't also helping yourself. It gives me a headache lol

Marquist Simms

Sure but you and mckay seen it already and are the main ones mentioning that its bad before the other guys can even speak you guys are definitely influencing their thoughts in a way

Skyz

The last two episodes, this one in particular have been so genuinely bad by Game of Thrones standards i can barely stand to rewatch the show. This isn't like season 5 or 7 where people hate it in retrospect, most of the fandom hated season 8 as the episodes were releasing. Jack hated episode 3 so much that he didn't even bother to finish the rest of the show as it was airing.

Skyz

I don't even think that's a hot take, episode 1 and 2 were just OK. Episode 3 had some glaring problems but episode 4 is an illogical hot mess.

Skyz

Honestly you guys should drop the last two episodes so we can all be put out of our misery

Dev

@Brig I would keep your secrets fr fr

Euphemia Isobel

He’s not the rightful king… Rhaegar died before Aerys, Viserys is the heir and his heir is Daenerys. Jon joined the night’s watch, he has surrendered his family name and inheritance. The throne was taken by conquest by Cersei. That leaves Daenerys being the rightful heir by lineage, Cersei is the rightful heir by conquest.

Alexa

Rhaegar was still the oldest son of Aerys, heir to the throne, therefore his son would be next in line. Sam and Bran literally said it. Also in Westeros a king would be chosen over a queen with almost no contest. As far as him joining the Night's Watch, now that there is no threat in the North, I'm fairly certain all vows to serve are meaningless. Anyway, Jon doesn't want to be king, which is his choice. But Dany, to me, is way out of pocket for acting like he would be betraying her simply for owning his heritage. Jon was stupid for telling his family though if his goal was to unite them with Dany lol.

Alexa

I watched these episodes as they aired and was miserable. This is bs lol

Euphemia Isobel

Sam & Bran saying it doesn't change how it actually works in the story, and regardless Jon forfeited his claim to the throne joining the Night's watch just as Aemon did. It doesn't matter in the end because the only purpose in the TV show of Jon being a Targaryen is to cause Daenerys to spiral, that was literally it's only plot purpose which is insane. Completely wasted a great story.

Sandra Yost

I couldn’t agree with you more Marquist. I watched this reaction thinking the exact same thing. Don’t forget that we were given 7 wonderful years of this amazing show and now let’s shoot it all down in season 8 because all the hype is now thwarted by 2 people who have seen this already. I’m so frustrated watching these reactions where every move is criticized so negatively. Just end it already or keep an open mind for crying out loud!! Love you guys though, just needed to put in my 2 cents

castles in the air

Tbh my first time watching S8 and I do not get why it is rated so much lower than other seasons. The writing has been this sloppy since season 5. I'm guessing because the show stops pandering to the fan base but outside of the Arya thing, this rly isnt that much worse than seasons 5-7

JJ

I disagree I just believe it becomes more apparent on re-watches that seasons 5-8 get progressively more sloppy as the seasons go on. five isnt that much worse than the first four, just a couple of storyline povs bring it down, but six you start to notice more and seven takes a big dip, while 8 is just a culmination of scenes that they feel need to happen in order to wrap up the story.

castles in the air

Season 5 was terrible. Dorne story. Faith militant. Aryas training arc. The only redeeming part was the White Walker stuff. It took a fast dive after the end of season 4.

Shadow

Bb complaining about Dany Stan’s and her non stop is kinda… something. Like we get it…

ssj4rit

Yeah I binged the series in 2019 and the drop after s4 is noticeable, especially starting with the Dorne plot. Still think S8 is the worst season though, but I think most people just excused the odd writing choices of s5-7 as “it will all make sense in the end.” Then it didn’t.

Shadow

All my favs are so hard to watch rn. Like every Jon, Dany, Sansa, and Lannister scene makes me want to turn off the episode. And they are some of my fav characters ever😔

Animeke

The Night King should've been the final boss and Cersei should've been taken care of a long time ago. Period.

Ladnon

You guys should watch Lucifer

Skyz

Jackson stopped watching after episode 3 when it aired, him saying episode 4 is bad is his first time watching.

Skyz

Jon didn't swear to not tell anyone, Sansa did.

CHIEF

I actually REALLY like the moment between Sansa and Sandor, I only wish she would've thanked him for taking care of Arya for a while instead of some of the other things they discussed. That's the thing about this season, even my favorite moments I feel could've been improved with a second pass at the script, especially if even a half-wit like me can see the issues so blatantly.

Sean Carroll

Sandra, we got 4 amazing years, after that it was average for 2 years and just straight garbage for 2 more years

A_Daddy Daichi

Sandra, I don’t understand the “all the hype is now thwarted by 2 people who have seen this already” comment… They’ve said GoT is still a great story despite the writing issues in the last couple of seasons. Jack only saw the first 2-3 eps of S8 a long time ago. The other boys voiced their own opinions of the first 3 eps that they saw with their own 2 eyes lol

Afra

@blodreina umm I think ur obsession with dany stans is concerning 💀 Sansa did not fear for Jon’s safety bc she told Tyrion herself that there is “someone better” the second she heared the truth about his parents. She wants him on the throne she just doesn’t like her for whatever reason and it’s not just dany stans that see it that way it’s the majority of watchers… blind loyalty? Atleast we’re loyal to one person only.

Nomaan

The show makers messed up a lot of stuff that people have issues with, I think we can point out how dumb this decision was Lola

Nomaan

Literally! We saw brans dreams of the 3 eyed raven and his visions, why couldn’t we get Dany’s? Even Jon and Arya’s tbh

Nomaan

Idk I feel like Missandei meant Cersei… like burn this bitch to the ground 😭 not hundreds of thousands of innocent people😂

lola

It’s really hard… the actors could only do so much with the script

JJ

I don’t see how anyone believes the ‘same sloppiness’ from 8 is in 5 lol. it isn’t even the same types of problems. 8 had no nuance or time to breathe, just important moment after important moments that weren’t written well. 5 had that time to breathe, and a lot (not all) of it still had quality writing, even if people didn’t like what was happening. It feels like they were trying still, they just weren’t good at it. 7 and 8 feels like they just gave up and want to get it over with

victoria t

Varys has always stated that his loyalty was to the realm, which is why he’s so “flip-floppy”. He changes his mind on the best info at the time

NoneOfYourBeeswax

Varys believed "The Realm" was best served by having the Mad King in charge. Only Robert's pardon spared his life after that folly. Then after 20 years of peace during Robert's "rule" (he farmed out actual rule to his Hand and the Small Council) Varys decided that "the realm" was best served by having the despicable Viserys Targaryen invade Westeros with an army of Dothraki ravagers, who, had they made it to Westeros, would have raped, pillaged and looted to an extent that made the Lannister's sacking of King's Landing look like a tea party. Then he changed allegiance to the Dragon Queen, and turned against her in a hot minute, with no just cause. The only time we see him advise Daenerys is when he tells her not to bring Fire & Blood to King's Landing after she defeated the Army of the Dead at Winterfell. She heeded his advice, but it was not enough to prevent him trying to murder her (again). Varys talks a big game, but his actions belie his words - he's really a snake in the grass, whose "loyalties" change with the tides.

Amna 🍉

Bc it would give Dany more relevance and we can't have that when Jon is still there 🤡

Tim Moore

why are you spoiling stuff dude, keep the comments to yourself until they ARE PAST THOSE PARTS. JEsus christ

Tokyo Ghoul Supremacist

I kinda wish the show had kept Varys' hidden intentions from the books. Sucks that they cut the whole Young Griff/Old Griff stuff from the books cause it makes Varys a little more black and white than I feel like he should be. It makes Varys feel a little too 'good' compared to most characters in the show.

Bellamy Blake

@nikita lol of course she wants to overthrow Dany. In a situation with 2 heirs it always ends in the death of one. HoTD exists for a reason… maybe Jon and Dany could get married but the point is Sansa really doesn’t trust Dany. sure, if you can bring up that Sansa was influenced by Cersei and LF, even tho technically you are making that up within the context of the scene and there’s no indication that this is an actual influence for Sansa in the that moment. She couldn’t tell Tyrion to keep Jon safe unless she told him why. And why won’t she think he is better than Dany? She knows he wouldn’t make demands and casual threats like her and he wouldn’t be oppressing people with dragons. Pretty easy choice between the two if you’re Sansa. yall want to gaslight act like Sansa was wrong about her when she ended up killing more innocents than anyone. 😬 if Dany turns out a pure hero in the books that’s great. Just not the case in the show.

Amna 🍉

I don't think Carter is ready for truly how much they left out. Is almost a different story by book 3

darist

Yeah I agree, season 5 and 8 aren't comparable at all. Season 5 at worst was just boring at times because the new plot lines werent as interesting, but there was still a lot of good dialogue every episode even if it wasn't near the level of the previous seasons. I wasn't cringing hard every scene like I do with season 8 lol (outside of the dorne stuff of course)

G

U guys should watch mha

ssj4rit

I think no matter what happens, we all have to agree Arya has immense powers of observation and knows a killer when she sees one.

Bellamy Blake

lol Jon doesn’t tho😔that’s why she had to say that to him because he was basically like 😴 after KL got massacred

Jaime

Cannon finding the positive like I did in 2019 lol, this was a hard rewatch :(

Camille Makoa

Why was the ep cut off there? Cannon, would love to hear what you think they should have they done to redo this!

jetiLP On Kwok

Well Danny, kinda forgot, about the iron fleet.

Gnarlybudz

Taking pride in burning cities to the ground, executing POWs, mass torture isn’t different than any brutal ruler before her. She isn’t interested in making the world a better place. She just wants power. If she truly cared about her people she’d stand aside and let Jon(the rightful King) take over.

This is my 1st rewatch of this episode after 1000000x rewatch of the series. It's worst than I remember 😂😂😂😂

Them cutting away from John's sisters finding about his name was the nail in the coffin for me. Even tho it still gets worse from here, that was when I decided I truly hated this season. Utter horse shit

Smokey

Daenerys is still at quite a large advantage, she didn't bring all of her troops to winterfell. The golden company was only 20k men

Michael

So Euron’s 11 ships took out Daenerys’ 20+ ships? And neither the dragons nor Daenerys saw Euron’s fleet directly in front of them? That’s just too much to believe

Thomas Strunk

honestly super tough. texted 2-3 friends today reminding them that i've been... reminded how bad season 8 is

Thomas Strunk

Sansa is the most butchered character in the entire show. Went from annoying child, to maybe super powerful woman, to annoying, dumb "i dunt trust her" character about Dany. Wild/awful arc. Makes no logical sense.

Brent Kilgore

Jamie's arc uno reverse is the most depressing thing in cinema

Michael Garcia

Nah, Dany is just a spoiled brat. Sansa has more logic behind her reasons while Dany just keeps crying for support.

im confused about brig talking about missandei's death in the intro? i thought they got mixed up but the other clips make sense for this ep. am i going crazy

kimwa

who was he talking about in the first 15 seconds with “top 5 deaths” i couldn’t hear. cannon talked about missandei then brig said it right after

Mike Donohue

I just pressed play on the video and am so confused and yours is the first comment im seeing lmao

kimwa

it’s like 13 secs into the intro 😭 but it’s okay i’ve just told myself he was prob talking about someone else

@Octavia Blake Gaslight? What are you talking about? We're discussing the story up to the point of that conversation with Tyrion. What Dany does later is not relevant. Sansa doesn't have spidey senses about the future nor has Bran said anything about Dany being untrustworthy (the only 2 possible scenarios her distrust would make sense). Sansa doesn't trust Dany based on what? Who has she threatened in front of her? Up to this point, she's put aside her agenda, brought her armies North and helped them defeat the NK and suffered a great loss for it. She even tried to bond with her only for Sansa to randomly bring up the North's independence again when she's not even queen yet and can't make that decision. Just because she doesn't offer the North's independence in the future, she's some evil tyrant? You know who else didn't give the North it's independence? Robert Baratheon. And he was Ned's best friend. The point is all of the tension and distrust between Sansa and Dany is contrived and unrealistic. What we were discussing was whether Sansa told Tyrion solely out of fear for Jon's life, or more. So you're telling me she couldn't tell Tyrion she's afraid for Jon's safety by just telling him the reason she's afraid? She could have just said "Jon is the real heir and I'm afraid Dany will kill him" Simple as that. But she specifically chooses to say "What if there's someone better?" Yeah, of course, Jon is better in her eyes, he's her brother. But that means not only is she taking agency away from him about becoming the King but also choosing to conspire to kill someone he clearly cares about. At the very least this makes her a shitty person.

"Dany kinda forgot about the Iron Fleet" is a direct quote from David Benioff. It's so bad it's frustrating lol. There is no logical explanation for getting surprise attacked from a bird's eye view with open water all around. How do you hide an entire fleet of ships? And then they went 3 for 3 shots on Rhaegal, a moving target that is very far away and high in the air.
